Bad Attitude Two Penny Porter

Bad Attitude Two Penny Porter

Our Two Penny is brewed with traditional roasted British malts and American hops (Chinook, AMarillo, Willamette). A double boiling, together with a first wort hopping, give it a rough, scruffy character that perfectly suits our modern beer-loving dockworkers.

3.5 On tap. @El Cabanón, Avilés 12/02/2015. Color negro. Espuma beige. Bastante cuerpo. Notas tostadas
3.8 Bottle from Au Grain D’Orge - Dark brown near black color, with a small but persistent beige head, good lacing - Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, earthy hops - Flavor of roasted malt, licorice, hints of chocolate - Medium/full body, medium bitterness, good carbonation, long roasted malt finish - really good, well balanced but hard to describe will try one more time soon
3.1 Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with very low carbonation resulting in a very tiny beige colored head. Roasty malts, some chocolate notes and some shampoo smell also present. Taste starts sweet, slightly roasty with some coffee notes. Medium bitterness in the finish, and some more coffee notes in the aftertaste. The taste is not that bad, though nothing special.
Bien bien...
3.7 Soongalerie, Bern. Ab 3,3dl Flasche. Wohl dunkel ;) Wow, was für ein Röstgeruch, aromatisch. Leicht zu trinken, wenig CO2, recht malzig und doch gut Bitter. Gefährlich und gut.
3.6 BOTTLE 33 CL from CH-303. Aroma of medium intensity, with some fruit, but mostly spicy phenolics. The flavour is also dry and spicy - no traditional chocolaty sweetness, with a moderate bitterness that blends well with the spice.
3.7 deep dark brown colour, huge, dense beige-ish head;aroma of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, some dried plum, ash and herbal liqueur; taste of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, herbal notes and some ash again; not bad
3.8 Poured from a 33 cl brown stubby bottle. Pours dark brown, looking black in the glass. Only a thin beige head arose despite a moderately vigorous pour, and it soon reduced to a bubbly ring. Aroma: Rich and very appealing. Features dark fruits and dark bread, with hints of toffee. Flavor: dark roasted malts; just a hint of smoke but essentially no burnt character. Less fruity than the aroma but still clear suggestions of black currants, raisins and dried plums. A touch of spicy hops in the aftertaste. Excellent sweet/bitter balance leans ever so slightly towards the sweet side. Mouthfeel: full bodied with a near creamy smooth feel and low carbonation. O: excellent, if centrist, version of the style.
4.4 Many thanks to CH-303 for this bottle! The beer starts mild-sweetish, nice roasted malty, a bit sticky. Easy to drink but deep. Nice roasted, nearly burned malt, fresh bitter hops, very smooth. The aftertaste is intense-roasty, not too sweet, hints of nuts and burned caramel. Nicely bittered, a very great round brew! 14/13/14/14
4.0 250ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a deep black color forming a big and creamy beige head when (aggressively) poured. Good retention and tons of lingering lacings left in the glass S: Very roasted in the nose. Delicious notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate. Quite bready and biscuity, smells like liquid Oreo :p. Some notes of flowery hops and light notes of alcohol T: Great taste. Strong notes of roasted malts. Light notes of dark chocolate and brown bread, Slightly sweet upfront followed by a pleasant bitterness. Interesting hoppy bitterness in the and of the roasted bitterness M: Heavy creamy body. medium to low carbonation. Smooth texture. Good quality water. roasted bitterness aftertaste O: Great drinkability. Excellent quality beer. Swiss classic. A beer that I’m gonna drink again, for sure [ BA Review @ 6/29/2013 ]
3.0 On tap at Biercab. Black colour with tan head. Chocolate aroma. Sweet, chocolate, hops and malt taste. Medium body.
4.1 "11.2 stubby - pours almost like a nitro brew. Dark, silky smooth feel. If you said this was a milk stout, I’d believe you. Suggestions of barreling in the flavor. Chocolate and coffee and a little something extra. This one really pops."

3.7 Aroma: sour cherry, plum Appearance: dark red, creamy head Taste: medium bitterness, medium sourness Palate: long finish, average body, fizzy carbonation Too carbonated, very fruity and dry, roast and coffee notes only in the aftertaste. Atypical like much every beer from Bad Attitude.
