A ’saison-esque’ brew with peaches, honey and jasmine, combining intense flavors with summertime quaffability. 65/35 pale two-row to pale wheat, lightly hopped to accentuate the fruit and spices. OG 1.065, FG 1.007.

3.3Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with an off-white head. Aroma of light toasted malts and fruit with a hint of citrus. Flavor is sweet and fruity with a hint of yeast and toasted malts. A little bit of hop citrus in the finish but too sweet for me.
3.5Bottle to snifter. Pours clear gold with a faint peach hue. The head is white and fluffy soapy looking and then fades to a fizzy film and collar. Aroma has fruity chacteristics and bread with the peaches showing as well. Taste is biscuit and spices a little white pepper and cinnamon with a faint peach flavor. Palate is medium and fizzy carbonation with a bready dry finish. The finish also shows a warming swallow from the alcohol. I found it somewhat tasty and glad I found a bottle to try!
3.9Très bonne saison pas trop abîmé par l’age, au contraire, très douce. La levure dévoile tout son profile de foin humide, d’agrumes. Belle représentation du style.
2.922OZ in a half-liter mug - pours lightly hazy gold with white head and moderate lacing. Nose is Belgian yeast. Aroma is spicy (pepper), light hops and a little smoky/roasted. Tastes is ever-so slightly sweet and lightly bitter on the finish. Medium body with mild carbonation and slick texture. Nothing special. This beer could have made a fine belgian ale.
3.7Pours hazy gold with medium white head. Aroma is earthy, spicey, florals and maybe a hint of pears. Taste is sweet and spicey, a little tartness on the finish as well. Finishes somewhat dry.
3.7A nice saison, with big notes of yeastiness, spices and sweet fruitiness. Light and crisp enough to be very drinkable, but with adequately deep flavors and alcohol to make it stand apart from lighter offerings.
3.6Poured from a bomber into a session glass. Appearance is a hazy gold with a thick head of beige foam resting atop. Aroma is spicy and slightly grassy. I get notes of jasmine and light herbal hops. Taste is spicy, estery, herbal, and a touch grassy. Pretty good for as long as it’s been setting in the refrigerator.
3.4Sweet, honey meadish aroma with a little bit of belgian spice detected.
pale color with brilliant clarity. a little ring of foam around the glass hangs around the entire time. very prevalent honey sweetness, mixed with alcohol and some Belgian yeast spiciness. super light body with effervescent carbonation (tingly!). Bitter sweet aftertaste. Overall, an interesting beer, refreshing for the hotter weather. I have another bottle, but will probably not age it much longer.
3.0An interesting brew; aroms has some flowers and honey. The body is a bit strained at first, but mostly it’s peaches. The finish is stickier, probably form the honey. Certainly unique but not necessarily all that good.
3.6From August 2009 notes.
A: The beer pours a cloudy golden straw color with a tall white head.
S: An incredibly floral aroma. Lots of jasmine to it along with some of the peach and perhaps even a touch of honey. A light malt note to it, very soft but slightly sweet. Quite a bit of yeast with a mild citrus note.
T: The flavor has a distinct spice and intense floral quality to it. Jasmine notes are certainly there and there’s a hint of lavender. Sweet fruits such as apples and peaches with a lightly sweet malt flavor.
M: Quite light in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: Nice and easy to drink, great for the summer time. Not sure how it might be holding up these days.
3.7Hot booze spice aroma. Medium to thin body. Smooth malty wheat flavors. Good not great saison...
4.122 oz capped bottle, sampled July 2nd, 2011, ~2 years old: pours crystal clear straw with a thin, starchy white head (quickly diminishing). Fruity, bubble-gummy, and effervescent aroma...nice, but not funky enough for my saison tastes...Palate is moist, fruity and sweet...not quite as dry as I would prefer, but the moist-ness works well with this beer. The carbonation is lively and tingles - perfect for my tongue! Linger peach aftertaste, leaves me wanting for more...
3.822 oz bottle-thanks dmac for sharing-pours a retining foamy white head with trailing lace and cloudy straw color. Aorma is lemon, grassy, hay, yeast. Taste is lemon/grassy/spice hops, hay/light malt, yeast.
3.822oz bomber. Gold pour. Grainy malty estery aroma with subtle acidity. Flavor is nice. Grainy but smooth pilsener malts with spicy notes and hints of tropical fruit. Mild acidity. Malty balanced estery finish. Very nice.
3.5Bomber from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Bright golden with a frail white head (Champagne-like).
Aroma: A lot of yeast and bread dough, certainly peachy, fruity, some pleasant floral notes, honey-like sweetness, some playful esters, biscuit, hints of herbal green notes, some spiciness and alcohol, a ”churched up” Belgian Ale...pretty good.
Palate: Medium body, elegant effervescence, smooth.
Flav.: Biscuit, yeast, bread dough, coriander, floral notes, sweet fruity notes, certainly some peach/apricot, almost candy-like (Fuzzy Peaches), playful esters, a touch spicy, a bit of green hops, more biscuit, honey, soft, approachable malts with some decoration; sweet with sufficient bitterness and brightness for balance, a warm, alcoholic finish with pleasant fruity malts and flowers.
