Baird Rising Sun Pale Ale

Baird Rising Sun Pale Ale

This quenching brew is crafted in the American west-coast style. It sports a beautiful soft citrus hop aroma which gives way to a round, honeyed-fruit flavor. The finish is crisp and refreshing.

Dobre piwo!
3.3 Citrusy hop aroma. Nice balanced out bitter taste with some cookie/malt aftertaste.
3.4 Pours orange with a small head, aroma of fruits, pineapple, mango, flavor is bitter with fruits, mango, pineapple, medium bodied
3.5 Poured at Shelton Festival, hazy yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, grass, grapefruit, bitter finish, very good.
3.4 33cl bottle from Boom Bar, Pai. Thin white head. hazy golden pour. Lovely bitterness. Easy drinking.
3.6 US Pint on-tap from Goodbeer Faucets in Sibuya, Tokyo, Japan (¥900): This one was quite an enjoyable beer from Baird & about on par with the previous two from the brewery that I've tried; their Suruga Bay Imperial IPA was probably marginally better but this one was still a solid effort. The nose was a lot lighter than expected but things came through stronger with the nose with some good sweetness & tropical fruits coming through in the early going alongside touches of citrus, mango & pineapple being the most pronounced of the fruits which helped make this one of the better beers I tried while in Japan.
2.7 330 ml bottle @ Osaka Japan
3.9 Nice flavour, better than expected
3.6 Very murky copper colour. Thin head. Aroma is a little sweaty. Taste is quite sweet with loads of tropical fruits and a strong bitterness at the tail end.
3.4 Tap. Hazy deep gold, almost no head. Rather weak hoppy aroma. A slightly hop forward light taste. Light body, medium carb. Good drinkability, quite bland though.
3.7 Amber with medium creamy off white head. Slight hops aroma. Medium bitterness with medium sourness and some honey sweetness on the background.
3.5 330ml bottle. Pours hazy orange, medium sized off-white head stays. Aroma is citrussy, caramelly, some tangerine, mildly piney. Taste is sweet, caramelly, mildly hoppy, sweet pine, tangerine. Medium bodied, over average carbo. Sweet APA, well drinkable, not bad.
3.6 Pours a very hazy orange with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma consists of grapefruit, floral hops, orange, and caramel. Pretty good, although is a little on the subtle side. The taste is dry and slightly bitter. I find that grapefruit stands out here, with compliments of pine, honey, floral hops, bread, mild herbal hops, and hints of biscuit. The aftertaste is a short grapefruit. Medium in body, with a smooth texture, and about average in carbonation. I liked this.
3.2 Grain and cereal malts, bread and caramel, light floral hops, a hint of grapefruit. Hazy gold, small, frothy, white head. Light bitter. Malty sweetness coming up quickly, sweet grain, caramel, more floral bitterness, lively carbonation, medium bodied, bitter finish. Quite a malty APA, then again I did not have the freshest bottle. Bottle from Beer Merchants, Larkfield.
3.3 On tap in Brixton Craft on 22nd Jan 2017. Golden orange pour, white head. Citrus fruit leanings in both the nose and taste, semi-sweet mango like flavours: overall not bad at all.
3.5 Bottle at home. Pours clear golden colour with a white head. Citrus hop aroma. Semi sweet citrus taste. Refreshing.
4.0 Thoroughly and pleasantly surprised. Great hop aroma and flavor to match. Slight sweetness and easy to drink. Dry finish and a good looking copper color.
3.4 330ml bottle from Beer Merchants. Murky orange colour with a lot of sediment, dense frothy head. Aroma: citrus, tropical fruit, grapefruit, malt. Taste: fruity, malt, finishes bitter and dry. Medium body and carbonation, watery-oily texture.
3.2 Bottle. Juicy, meaty citrus aroma, light resin and grass, some lychee. Light, crisp flavour, unfortunately overcarbonated.
3.4 Mango fruity hops, resin too. Some tea and toasty malts, nice smooth fermentation. Taste is simpler, as is the quite heavy body. Started so nice. But disappointing really in the end. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
3.4 Light bodied and fairly subtle in the hops - grapefruit and some floral and grassy notes. A little caramel, bread in the malt. Good for a summer session.
3.5 Bottle at Brewdog. Pours deep gold, foamy head. Aroma of hops and grapefruit. Initial taste slightly sour, opens up into a dry, crisp quite fruity quencher. Nice, but I bet it’s better on draught.
4.3 Taps hazy dark amber with a thick and persistent fine-bubbled pale buff head. Aroma delivers notes of pear, Apple and fresh malt. Flavor features malt, fruity and woody hops notes for a refreshing brew. Mouthfeel offers firm body, good fizz, and a bread finish. One for the Axis - and next, one for the Allies.
3.0 Keg at the hanging bat. Pours hazy golden orange, nose is floral, light orange, taste is sweet, dry toffee.
3.5 Draught at BGM 4 Aroma-fruits, citrus Appearance-golden, hazy, huge white foam, Taste-light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, Palate-medium body, slick feel, average carbonation, long finish, Overall-very good
3.5 Nebuloso color biondo-arancio, al naso e al palato miele, fiori, pesca, un delicato tocco acidulo e luppolato. Molto fresca, poco amara, un po’ acquosa ma non scipita. Piacevole!
3.4 On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Hazy orange with off-white head. Fruity aroma with notes of ripe tangerines, some tropical fruits, pale malt and hints of caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with nice fruity flavours and a pleasant bitterness. More body than expected and surprisingly tasty and balanced. Nice one.
3.1 Pours a murky, almost brown color. The head is white, dense and thick. The aroma and flavor are organic malt with a fruity bitterneas. Cool, thin palate.
3.1 Bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen on 17 Oct 2015. Pours hazy orange brown with a white head. Aroma of pine. Bitter finish.
