Ayinger Urweisse

Ayinger Urweisse

“The union of wheaty freshness and dark malt often produces a fullness of taste and complexity”, explains the world-famous English beer commentator Michael Jackson.
This also applies to the Ayinger Urweisse, which is a strong amber-colored, yeast cloudy wheat beer. The beer is strong with the first taste and malty in aroma. The top-fermented, yeasty taste sensation is unmistakable. This beer is rich in sparkle and has just a touch of a special bitter quality. The fruity, malty mild aroma will have you won you over immediately! 13.3°

Taste is of banana, wheat, sweet malts, spices, little peppery, fruity yeast, caramel malts and toasted malts …. Soft, creamy, smooth mouthfeel ….finish has a light bitter, spicy bite along with fruity yeast, wheat, grains, caramel malts and light banana …. Best of this style I’ve had ….. medium bodied and an outstanding mouthfeel
4.0 bottle. Clear copper pour with a big foamy off-white head that has fantastic retention. Aroma is sweet malts, some banana, trace of allspice. The flavor is sweet banana, caramel, and a bit of apple. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long and dry with a touch of astringency. Overall: Decent--top shelf stuff.

Taste is very sweet, light bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with light carbonation. Finish is long and very sweet with notes of malt, caramel, sweet fruits, light spicy and with hints of peated malt.

5.0 La migliore
4.0 Sentore di banana molto forte. Molto gradevole. Poco alcolica in bocca
3.3 Tap @ Erlings. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma and flavour are banana, yeast, and wheat - with a slightly dry finish.
3.8 Dark amber color with white head. Banana, wheat, fruits aromas, bit of caramel. Light bitterness and sourness. Average to full body.
3.4 @ Dispensa Verace Firenze Novoli
3.7 Deep murky amber, big carbonation, thick white pillowy head. Aroma of clove banana and nutmeg. Hint of bitter dank. Skunky and spicy, good wheat and yeast flavor profile. For me the skunk notes in the aroma were hard to ignore. Clean and tasty. Medium body. Good spicy yeast flavors. Not wild about this style but Ayinger does it as well as one could hope for.
4.0 Thursday, November 18, 2021 9:08 PM 500 mL/1 Pint 0.9 ounce bottle poured to wine glass Sight: Brownish, dark amber color, small foam, appears clear Smell: aroma of malted grains Taste: very good, low bitterness, some sweetness Mouth feel: high carbonation, slightly tart, good follow through, dry finish, slightly bitter aftertaste Overall: very good beer, ok to repeat, not to look for
3.5 Aroma of malt, banana, yeast and spices. Hazy deep amber with a off-white head. Medium + sweet and medium bitter. Medium + body with average carbonation. Overall a dcent Dunkelweizen.

3.8 Murky brown color with large almost tanned head. Aroma has banana, yeast and wheat. Taste is malty sweet with long quite sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, banana, yeast, bread and wheat.
3.6 Geprobeerd op vakantie met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel oranje geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een tarwe achtige wat gistachtige geur. De smaak is vol, tarwe, banaan en abrikozen.
3.4 bottle @ beerka (budapest) orange colour, normal body, average carbonated, beige head, banana, bubblegum, caramel, some grainy notes, smooth bittersweet, easy to drink
4.3 Draft @ Ayinger Braustuberl. Murky golden/amber-ish colour, big creamy beige head. Super fluffy and creamy, sweetish but not overly, banana, apricot, light acidity - perfect balance. Huge body, superb fluffy full mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
3.7 500ml bottle, drunk at home on a windy August evening. Thickly hazy amber, plenty of head and lacing. Aromas of stewed apricots, ripe banana, honey, husky grains. In the mouth, thick frothy carbonation, rich complex flavours that follow the aromas, some softening sweetness, scarcely a sour hint into a clean mildly bitter finish. Like a Weizen with a flavour boost and what's not to like about that?
3.7 Bottle 50 cl. Cloudy brownish-amber color, very fluffy foam. Aroma: wheat, caramel, caramelized banana, a little spice and sweetness. Sweet taste, caramel and banana, ethereal, a little spicy, sparkling, a little smoked, dense body, very good.
3.8 0,5l bottle from beer shop in Rome. Drinked on 21/05/2021 BB 10.21 Pours cloudy brownish - dark orange and huge, long lasting white foam on top. Aroma of cloves, yeast, banana, wheat. Tastes very fresh with malt, wheat, caramel, banana and fruits, ripe fruit, spicy notes. Great carbonation and very nice sweet sour finish. More sour and not as sweet as the Bräuweisse they make. Fantastic taste. Medium body and smooth texture, extremely drinkable. Delicious, i'm in love with weisse beer again..
3.3 The aroma has very fruty lively nose with a lot of banana and wheat. The taste is very sweet and slightly watery with banana, wheat, orange flavours and some spicy touch. The finish is sort with some kind of bitterness. The carboration is ultra soft and that makes the beer more watery and less interesting in my opinion. Overall an ok "Dunkeweizen" but the "Weihenstaner Dunkel" and "Schneider Tap 7 Dunkel" beers are miles better. This beer remind you little the "Franziskaner weisse classic" beer but with more watery and less complexity imo.
3.8 Deutlich Nelke in Nase und Trunk. Sehr satter Geschmack, üppig Hefe, vollmundig, passt.
3.8 Zapach dosłownie jakby zmieszać piwo wędzone z pszenicznym. Goździki, słód pszeniczny, oscypek z boczkiem. W smaku z jednej strony orzeźwiające, musujące z nutami pszenicy, drożdży i goździków, a z drugiej konkretna chlebowość, wędzonka i dym. Pięknie się to wszystko komponuje. Myślę, że spokojnie można nazwać to piwo wzorcem stylu.
3.9 Bottle Aroma-banana, clove Appearance-fark amber, hazy, white head Taste-medium sweetness, light sourness Palate-medium body, sticky, lively carbonation, long finish Overall-very good
3.7 0,5 lahvové zakoupené ve frýdeckomístecké Beskydské pivotéce. Jedna z top pšenicí, kterou jsem kdy ochutnal. Opravdu úžasné pití.
2.4 Светлое пиво со слабым вкусом для меня
3.8 Bursztynowe, mętne piwo o obfitej pianie, która pozostaje do końca w formie pierścionka przy brzegu szkła. Aromat głównie banany i jakby trochę toffi. W smaku pełne bananowe, czuć goździki i trochę toffi. Goryczka niska, ale przyjemna z fajnym kwaskiem. Ogólnie fajna ciemna pszenica, bardzo w stylu i fajnie orzeźwiające.
