3.6 Nice hazy look with lots of hops and some strength in nose and taste. Palate is longlasting and also with hoppy bitterness.
3.5 Clear orange color with off-white head. Aroma is really malty with some biscuits and candied orange notes. Taste starts bitter upfront with some sweet malt in the background. The hops are mostly orange and pine forward. Medium to light body, medium carbonation. Overall it’s a decent west coast, really classic DIPA.
3.5 Rami Rami is drinking a Dorado Double IPA by Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits at Saska Kępa Ziolowo maloowocowe, sporo slodowosci, juz lekko utlenione, niezle niezle
3.7 On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A medium amber beer with faint hop and malt nose. Slightly sweet, moderately hopped, some background malts. Not to my mind a great beer, but a very nice one, and the niceness is in the delicate balance of hops and malts. 3.7
3.8 Piana bardzo ładna, piwo o złocistej barwie, klarowne. W zapachu żywiczno ziołowe. To samo w smaku, poza tym trochę karmeli. Alkohol schowany pięknie.
3.2 Bottle to tulip. Good aroma of grapefruit and hops, very nice initial taste of citrus, malt, fruit, hops and alcohol. Unfortunately this is followed by a burst of lingering dry mouth bitterness, which seems common to many left-coasters. But for that, it is a well made brew that I will avoid in future.
3.6 Bottle, bb in the bottom is not decipharable (from beergium). Pours amber with whiteish head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, spicy, caramelly, citrusy. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, oranges, pine, caramel. Finish is pine bitter with some noticeable booze. Body is on the thinner side. Overall: I quite like it. What’s with americans and BB-s?! You can print some crap under the bottle, but not readable bottling date or BB?! Point removed from the overall.
3.6 Cooper, clear with moderate, white, frothy head. Very hoppy, very classic, based on resinous and citrus hops. Not really aromatic. Decent malty backbone. Not my favorite interpretation of style.
3.7 From notes. 0,355l bottle at Harry’s, Jyväskylä. Aroma of malts, pine and resin, fruitiness, caramel. Malty sweet taste, quite bitter. and bitter aftertaste.
4.0 Bottle at House of Belgium, Xiamen. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine with grain. Sweet taste with an intense bitter finish.
4.4 Awesome on draft as well as on bottle. Really nice aroma, flavor and finish.
3.9 Pours golden, almost deep golden with foamy white head. Aroma: biscuit, toffee like malt notes and intense hop notes which takes on citruses, especially lemon and grapefruits. Flavor is very similar, with intense, both malt and hop flavors. Malt sweetness is present, actually too much, to be a (for my point of view) world-class Dipa. Body is mediuum, texture silky, carbonation is medium.
3.4 Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phloen Chit. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is boozy alcohol light citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a crisp, fresh fruity alcohol bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A fine beer but the alcohol is right in your face and hides the real flavours in the beer.
3.3 Aroma is sweet fruit and booze. Sharp sweetness in the start finishes medium bitter, slight booze burn.
4.1 Golden rich coloured beer, small head, lots of grassy flavour. Really oily and creamy at the same time, great mouthfeel. Huge beer, dry and delicious.
3.9 Tap at Butcher and boar with commonmac. Light copper with thick white head and good lacing. Nice hop aroma, resin. Classic hop taste, a bit oily. A well done ipa.
4.1 Bomber pours a clear copper with a one finger eggshell head and great lacing. Aroma is a wonderful sweet fruit and light hop with a small amount of catpiss. Flavor is very interesting, sharp sweet fruit up front, alcohol in the middle, nice mild to medium bitterness on the finish, malty aftertaste. Really good.
3.8 Bottle pour at Vesta in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is mild citrus, mild pine resin, malts. Taste is mild pine marmalade with some citrus peels. Great malty backbone and not overwhelmingly hoppy. A very drinkable IIPA.
3.7 Sample at Strong Ale Fest 2016. Comes a hazy golden red with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus and fruit. Taste is grapefruit, fruit, and malt. 10% comes through a bit. Pretty good.
4.2 On tap, Sharkey’s Radford. Dark amber, hazy, good head for the abv. Complex, fruity taste, great body, refreshing bitter aftertaste. One of the better beers I’ve had in a while.
3.9 355 bottle at Ostindiska Ölkompaniet, Göteborg. Hazy amber with white head. Hoppy fruity with grapefruit, caramel, zest, alcohol and caramel. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.5 A sweet Imperial IPA that is very enjoyable. It is incredibly sweet and boozy. Malt forward and very enjoyable.
3.8 355ml bottle. Pours gold with a nice head. Aroma is sweet caramel and bitter apple. Taste is strong caramel, big peach and apple. Bitterness and sweetness are both huge, but quite nicely balanced. Quite thick and oily. Nice.
3.5 Brown American bottle. Pours medium dark imperial amber, hazy, lightly opaque. Medium white foam subsiding average. Scent is medium early hops and not much else. Taste is medium imperial yeast, little bit musty. Earthy. Resin. Finish is smooth and clean. Cookie cutter. Very good.
3.8 Bottle: Poured golden with white head. Aroma is nice hops. Taste is malty balanced by sharp bitter hops.
2.4 A lot of vegetative hop character, without much enticing hop aromatics. Wort-like malt profile. Just not very complex or interesting.
3.8 No lacing and little head. Brown color with orange hue. Floral aroma. Sits easily on the tongue. Sweet start with hoppy finish and lingering bitterness. Solid DIPA.
4.2 I do not ordinarily drink a double India pale ale because I simply do not care for the high alcohol or extreme hops bitterness. This beer is drinkable although I would only have her have one in a night. I think this beer is great for sipping it's very tasty
3.0 Bottle - Dry on the palate, feels "thick" as well. Not as much bitterness on this imperial IPA as I would have expected. Nothing that sticks out to me in terms of flavor on this beer but to my untrained palate I do get some fruit flavors. Decent beer.
