Aviator HogWild IPA

Aviator HogWild IPA

Our IPA uses Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, and is further dry hopped with Magnum and Willamette. 2-Row Pale, Vienna and Crystal malts balance nicely, resulting in a bright, citrus forward flavor.

4.2 Can from Crafted in Haymarket Aroma: citrus, caramel, pine Appearance: golden with a white head Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, Palate: medium body, sticky, average carbonation, bitter finish Tasty
3.6 Poured from can a Orange gold with thick white head and lace. Bits of white sediment floating but it was clear. Aroma was carmel malts with pine hops. Taste was opposite with a fairly strong bitter bite in finish.
3.4 12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Mostly clear golden orange with a finger of off-white head. Tiny bits of floating sediment throughout. Aromas of malt, floral, citrus. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, bitter floral, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish.
3.1 Can. Aroma and tongue is Vienna malt and herbal, pine, spicy hop. Super bitter with a lingering but on the tongue. I’m usually pro bitter, but I really wasn’t digging it. No citrus whatsoever in this one. Just not my flavor profile.
3.8 Classic west coast hop aroma. Lots of pine, resin, orange, grapefruit and earthy notes. Taste follows with bitter orange peel, pine resin, earthy hop notes and grapefruit aftertaste. Medium body with smooth carbonation. Overall it’s a really classic, well made IPA. Bitter, hoppy and tasty.
4.0 Can from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666. Golden-orange, hazy, medium off-white head, lacing. Tropical mixed with meadow floral aromas, dominantly hoppy, aromatic. Fine bitterness in the beginning, flavors develop, then bitter again. Lasting finish, carbonation medium to high, full body. A classic example of the style, interesting, but not to innovative.
3.9 Can 0,355L. Courtesy of Gregor. Cloudy orange color with large, frothy, white head. Nice, strong aroma of pine, grass and herbal hops, a bit of tangerine, too. Light bitter and fruity start turns into heavy bitter hoppy end. Taste is very close to some barley wine beers. Medium, body, oily texture, soft carbonation...
1.7 Can. Pour is clear light orange with a big head. Smell is somewhat candy coated IPA perfume. Now head is craggy. First taste is of course ubiquitous big hp impact. Bitter till the end and then some after a half hour. Yes, ruin my taste buds will yah aviator mahfah. Not impressed with this beer since its terribly on style. Whewwie. Who squirted handsoap into my beer?
3.2 Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Nose is malty with herbal notes and some breadiness. Taste is moderate bitterness. Lively carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Astringent grapefruit pith on the finish. Decent IPA.
3.2 3/5/16. 12oz can from World of Beer - Destin. Amber orange pour with a small khaki head. Okay aroma, citrus forward, some pine, plenty of malt backbone and caramel. Okay flavor, too malty, caramel, doughy, floral and citrus. Eh.
3.2 Can 355 ml from Pivoteka, shared with JFK10000.Pours deep yellow with large off-white head. Light to moderate hops, pine, fruit in aroma. Sweetish, caramel malty. Medium bodied, bitterish finish.
3.5 12 fl.oz can. Pours almost clear orange golden colour with a huge most good lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of mild bitter hops, zest, peaches. Taste of intense bitter hops, zest, grapefruit, peach, long bitter finish.
3.2 355ml can. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Slightly sugary, caramel malty and citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of orange, mandarine, candied orange zest. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, slightly zesty citrusy, notes of orange, orange zest, a minimally chalky touch. OK.
3.8 Very complex aroma, strongly hopped. Nice light amber/red color, clear liquid, with a thick frothy and yeasty head. Heavy bittery taste. Full body, good texture, lively carbonation, bittery long finish.
3.3 Very hoppy at the beginning but then fades off a little bit very dry But no aftertaste
3.3 Can 0.33l from Stella Beer shop in Medulin, Cro. Cloudy dirty orange liquid with big yellowish head. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Herby taste and aroma with a hint of honey.
3.2 Hazy to cloudy orange color, small white head. Aroma is some weird herb. Taste begins with hops, continues with gas. Lively carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Bitter finish. //stellabeer2go
3.2 In a can. Solid IPA, but not the best after taste....will try on tap at Brewery........
4.5 Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The aroma is a nice blend of pine, citrus, malt and yeasty bread. The color is a murky bright orange with a large white head. The flavor is big on hops and is very refreshing with a nice aftertaste bite. An excellent beer in my humble opinion.
3.3 Aroma was good at first. Grassy type hops. Flavor was bitter, lacked the back bone to Stan behind it. 6 pack cans from Holmes
3.1 Hazy yellow/brown color, big creamy white head. Awesome retention. Aroma of citrus, herbs, malts. Taste is similar, very citrusy, not too bitter, maybe even too sweet. OK, but nothing special. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.3 Hazy amber body with thick foam head. Pleasant hop aroma with pine scents most notable. Taste is similar with some citrus flavors, but mostly peppery pine. Nice biting bitter finish.
3.5 Can at Pivoteka. Murky orange body with a big, lasting white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, citrus, herbal, slightly malty, only a touch soapy, but otherwise fine. Lean, fresh, dry citric burst of hoppiness in the taste, good bitterness. Just the occasional yeasty/plastic note keeps it from a higher rating. Enjoyed it quite a bit, except when the yeast kicked in.
3.5 Can. Cloudy golden orange body with white head. Aroma is fruity with pines some malts and citrus. Taste is malts with pines and hints of herbs. Aftertaste is nice bitterness with some malty sweetness. Nice one.
3.6 355ml can from Total Wine, Tampa.
3.2 Canned 355ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Hazy orange coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, malt and alcohol in the nose. Sweet and almost sticky malty, fruity, caramel and alcohol with slight citrusy hoppy notes. Rather dry finish. Not so fresh I think.
3.4 We drank straight from the can at a party. Aromas of light malt some pine, a decent amount of citrus and some light caramel. Flavors were very citrus forward not over lowing just enough with some light bitterness in the aftertaste. Did not seem like 6.7% ABV. I was thinking it was a session IPA while drinking.
