Lager meets IPA in a winning combination.

Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

3.2 It’s refreshing to drink a lager with something more going on than the basic water and cereal malt going on. The hop does indeed add another layer to it, but overall it didn’t feel too impressive. Some lemon grass and just plain grass in the aromas. The finish falls a bit short.
3.4 Bomber poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, citrus and earthiness with a smooth dry lightly bitter lingering earthy finish.
2.5 On tap at Ballast Point Miramar. Pale yellow no head. Faint aroma of hay and honey. Taste is sweet and not unlike a German helles. Finish is quick and more of the same. Not a great beer and actually a bit disappointing.
2.8 Large Format - Golden orange color, very little head that dissipated really quickly. Slight sweet flavor but with a little bitterness, neither of which over powers the other flavor. The mix of styles leads to a weird taste, just a little to sweet for me.
4.7 This is my preferred go to if I can’t make up my mind or do not feel adventurous.
4.0 Tasting session @ Budapest Gold color, almost clear. Big white head. Lots of lacing. Not much aroma. Tastes like a hoppy Pilsner. OK.
