2.9 Bottle, gusher. Black pour. Aroma of cherry, chocolate, soft tart and licorice. Taste has cherries, sweet chocolate, some cardboard, licorice, caramel and way too much co2. Flavors are quite faint. Not very good.
3.4 Shared bottle at Olut Sabadell. Dark brown with vanilla head. Coffee aroma when cool and as it warms evolves into chocolate. A bit oily, but very light palate.
3.0 Shared bottle @OlutSabadell. Pours dark brown. Aroma of roasted coffee. Taste of chocolate.
4.6 Alez odkrywczy dla mnie Porter. Jeden z najciekawszych w ostatnich latach.
Przyjemne.
3.4 Aroma of banana with some cherries. Some alcohol in the aftertaste. Sweet and very roasty. Not bad.
3.3 Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Stas. Brown. Nice aroma of chocolate, roast, coffee. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, light roast, a bit of nuts, fruity note, and a slightly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Pretty nice.
3.5 At the Dancing Camel, Pours brown with a beige head, aroma of chocolate cocoa, flavor of chocolate, cocoa, medium bodied
3.5 Pours black, small head. Aroma is roasted, light coffee, dark chocolate, burnt sugar. Balanced. Medium body.
3.4 Black, no head. Roasted aroma with some bourbon and vanilla extract. Taste is dark chocolate and vanilla.
3.8 Pours medium dark brown with a reddish hue. Small/thin but quite persisten light beige head. Nose: Freshly roasted coffe beans and roasted malt. Not much more. But what’s there is defined and aromatics and .... quite nice . Taste: Medium body, slightly vinous, with balance, elegance and good length (on the "taste curve"). Nice roasted malt and coffee taste, with rounded edges, coated with a mild softness. The cherries are well hidden, or perhaps just so well integrated that they don’t stand out on their own. I suspect that the cherries may be what contributes to the elegance and lightness of the taste here. A porter on the lighter side which is elegant, fruity(?) and very drinkable!! I like it!
3.1 Bottle, 330 ml. Black, hardly any carbonation. Strong scent of coffee. Taste is coffee, tar and, indeed, fruity and sweet cherry and a bit of cocoa. Nice dessert brew.
3.7 fajnie wygląda w szkle. w zapachu likier wiśniowy, alkohol wyczuwalny. w smaku palone, kawowe. całkiem dobre
3.6 Dark bodied, nice looks. Good stout aroma, dark roast, bourbon vanilla, candy sugar. Sweet aroma but taste isn’t so much, luckily. But too Prickly carbonation though, not very fine palate. Nice brew, especially the aroma. (33cl bottle from De Kaapse Brouwers shop)
3.9 L: -pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a huge, foamy, beige head S: -coffee,nougat,licorice,spicy,dark chocolate T: -coffee,nutty,chocolate,spicy,acidic,cherry,licorice -medium bitterniss for the style F: -way overcarbonated -light to medium body -no alcohol noticeable O: Good ,though way overcarbonated Cherry Porter. I’d recommend the Pöhjala Must Kuld-Cherry over this
2.9 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.2 Bottle. Opaque dark brown beer with a large beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, molasses, chocolate, red fruit and herbs. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, molasses, herbs and red fruit. Well balanced.
2.9 Sample @ Voldby Ølfestival 2016. Pours seethrough black with a small offwhite head. Notes of malts, sweet cherries, toast, caramel, roast.
Weak blackish pour with a off white head. Notes of sweet cherries, malty sweet, light chocolate and some roast.
3.6 Aroma: cherries and cocoa, roasted. Appearance: brown reddish color and creamy head. Taste: tart cherries, cocoa, bitter chocolate, roasted, dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, roasted finish. Overall: Decent, nice cherries notes.
3.5 0,33l Flasche. Dunkelbraunes fast klares Bier, wenig Schaum. Schokoladiger Röstmalzduft. Im Antrunk kommt Frucht und mehr Schwehre. Kirsche, Bitterschokolade, Malz.
3.8 Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is dark chocolate, cherry, roasted, taste is sweet, sugary chocolate, cherry.
3.3 33cl bottle from Heinemann, OSL. Pours very dark brown with a fairly modest, beige head. Roasty aroma with notes of cherries, dark chocolate, hints of licorice, coffee and wood too. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity, light acidic notes and a balanced bitterness. Nice and desserty.
3.4 A really nice, really thick imperial porter. Chocolate is really stand out, but the cherries are what gives this beer definition, a little sourness. Tried courtesy of Paul who picked it up in the Oslo airport on his way to Amsterdam in 2016.
Bitterzure afdronk. Ik zal ’m niet nog eens kopen.
3.2 A bit thin for an Imperial Porter. The taste is what the name suggests, chocolate and cherries, with some coffe and roasted malt as well. The cherries add a bit of sourness to the taste that saves it a bit, otherwise pretty mediocre.
3.2 Svart farge med tynt beige skum. Lukter av mørke bær. Mørk sjololade, kaffe og vanilje. Mild i smak og lett bitter ettersmak.
3.7 Flaske.
3.8 Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and modeerate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter very roasted flavor. Coffee and just a little chery present. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.