As I read over my notes, I’m suspecting power of suggestion maybe have had an impact. Nevertheless, tasty beer.
3.4Cloudy yellow color. Belgian yeast. Light sweet with wheat and coriander. Sweet finish, but alcohol is a little too high, which is to be expected from Avery.
3.622oz bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color. Aroma of citrus, nutmeg, pepper, peach and floral. Flavor is peach, orange, spice, lavender. Nice and easy drinking, but nothing spectacular. With that said, it is good.
3.722 oz bomber from Jonathan Ron shared at jcwattsrugger’s. Poured an ugly greenish-yellow with an average to large fizzy white head. Aroma of cloves, green bananas, pepper and wet bread. Nice palate with a medium body and just slightly srong carbonation. Fruity flavor along with yeast, bread, cloves, corriander and white pepper. This is rather good for a saison which is one of my least favorite styles.
3.9Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow-orange appearance with a white head. Floral, yeasty, wild Belgian ale nose. Floral, mildly hoppy, somewhat wheaty, yeasty, citrusy, wild Belgian ale flavor. Yeasty, sweet, light fruity finish. A more floral flavor than most saisons but is done quite well.
2.822oz bottle. Slght hazy, orange color. Sparkling wine appearance, big fizzy bubbles, white foam of large bubbles. Aroma of fermented honey, some white tree fruit, mostly yeast. Flavor has a touch of fruit, honey, and bread; all very distant. Over aged, still drinkable, but 2 years old.
3.0Bottle shared by Dmac. Pours cloudy yellow. White head. Nose of yeast, banana, peach and honey. Taste of lemongrass, honey, yeast and peach. Alcohol noticeable.
3.8Bomber purchased almost two years ago at South Bay Drugs ($7.99). Pours a murky yellow-amber with a couple fingers of very active foam that soon dissipates. Aroma of Belgian yeast, lemon, cherry, phenols, and a hint of funk (cheese). Flavor of honey, light caramel, and fruit (peach - yes, and also some light grape and lemon). Good flavor with a nice level of sweetness, but there’s a small late Band Aid phenolic flavor that is not pleasant. Prickly carbonation and a semi-dry finish. A different kind of saison, but one that I generally liked except for the phenolic presence. (309, 480)
3.722 oz. bottle from All Things Wine in Renton. This was bottled in May ’09, so it’s had almost two years to sit around. Let’s see if this has had the effect(s) I’m expecting. Hazy orange/yellow appearance. This has a nice and fluffy head. Things are lookin’ good, my friends. I’m smellin’ lemon, grass, wheat, and yeast. It’s not the most pleasing aroma, but it certainly is pungent. This beer has a strong yeast aroma. There’s a bit of a hop aroma still in this, but it’s almost completely gone. Wow, it’s a lot fruitier than expected. It has a nice subtle grass flavor. A bit of wheat and hop are there, as well. The main thing that I notice is a pear flavor, most likely coming from the yeast, in some awkward way. I’m not getting any of that jasmine, but I can see how honey was used because there is a nice sweetness in this. Not overly fizzy, as some Saisons can be; I’m sure its mellowed out after nearly two years. This is a solid Saison, but it verges on the margin of being a Tripel. As to why a lot of Saisons do this is beyond me.
3.5Copying notes here, do not remember this one well enough to give written description
3.7Light and fruity aroma with a bit of clove and banana. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that diminishes but leaves a covering throughout. The flavor has a nice bit of fruity sweetness to it followed by a spicy, peppery taste. The carbonation is just right giving it a lively feel. Well done.
3.9Hazy, glowing, golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, flowers, citrus, mint and bananas. Taste is sweet, floral, and yeasty with spices. Medium bodied, smooth and refreshing, and softly carbonated. Nice saison.
4.1Hazy and golden; this gorgeous beer has bright white effervescence that quickly settles into a pale ring. A gentle floral jasmine aroma carries honey, cooked sugars and sweet citrus notes, belgian all the way. And now with the addition of the two gnats that have decided to jump in, I shall continue as if nothing happened. Medium bodied (read: don’t let it warm too much), I would call it just dry enough, a touch of honey and tangerine sweetness just lingers. I swirl in the yeast for the last 4-6 oz pour. I taste mild black peppery notes and a bit of aspirin bitterness. A gorgeous saison on the dryer, biscuity side; it’s a true treat on a 73 degree winter evening.
3.7This fits the style exactly. No off flavors. Just like a Black lager should be.
Gets better as it comes up to room temp. Very clean.
3.2Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Spicy and floral Belgian yeast aroma. Medium-heavy on the palate with some grainy notes. Noticeable alcohol is present.
3.2Pours a clear golden color with a white foam head and lots of life. Has an aroma of honey and clove with hints of lemon zest. Has a sweet clove taste with some lemon zest on the finish. Smoth but tasty. More yeasty, and lacking the funk of a traditional saison.
