Balashi

Balashi

The beer has a deep golden color totally clear and transparent, with a bitterness which is soft to the tongue and nose however with an aroma of fresh hops, a short aftertaste and easy on foam. The combination of all feels fresh and smooth to the mouth when cold, perfect for Aruba's hot climate.

1.8 Can sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks troubles. Yellow. Corn, graininess, grape juice, sweetish, slightly bitterish finish, light-bodied.

2.4 Not bad compared to it’s American counterparts. Aroma was light and malty. A little bit of skunk. Pour was a medium gold with a big two finger white head. Taste was unusually malty for a Caribbean brewed pale lager. A light caramel flavor with a light crisp but bland finish. Good carbonation. Better than I was expecting.
3.4 Drank straight from the small green (220 ml) bottle. Tastes like an American lager. No Euro-skunk nose or flavor. Clean, crisp and simple. Good on a hot beach day.
1.4 Bottle. Pours pale gold with white head and pale malt in the nose, mild hops, thiols. Tastes watery, with hops, pale malt, mild sulfur. Forgettable.

2.2 THT Februari 2018. Mini can, like a half 33 can. Clear pale straw and white head. Sweet and dry malts, grain, cardboard, old pils hops and bitterness. Thin body and average carbonation.
1.8 Probably as neutral a beer as there is. Clear gold pour, fast fading head, no lace. Husky grainy aroma and taste, a bit of corn, lighter body, kinda sweet aftertaste. Would appreciate having a few dozen of these in 50 degree Celsius weather.
2.8 220ml bottle pours a clear golden colour with a finger of white head that settles to leave only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and grainy. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a light malty sweetness. Light grainy mouth feel. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. A typical brew for the style.
1.3 Well, I did drink it when it was hot, but it is no different than any other international lager (maybe even below the average). I would not buy it if I had any other choice. Skunk is strong in this one ;)
2.5 Green 22cl bottle. Not skunky surprisingly. Nose is fairly neutral with a grainy character. Taste is a little weird. Maybe some skunky flavors but not overwhelming. Just a grainy bitterness and modest carbonation. Fairly neutral. Could use a lime
1.4 Спасибо моему другу из Уругвая за это пиво! Вполне приятное на вкус- стандартный карибский лагер

2.2 Pours clear yellow golden, topped with small white head. Grainy nose, corn and slight chalk. Sweet malty start, a hint of bitterness in the finish. Short aftertaste. Light body. fresh and sparkly feel. Wouldn’t be half bad in Aruba’s heat.

2.1 Many a bottle on the island. A bit too malty for my taste, but good color and finish. Great go to when in Aruba and dealing with the limited options of imports and wanting to drink local.
2.4 Bottled - intensive tasting - about 20 samplings taken. Golden color, creamy head with with medium duration. Grass nose. Aroma is grass, straw, malt and mild hops. Ends with a medium dry grassy-hoppy finish.

2.4 236 ml can. Got it from a friend. Incredibly clear and no head. Not good looking. Grass yeasty smell, taste much better than expected, a little creamy texture, weird for this characteristics, soft hoppy ending, refreshing.
