3.7 Clear bright golden with a thin foamy white head. Light pale earthy grainy aroma with a noble herbal bitterness. Crisp delicate flavor that’s pale and clean with a hint of earthy grainy notes. Pretty ok!

2.8 Bottle from the local supermarket. Poured clear golden with rapidly diminishing white lace top that leaves barely a halo. Not a lot to the scent: a hint of malt and maybe a smidgen of hop but aroma is certainly not its thing.Taste is medium sweet to lightly bitter but again it is a fine line between balance and blandness. Palate is medium bodied, slightly sticky texture, average to soft carbonation and a lingering bread finish. Tbf, it wasn't chilled and that may make all the difference to the character boasted about by the marketeers, but it is a beer that sharply divides the cognoscenti. Some of RB's connoisseurs, albeit in their younger days, have been fans. I am none of the above: connoisseur; young; or fan.

3.4 Bottle from the canal house Nottingham. Clear pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are citrus fruity and slight sweet. Medium body.

3.2 Bottle from Connolly's Wine Merchants. Pours gold with small white head. Aroma of grains, bread, sweetness, hint of lemon. Full bodied by lager standards, taste grainy, a bit doughy with lemon note. Its ok.

3.0 Golden with a medium sized foamy white head. Tangy and sweet with a bit of grainiess followed by lemon and grape notes. Long finish. Medium body.

3.0 500ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow white head. Grainy, strawy, minimally musty, pale malty aroma, hints of wet straw, whiffs of horse dung. Taste is minimally strawy and spicy, pale malty, slightly bitter hoppy, minimally mineral. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, foamy, soft carbonation. Clean, balanced, relatively spicy and mineral - decent.

2.9 Lecker und rund, aber sehr schaumig. Würzig und doch zurückhaltend. Nichts Außergewöhnliches, aber wohlschmeckend. Eher unauffällig...

4.0 Bottle. Clear pale gold with a righteous white head. Aroma of grains, spice, bread, soap, dough and floral hops. Taste is all that (minus the soap) topped off by a beautiful spiciness. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Soft mouthfeel. Amazing balance and drinkability. I’m quite puzzled I haven’t rated this yet as it’s one of my default choices when I crave a hearty Export.

3.2 Bottle from Total Wine Perfectly nice export lager, I guess. Pretty aggressively carobonated, very pretty clear yellow with white head. Smells a bit like the beers my dad drank back in the day, i.e., grain + skunk. A tiny bit sweet / fruity compared to the usual Helles, alcohol fairly prominent for the style and ABV. It's OK.

2.7 Flaska från Lidl, Dresden. Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Maltig och söt med toner av citrus och gräs. Torr avslutning.

3.2 0,5l bottle from BILLA PLUS supermarket near Kittsee, Austria. F: medium, white, good retention. C: very pale gold, clear. A: mostly malty, bit bready, hoppy touch. T: medium malty base, bready, more on the sweet side yet ok for the style white means quite boring beer in this case, very light hoppy, soft carbonation, partially enjoyed.

2.8 Kolor klarowny, złoty. Piana biała, wysoka o długim czasie redukcji. Na ściankach tworzy nieregularne kręgi. Aromat słodowy z delikatnymi akcentami chmielowymi w typie trawiastym. W smaku słodka słodowosc i delikatna nutą kwaskowa. Goryczka niska na finiszu, chmielowa. Wysycenie średnie. Ciało średnie. Tekstura "okrągła". Posmak słodowy, delikatny.

3.0 Mooi goud geel helder bier met een stevige witte schuimkraag en een stevige koolzuur parel. Het bier smaakt lekker granig zoet met een mooi moutig karakter. Daarnaast een klein beetje karamel en citrus, en eindigt hop bitter, bloemig en een beetje droog/straf.

4.6 Optisch klar und wunderbar goldgelb. Eine feine Perlage steigt langsam nach oben und zeigt an, dass dieses Bier wohl mit einer guten Schüttung eingebraut ist. Die weiße, mittel- bis feinporige Schaumkrone gibt sich flaumig und wahnsinnig gut haltbar. Der Duft sehr dicht und süßlich getreidig malzig. Dazu ausgesprochen würzig mit floralen Noten, die schon ein wenig an Blütenhonig erinnern. Angenehm spritzig und frisch im Antrunk! Im Mittelteil explodieren jedoch die Aromen am Gaumen. Massives Getreidearoma mit einer unglaublich präsenten Würze. Die Hopfenaromen halten sich dabei nobel zurück und schwingen im Hintergrund angenehm mit. Die Vollmundigkeit dieses Bieres ist kaum zu überbieten und die dadurch resultierende Süffigkeit ebenso. Im Abgang hält diese tolle Aromatik sehr lange an und es macht eine riesen Freude, so ein Bier zu trinken. Es ist bemerkenswert, wie rund und harmonisch dieses Bier bei dieser intensiven Aromatik ist. Sowas sieht man wirklich selten. DAS ist der Inbegriff eines Export und garantiert eines der besten Biere der Welt!

3.4 I had it from the bottle. The aroma is grain and slight floral hops. The taste is grain, slight hops, and malt. This tastes very fresh. It's simple but solid.

4.0 Nice golden color, white, medium lasting head. Malty, bready, hay-like, yeasty complex aroma with some noble hops in the nose. Elegant, medium sweet malty taste, great body and carbonation, just enough bitterness to round it up. A very nice, above decent Helles, great one.

3.9 Bouteille 50cl bue ce dimanche soir, avec facilité. Très bonne helles, facile à boire et en même temps, elle montre un peu de corps. Le houblon est floral, l'ensemble est très bien.
