Baltika 2 Svetloe

Baltika 2 Svetloe

A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.

The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

2.4 Robe dorée limpide, mousse éphémère. Nez léger, plutôt malté. Bouche acidulée, maltée, avec un léger corps. Manque d'arômes. Un peu de malt et de fleurs. Agréable, peu complexe.
1.7 450ml bottle. Crystal clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, diminishing, white head. Rather expressionless, strawy, grainy aroma with a minimally musty touch. Taste is strawy, grainy, hints of rice and maize; smooth and soft palate, soft to flat carbonation. Simple and monotonous. Doesn't even work as unambitious quencher taken right from the fridge and drunk at a summer day like today.
2.3 Bottiglia.
1.9 Bottle, 0.5 L. Straw clean golden, airy white foam with big bubbles, goes away rapidly. Barley, bread, wet cardboard, faint stone fruit and wet stone. Not expressive at all. Medium sparky, very simple and quite empty palate, watery mouthfeel, but at least it has some gas inside. Not bad anyway, 4.7 ABV is the Russian light :)

3.0 From Decervecitas. In Bavaria hefe glass. Watching Niños Grandes. Plenty of grassy hops (body not feels as watery as usual thx to this) without much taste apart from rice and a slight sweetness at beginning of sip
2.3 Bright and pretty bold golden. Almost no head, though. Aroma is rice and sweet malt. Taste is pretty sweet.
2.3 Nothing special but it is better than water for a party. It’s ok to drink...
1.8 Malzbetonter Antrunk, sehr milder und süsslicher Körper, Hopfen kann ich hier leider garnicht schmecken, leicht getreidig und wässrig.
2.3 Bottle of 50cl, in a Pint; from the fridge. Good Lager, but usual taste, colour... So you can pass this one to try the good ol’ Belgian ones (Maes especially)
2.4 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Haven't seen this beer for about eight years, because for some reason Baltika decided to make it export only. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is corn and malt. Taste is slightly sweet, grain and malt.
2.3 Poured from a 500 ML bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Columbia, SC. The appearance is a clear pale yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is off-putting, stale and skunky. The taste is grains and sadly, skunkiness.
1.8 Bottle from WB Stores, West Bromwich. Golden beer with large head. Aroma of sweet corn, cereal grain and veg. Taste is cereal grain, some sweet corn, pale malts and a little hop bitterness. Drinkable.
2.7 500ml bottle from a EE shop in Bedford. Light to mid-gold, clear. Little head but a fair bit of natural carbonation. Lemon and some ammonia/skunk notes. Tastes okay but not exciting. A bit of sweet/sour grainy flavours, with fewer off notes than your average macro lager. Some light citrus in the short finish. By no means wonderful but I think I expected a lot worse!
3.2 From a bottle into a Ayinger bier glass.. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of light malts, wet towel. Medium carbonation and light mouthfeel. Flavors of light grains, light malt, minerals, slight hay. Overall a little sweeter and more gainy than water, yet refreshing and not offensive.
1.3 500ml Flasche. Hellgelbe Farbe, viel Schaum. Metallischer Hoofenduft. Getreidig herber Geschmack. Langweilig.
1.1 Bottle, 330 ml courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Clear golden with short lasting white head. Malty, acidic, stinky and quite awful.
2.1 Bottle from Perfect Pour. Light gold body with big head. Nose sweet, eggy, lageresque. Taste floral and malty. Grassy. Okay. Quite thin.
2.2 Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden-amber coloured lager with practically no head and a very small carbonation. Has a standard lager aroma and taste with some of the rice influence evident.
2.6 500ml Flasche. Klar und golden. Mittelgrosse Schaumkrone. Hopfiges Aroma. Durchschnittlicher Körper. Bitterer Nachgeschmack.
1.9 Bottle at home. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is corny Pils malt and spicy hops. Flavor is crisp and lightly sweet corny Pils malt, light earthy hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
1.1 Helles Bier und so schmeckt es auch flach und leicht metallisch Getreidegasse süß
2.2 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear pale golden colour. Small frothy white head that quickly disappears. Light grainy, malty aroma and flavour. Slightly bitter finish. April 2015.
1.8 Bottle - Clear pale yellow colour, thin disappearing white head. Aroma of hay, cereal and low hops. Sweet taste, some grassy hops. Thin body, average carbonation, watery finish. Average mass produced pale lager.
2.5 Aroma-Subtle citrus and rice Appearance-Golden colour with medium head that quickly disappears. Taste-Some malt flavour with light bitterness . Palate-Light body with medium carbonation Overall-Average pale lager
2.3 Dorada muy clara, mínimamente turbia. Un dedo de espuma que desaparece rapido. Aroma malteado. Carbonatacion muy abundante, excesivo, pero que le da caracter refrescante. Sabor malteado. Amargor escaso. Bebible.
