Baladin NazionAle

Baladin NazionAle

The first 100% Italian beer made with Italian ingredients. An intentionally simple beer: Italian water, barley malt, hops, yeasts and two Italian spices (bergamot and coriander) which combine to create harmony and originality. A beer which suggests more or less daring combinations, but more importantly marks a turning point in the Italian production of craft beer. Nazionale, is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with any dish. 13.6° EBC 10

4.0 Storica birra Nazionale firmata Baladin, speziata, agrumata, molto ben equilibrata. Ottima birra italiana!
4.1 Pours dirty golden with almost no head over quiet texture. On top, citrus leaves and floral notes over a bed of malt, bread and biscuits. First sip is strong on orange and lemon zest with pepper and cloves coming right behind. Also, cereals appear during the drink with a honey hint. Mouthfeel is thin, astringent and fizzy with a delicate yet rich hit. Body is full with a high carbonated sensation. Finish is very clean and sweet with a herbal/spicy aftertaste.
3.5 Aroma; scents of spiced sweet malts, herbal hops, floral yeast, coriander, clove, sweet herbs. Look; off white head on a foggy golden body. Taste; flavours of spiced sweet malts, herbal hops, apricots, nectarines, mandarines, floral yeast, coriander, clove, sweet herbs, somewhat malted finish with spices. Feel; good body and okay co². Overall; nice belgian spiced style. [bottle flacon, friday vorspiel before beerflag coup de tap, 2021-5-28, t@home by PivotekaH7]
5.0 molto buona
3.7 375 ml. bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of straw, bergamot, coriander and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, bergamot, light coriander and light fruitiness with a crisp dry lingering spiced finish.
3.4 0,7 litre Bottle, from Billund AirPort. Golden with white head. Malts, hops, yeast, corriander, spices, sweetness.
3.5 19-12-2020; bottle; at home (bought at an unknown location). The beer looks good. Pale yellow colour, nice haziness and on top a nice layer of rough white foam. Foam retention is low. A minimal drape is lef on the beer. The aroma of the beer is nice. There is a nice malty aromas, some grainy notes and a touch of hey. Hops are nice and herbal, with some spicy and zesty notes. The bergamot gives nice lemon. The coriander gives nice spicy notes. Yeast gives some barnyard and some nice spicy notes. Nice. The taste of the beer is good. Nice sweet malts and some sweet fruity notes, bitter hops, nice tart yeast. At the beginning it seemed a little bit too sour, but after some time it gets more balanced. All in all, a nicely flavored beer. The palate of the beer is fine. Medium body, slightly sticky texture, medium carbonation. The finish of the beer in nice. It has a nice barnyard note, together with nice fruity hops. It ends in a nicely bitter finale. All in all, definitively a nice beer.

3.3 330ml bottle into glass. Italian restaurant in Yamba. Cloudy amber beer with a foamy white head. High fine carbonation. Nose of sour grain and lemon. Full bodied, nice effervescence. Easy-drinking but also complex. Nice creamy texture, finish is citric and grainy. Nice unusual ale.
3.5 Dégusté à La Piste, à Rennes. Fines bulles, belle couleur dorée, douce et peu amère. Subtile retombée en gorge.

3.4 Fles 33cl bij Grand Café De Tijd in Den Haag. Oranjebloesem, citrustonen, wat peer, bergamot, zacht, licht kruidig, geel fruit, licht fizzy. (3-7-2020).
3.4 Pale yellow. Banana, white pepper. Classic wheat, a bit sweet and bland. Not my cup of tea, but allright within it’s style.
3.0 Optisch Gold, leicht trüb. In Nase und Trunk sehr blumig, typisch belgisch, tartig trocken, kurz alkoholisch, nix zum reinlassen, komplex. Gushing.

3.6 Notes: $2 bargain bin 330mL bottle from Craft Cartel. BB Aug/19, drank 4/8/19. Overall: Lovely Belgian surprise as I thought it would be a macro lager. 15 A: Opaque dark orange body, white head. 3 A Apricot 7 T: Belgian yeast, light stone fruit, spices. High sweetness (especially towards the end), low bitterness, drier/crisper finish. 8 P: Average body and carbonation. 3
3.3 As advertised: relatively uncomplicated, but well balanced and good. Not that intense in the spice aromas. Goes down well.
3.4 (Keg at Bierhaus Berlin, Helsinki, 20191205) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, perfume and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spiciness, perfume, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, fruity and bitter. A decent pale ale with Belgian twist.
4.0 (Having mine as Birra Nazionale.) Golden hazy with a frothy but fast dissipating head. Smell of grain with orange peels. Smooth bittersweet taste with higher carbonation. Bitter, citric aftertaste. In my ignorance I always thought Italians couldn't brew a decent beer. This one is clearly more than decent.
3.7 Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours hazy golden with a medium-sized white head. The aroma features floral hoppiness and citrusy fruitiness with a touch of grain and yeast; fresh. Taste is light to medium sweet initially, drying towards finish. Initially sweetish grainy maltiness, later yeasty and fruity; citrus fruits and barnyard. Moderately tart, light bitter in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and soft, low to average carbonation. Refeshing and drinkable.
2.5 Goud geel kleurend bier met een kleine witte schuimkraag. Het bier is fruitig zoet met een mooie granige smaak. Daarnaast op het einde een klein hop bittertje en iets kruidige koriander.
