Ballast Point Grunion Pale Ale

Ballast Point Grunion Pale Ale

Our Grunion Pale Ale wasn’t born on a beach, but in a backyard. Originating from an employee-only home brew contest, this award-winning hoppy pale ale is named after the tiny local fish known for late night frolics on shore. A pair of new hop varieties lend strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, while a soft caramel malt sweetness holds it all together.

2.5 Besk
3.9 Lätt fruktig med medel beska.
3.6 Karmel, grejpfrut, sosna. Klasycznie po amerykańsku. Nic nie przeszkadza, ciało obfite. Jest fajnie.
3.4 Can 355 ml enjoyed at P & C's cottage in Lillhärdal. Enjoyed straight from the can. Hoppy with tropical fruit, citrus and caramel.
3.6 Dåse. Orange klar øl med et fint skumhoved. Duften er citrus let grape old school pale ale. Smagen er frisk bitter, igen let grape, igen old school. Fin øl.
3.5 Gyllengul klar vätska med tjockt och fluffigt skum. Dofter av krusbär, citrus.
2.8 Gyllengul vätska. Härlig fruktig doft. Humlig, besk, söt smak som påminner om godis.
3.4 Lata as "Ballast Point Grunion IPA"- Clear like nice deep golden colour, fair medium white head. Fruity hop in aroma, sweet like, exotic fruits, citrus. Good palate. Fruity citrus exotic fruity hoppiness dominates the bitter flavour, sweet and fruity, maltiness underneath, rather drowned in the hops.
4.0 Friskt, gott, humligt! Läskande!
3.1 Flaska från SB. Dimmig orange öl med ett gulvitt skum. Doft och smak av Persika, passionsfrukt och lättare tallbarrstoner.
3.7 Can.Dark orange colour with medium head.Aroma of fresh hops and citrus mango and orange peel nice dry crispy with medium body and mild finish.
3.8 Can. 5.5%. Best before 08.20. As ’Ballast Point Grunion IPA’. Pours a bit hazy deep golden/light amber, with an off-white/yellowish head. Some lacing. Juicy, citrus/orange, a bit tropical, aroma. Zesty note as it warms. Further warming brings out a light rubber note. Flavour is bitter, a bit liquorice-y, with citrus, tropical fruits. Slightly overripe as it warms, as well as a remote zesty hint. Rather bitter hop finish, with more (and a bit more outspoken) liquorice. Mild alcohol burn. Overall pretty good. Nothing extraordinary, but well-made and -balanced, and the liquorice-y bitterness adds a nice touch. 23.12.19.
2.5 Lite för tung för min smak
3.6 Bra och God Ipa, väldigt prisvärd! Mild eftersmak
3.7 Can. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, hops, yeast, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, citrus fruits, malt, leading to a bitter finish.
3.4 Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate hoppy and light malty. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

3.3 Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, malt, hops, flowers, hops and has a sweet hoppy finish.
2.8 Lokks like a classic pils, light golden colour medium off-white head. Smells lots of spice\perfume, medium body, taste is distinctly floral/earthy/flowery. Hopped like an IPA but not that tropical stuff other american ales offers
3.8 Deep orange with creamy head. Fresh, exotic aromas. Pineapple and peach. Taste is fresh, bitter, stingy grapefruit, and other exotic fruits.
3.8 God IPA med riklig beska. (Fel etikett på bilden)
4.0 Wonderful citrus nose, Cascade Hops? Grapefruit and exotic fruits. A little watery on the mid palate but finishes strong and true to style.
3.8 Gjennomsiktig gyllen med medium høyde på det hvite skummet. Aroma av tropisk frukt og grapefrukt. Grapefruktbitter smak. Medium bitterhet i ettersmaken. Tynn konsistens samt litt tørr.
3.4 355 ml can, as Ballast Point Grunion IPA, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 5.5%. Slightly gushing can. Slightly hazy orange colour, large white head. The aroma has distinct notes of pine, also notes of grapefruit. Pine / resin and grapefruit in the flavour too, a sharp bitterness in the finish. A slight sweetness of crystal malts.
3.7 Can. Clear golden pour with offwhite head. Aroma has some tropical notes. Taste is balanced bitter. Mellow ending. Quite light body. Medium carbonation
2.9 Hard to pin a style here. Some sour fruits, tang, a little gueze like pong. Is it meant to be a sour or is the keg NPR. Herbs & nettles too.
3.4 Golden, cloudy with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, peach and citrus. Medium bitter with a dry peach Finnish. Ok
