Augustijn Grand Cru

Full body - staying head - amber color with a spicy, malty palate that finishes very fruity with complex hoppy undertones.

2015 update: according to the brewer’s website, this is the same beer as St. Stefanus Grand Cru.

3.6 Golden yellow colour, good head. Fruity, slightly alcoholic smell. Fruits -cherries- dominate the taste. Smooth. Full body. Subtle bitterness. Well balanced. Nice.
Medium volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel.
3.5 Clear golden color with lacing off-white head. Aroma has caramel, tropical fruits, wheat and special. Taste is malty sweet with long somewhat bitter and quite sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, woody notes, fruits and some wheat.
3.3 Muddy Golden with excellent foam! Nose. Restrained. Malt, fruit (Pear) yeast, esters Taste: The body is dense, the taste is fruity-malt, the aftertaste is fruity notes and a delicate hop bitterness.
3.6 En copa Grimbergen. Viendo Cristal Oscuro 1x09-10.
2.3 33cl bottle. Got it als a Hors Tripel. It's an ok beer, but too much sugary taste for me
3.7 A Strong strong tasting beer, nowhere for anything to hide, it is clean, but the alcoholic warmth comes through with a bit of a bite. online Beerwulf
3.6 On tap at The Yard House in Lombard, IL. served to a tulip showing a clear, golden color, with a persistently fluffy layer of soft white froth that produced some wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was fruity, with dried pit variety, apple & skins, berries, malt sweetness, subtle spice, and just a touch of yeast induced banana. Medium+ bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was similar, adding fruity, slight rind, and earthy astringency, coupled with a good dose of alcohol, resulting in a bit of heat & harshness on the palate.
Citrus o lite jäst i doften. Frisk fruktighet, citrus, kiwi, päron o måttlig sötma. Lite beska på slutet. God, ovanligt frisk lite lättare tripel.
3.4 Pours cloudy gold with a thin white head, aroma notes include apple, pear, and biscuits. Tasting notes include apple, pear, astringent, and biscuits.
3.4 0.33l bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a huge loose white head. Aroma of sugar syrup, hay and earthy hops. Taste of dark sugar, coriander and orange zest. Not bad but nothing special about it either.
2.9 A bottle yesterday at the Cafe Bastille near Taipower MRT. Aroma: vinous. Appearance: rather opaque lemon amber, poured into a Duvel snifter this was one of the most momentous heads I've ever seen. Palate: full-bodied and slick, average carbonation, long and boozy finish. Taste: medium-bitter, plenty of pepper. Hit the spot, but ultimately rather unsubtle.
3.2 Pours a hazy straw gold with a massive pile of foam (how do they do that?!). Aroma is floral and pear. Taste is moderately sweet with a spicy bitter finish. There are notes of pear, grapes, bread, vanilla, corn, herbs, and hot alcohol. Light to medium bodied with full carbonation. The alcohol is a little too prominent and although it has an interesting complexity I’m not a huge fan.
4.1 Flaska från Beergium. 2015 vintage. Mycket gott.
3.1 Transparent yellow color with a soapy white head of good retention and lacing. Aroma of white cereal, sweet bread and Belgian yeast. Taste of sweet cereal, corn, yeast, fermented white fruits (banana, white plum or grapes) and some spices with strong presence of alcohol. Watery texture, medium-light body and medium-high carbonation. A Belgian Strong beer, although it's quite light in texture, full of flavor and alcohol. It does quite well.
3.8 Bottle (750ml from Drew). Very clear light golden with huge white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and slight funk. Taste is sweet and fruity (pear and apple). Medium plus body, lots of carbonation. This bottle was dated 5/2013 (more than years year old). I was surprised how well it lasted (aged if you are into that). I really like this one.
Drinkt gemakkelijk weg. Gevaarlijk.
3.6 Bottle 330 ml. Golden, hazy, snow-white foam. Aroma: esters, higher alcohols and perfume, pear, apple, dry sherry. Strong taste, warming, malt, slightly citrus, apple seeds, bitter finish.
3.6 Brilliant white fluffy head stayed well on a hazy, light golden still body - looks tremendous! Belgian yeast , spice & herbaceous aroma. Medium bodied, tingly on the palate & a sharp clean finish. Spicy peppery tastes with Belgian yeast, coriander & citrus.

3.4 Bottle from online shop. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, a bit of hops, earthy notes, toffee, malts and a bit of yeast. Bitter finish with citrus, earthy notes, toffee, malts, a bit of yeast and toast. Solid Belgian strong ale, very easy to drink.
3.5 Floral aroma in a golden pour. Laid back Belgian banana bubblegum body is semi-sweet and way stronger than you’d think. Well worth being wary of.
3.7 Bottle 0,33. Cloudy golden colour. The taste is sweet sugary, but not too much. Easy to forget it is 9%.
