3.3 Bottle. Quite easy märzen. Absolutely well hidden alcohol. Malty with grassy feel and tiny little bit of honey. Okay
3.5 Bright and bold golden colour. Luscious and long-lasting head. Aroma is hay and wheat. Taste is malty and grassy. Nice and crisp.
3.9 Aroma; sweet bread, grain, sweet mash, wort, syrup, solid malts here. Look; off white tall head, nice lacing, clear amber body. Taste; tasty malts, sweet bread, toffee grain, fruity mash, nutty syrup, almond, and finishes malted. Feel; good body, and normal co². Overall; good festive märzen.
3.5 Bottle from Orterer, drunk during the Apple event. Yellow golden amber, small head. Dark spicy-sweet nose. Smooth flavor and bitterness, slightly sweet, nice grain background, tasty beer. One of the best Oktoberfest beers in Munich.
3.4 50cl bottle at home, got from an online store. Had many before writing this review. Pours pale clean golden with thin white head, that didn't last too long. Sweet' pale malt and grain aroma, hay, lemon zest, honey, not the most intense one for an Augustiner beer. Taste is malt and cereals with some corn, also notes of honey, cinnamon, lemon and a slight touch of grassy, a bit spicy hops in the end. Mostly a very sweet beer though, maybe a bit too much for me. Surely is very smooth, easy drinking and goes down easily with a nice 6.3% abv that is very welcome, so i guess it's for sure a good beer and completely fulfils its purpose, but i found the taste to be just slightly behind the one i generally expect from Augustiner, with the same extreme drinkability and smoothness and high alcohol percentage. Still a really good beer.
3.0 50cl Bottle @ Drinks of The World, Geneva, Switzerland. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, grain. Taste is malt, sweet, grain. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.4 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clean golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of cooked sweetcorn, pale malt, cereal grains. Taste has a light herbal bitterness, more sweet malt. Clean finish. Easy drinking.
2.5 Shared bottle at September tasting. Golden color with white head. Aroma of malt, diacetyl. Taste, mal, too much diacetyl, corn. Not tasty.
2.9 C: clear amber N: grain, malt P: malt, sweet corn, grainy, not the greatest...
2.8 Bottle at a tasting. Thin body, moderate carbonation. Assertive cooked corn, also moderate syrupy sugary sweetness. Lack of hops, med-light bitterness, practically no hops flavour. Average macrobeer.
3.0 Bottle at Slovak tasting 09/2020. Pours golden color, white head. Aroma of malt, grain. Taste is medium sweet, malty, some corn.
2.8 clear golden colour, large, dense white head; aroma of grassy, wet grainy and bready notes; taste of a grainy lager; not bad, though nothing really extraordinary

3.3 Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour, one finger soapy white head, short lasting. Little to no lacing on the glass as it goes down. Sweet malty nose, grainy and grassy notes, clean and fresh. Thin body, medium to high carbonation. Prickly, fizzy mouthfeel, light texture. Balanced bittersweet taste and aroma. Malt, grains, touch of grassiness. Mild caramel. Slight herbal spiciness. Bready. Lingering mild bitterness with sweet aftertaste, good balance. Medium lasting finish. Simple, clean and refreshing. Good thirst quencher.
4.1 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a very clear golden/yellow colour with a medium sized white throthy head. Fairly lively carbonation. Aromas of malt, hop, hay, grass, cereal grain, bread, honey and very faint lemon. Taste is again the same notes as the aroma, malty, medium bodied, smooth buttery very slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice and crisp. A nice mild hop bitterness at the finish and a long lingering aftertaste. Very well balanced. It’s a great full flavoured and tasty lager.
3.4 I always thought it was impossible to get Augustiner OF beer outside Germany so I grabbed this off the shelf. I can see why they're thought to be Bavaria's best brewer. Subtle and light. Biscuit, caramel malt. From the hope, orange, grass, herbs, cinnamon. Not as much fun as the Hacker Pschorr tent but a lovely beer.
3.3 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into mug. Appearance: Clear golden colour, rich head which soon fades to small with nice lacing. Aroma: Malt, grains. Palate: Light body, gentle carbonation. Taste: Malt, sweet, grain, bread, hops; gently bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Very nice beer, drinkable and easy, good for enjoyment.
3.2 Bottiglia.
3.0 Pours an unknown color from the traditional wooden beer barrel, with a fluffy cap of white foam that dissipates fairly quickly in the opaque ceramic glass. Aroma of clean pilsner and melanoidin malts, herbal and earthy hops, and a traditional German lager yeast. Taste follows, a light metallic note develops the more you drink which is unfortunate. Not sure if it was from the cleaning method of the glasses or the ceramic was actually leaching iron, but it got almost unbearable by the end of the liter. I guess that is Oktoberfest in Bayern for you.
3.3 Bottles from Lupe Pintos and Cork & Cask. Clear golden body with a lasting white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of parsnip, straw, salted pear and earth. Flavour of grain, grass, steel and pear skin. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Simple and easy to drink - just not very exciting.
3.6 The best oktoberfest beer I’ve had. So crisp and clean, without the terrible harshness that many of the other big breweries have. Grainy and a bit stronger. Fantastic even at 8 months old. D&S dreaden
3.4 500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 6.3%. Rich yellow gold colour. Small, short-lasting head. Slight citrus and bready, corny aroma. Moderate-medium carbonation. Taste does not follow the aroma thankfully, there's a mild nondescript citrus bittersweet kick but then a rich dark-bread malt makes itself known, much better than weedy reedy lagery white-bread malts, and really carries this beer. It's sweet, even verging on caramely, but it's anything but sickly, and the flavours mesh very well, giving the brewer quite an accomplished impression - something most Augustiner beers tend to do. If it takes 6.3% ABV to have a lager with this level of flavour, go for it I say.
3.4 From fass @Birrifugio Trastevere (Rome). Dorata, limpidissima, brillante, schiuma bianca media, molto persistente. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Nonostante tutto, ha un suo perché.
3.1 50cl bottle. Clear pale golden, big white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts. Taste also sweet pale malts, caramel, almost no bitterness. Medium body.
3.4 Bottle picked up from REWE, Zolling and consumed at home, Attenkirchen, Sunday 6th October 2019 cooking Minced Beef and Cheese Pies and listening to Elena Tonra from Daughter and her solo album Ex:Re. Pours golden with a clean white head. Enjoying this, malty but certainly not too sweet, in fact displays a little dryness and a bit of bitterness, crisp and cleaner than expected.
3.3 500ml bottle in 2016. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of hay, light lemon zest and honey. Flavour is grainy, with measured sweetness and quite crisp.
3.1 Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, grain, medium bitter. Medium body, malty bitter finish. Ok.
