3.82021 Bottle in the garden, BB March 22, not sure if it makes a difference with the style, any way, 14th June 22. Pours clear and light golden. Aroma is floral, light malts. Taste is sweetish, hay, honey, floral, soft, yeast, bread and malts. Pretty nice for this evening sun.
3.2Bottle. Golden color. Malt and a hint of apple in the aroma. Sweetish flavor with floral hops and a hint of apple. Earthy bitter finish.
3.1Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet malts with a touch of bread, some syrupy notes with ripe fruits. Sweet flavour with a light bitterness and a hint of alcohol in the finish. Medium body. Good enough but still a style that quickly gets too sickly sweet for my taste.
3.750 cl bottle.
Dark golden color, clear, some particles, thick white head, fading. Tastes super malty wit lots of syrup, honey and dried fruit, some floral tones and grass.
Thick body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Finish is mildly alcoholic, fairly perfumed, sticky, long malty finish.
3.5Aroma: bread, toast, some sugar candy, grassy hop, some floral hop.
Appearance: clear golden-orange color with a white small head.
Taste: bread, toast, grassy hop, some floral hop, some candy sugar at last, medium-high sweetness, medium bitterness. bittersweet finish.
Palate: syrupy texture, medium-low carbonation, soft dryness, mild booziness.
Overall: straightforward and uncomplicated, the flavor is dominated by maltiness and grassy hop and can be thought of as an amplified Märzen. It starts out special and enjoyable but gets boring and kind of cloying when you drink more.
4.40,5l bottle. Clear golden colour with medium lasting white head. Aroma: Caramel, hay and flourish notes. Taste: Full and sweet malty start with some dried fuit, candy sugar, honey taste and with a decent fresh hoppy mouthfeel. Has a buttery texture. Medium body with medium carbonation. Medium lasting gently sweet/bitter finish.
3.9Golden with a small head.Smooth sweet flavour and inviting clear appearance.Uncomplicated and a good example of this style.
3.5Oljenkeltainen lasissa paksuhkolla vaahdolla. Tuoksussa on viljaista mallasta, ruohoa ja humalaa. Suutuntuma antaa vaikutelman kohtalaisen helposta juotavuudesta. Mausta löytyy makeaa mallasta, hunajaa ja ruohomaisuutta. Lopuksi tasapainottava humalan puraisu.
3.5Bottle at Hopa. Semi opaque pale golden pour with a white head. Nose is hay and honey with some bready notes. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma: sweet malts, mainly honey and hay with some faint grassy notes. It's on the verge of being overly sweet but manages to avoid it. Closes with a sweet finish, has a medium to high-medium body and soft carbonation.
4.0Złociste klarowne piwo z niezłą pianą. Delikatny aromat zboża, słodu i kwiatów. Smak lekko słodowy, delikatne nuty trawy, łąki. Najlepszy jasny bock jak piłem
1.7Bottle. Excessively difficult to nail a decent maibock and in this case even the best may fail. Grain, cookies, light honey, light grassy hops, light fruity (apricot). Annoyingly sweet, finishing equally annoying with a light astringent note of booze, underlining said sweetness. Tiresome.
3.5Nalewa się złote, klarowne, ładna, obfita, zbita piana.
W zapachu skórka od jasnego chleba, lekko armoty chmielowe, idące w kwiatowość, trochę miodowej słodyczy.
W smaku słodko, miodowo, miąższ jasnego chleba do teog lekko ziołowo-kwaitowe.
Aromat i smak słodowy z nutką chmielu. Goryczka niska.
In keiner Phase merkt man etwas vom relativ hohen Alkoholgehalt - keine Alkoholnote, keine Spritigkeit - Respekt!
3.4Bottle from Cornelius. Clear golden. Nose is sweet cereal malty, biscuit, honey. Tastes honey sweetish, cereal, bready malts, light bitterness, warming alcohol.
3.3Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Golden pour with good head that goes over time. Some floral notes, loads of bready malt, sweet finish, alcohol noticeable. Decent.
3.8Clear golden colour, white foam. Nose of toast, a bit bready, sweet hints of honey. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter finish. Good Heller Bock.
3.5Bottle. Pours a yellow golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak bready aroma. Sweetish malty grainy bready flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy bready finish.
4.1Goldenbock, on tap at BeerNV. Wonderful malt notes, and perfectly complimnetary floral notes. If only every bock was like this.
3.5Tulip at Edelweiss. Pours a clear, golden color, with a small, white head that leaves lots of lacing. The nose is butterscotch, cloves, spruce, and dust. Sweet and sugary, with a light, noble hop bitterness. Medium body, with a smooth, syrupy feel. This is a quality and delicious bock.
3.8500ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Sweet, malty, sugary, very mild hops, rich palate in aroma/taste.
3.7Bottle, 50 cl, SB. Pleasant Bock: moderately strong impression, sweet accents, full taste. Went well with a curry dish, but probably to lots of dishes.
3.6Gold with a thin white head. Big fruity and malty head. Full mouth full taste with malt screaming I'm here. Pleasant finish. Hops keep this from getting too sweet.
3.4Bottle @ home. Pours golden with a lasting white head. Aroma is malty and very sweet with grass, warming booze, honey, pears, light intense caramel. Taste starts very sweet with an almost balancing peppery bitterness increasing. Notes of honey, malt, banana , pears, grass, white peppers.
4.6Draft at Bier Garden. What!? I've never entered notes on this classic!?
How dare I? This is textbook stuff ... viscous, sugary and boozy, yet light in character. Golden, slick, delicious. (#7759, 8/2020)
