1.5 Bottle, 0.5 L. I drank this a lot but i didn't realize, how neutral this beer is. Gold, thick foam, big bubbles, quickly gone. Weak nose, malty, green grainy and a bit yeasty. Watery mouthfeel, short aftertaste, but what surprises me again and again that is almost nothing on the palate. After a while, with all the knowledge i have, unfortunately, this beer is nothing more, than a beer flavoured sparkling water for hot and long summers.
1.9 F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, clear. A: malty, bit skunky, grassy, grainy. T: malty, bit light struck, bit bready, sweet grainy, corny, light body, very watery, medium carbonation, bit oily mouthfeel, not tasty, 470ml bottle from Mini Mix Russian supermarket, Rue Gray 68, 1040 Brussels.
1.8 Backlog rating from RBESG 2008: Pale golden, creamy head. Light grainy nose. Sweet corn, a bit hay. Medium to light body. Meh.
1.6 50cl bottle at Coffee Moffie, Baku. Pours pale golden with small, white head. Grainy aroma with hints of vegetables and possibly hops too. Sweet, grainy and watery. Not much flavour, but a least a hint of bitterness.
1.5 It’s okay when you drink it almost extremely cold to accompany a huge chilli hot slice of pizza (as I did). That’s the only sane purpose of using this beer-like liquid. Fizzy corn water anyone?
1.8 Not my thing, not most people’s thing i guess. Will give it a try to finish the bottle halfway.
3.3 From Combini. In Bavaria glass. Playing Electronic Super Joy. Ultradrinkable. May not have much taste, but it isnt unpleasant and as a thirst-quencher it is insuperable
2.0 Bottle.
2.2 Bottiglia.
3.0 Bottle. Clear embossed bottle. Sweet bland flavour with nothing going for it whatsoever. Apart from the bottle.
2.1 Bottle from WB Stores, West Bromwich. Golden beer with medium head. Aroma of light corn and malt. Taste is vegetal, sweetcorn and light malt. Not great.
1.4 0,5l Flasche. Dunkel goldene Farbe, kaum Schaum. Herber Getreideduft. Wässeriger herber Geschmack.
2.0 Bottle from WB Stores, West Brom. Super pale. No head. Classic venetian blind scent (slightly crackled plastic varietum). Very gentle sourness, to the fried rice tang. A bit sweet too. Largely terrible.
1.4 Pale Golden color, clear liquid and minimal head. Light malty aroma. Taste is a bit sweet (malt) and not bitter at all (couldn’t feel the hops). Not a very good lager.
1.7 500ml bottle. Pours yellow with a small and thin white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Sweet, watery and highly carbonated. One of Baltika's most pointless beers. Not exactly what I wanted to drink for beer number 500, but it was free, so what the hell.
1.3 Transparent bottle with plastic cap, from a Russian supermarket; label reads ’cold fermented’ and that is about the only thing in Latin alphabet mentioned on it. A pale lager from Baltika, with thick, creamy, stable, snow white head leaving thick lacing, and bright golden colour with very strong, champagne-like fizz, extremely vivid. Simple and unattractive, grainy aroma, sweet grains, lightstruck effect (’cat pee’ - not unexpected from a transparent bottle), mineral water, corn and a touch of grass; neutral, grain sweetish taste with a sourish aspect, very lightly bready, thin and watery body and finish, slightly oily mouthfeel, very brief hint of grassy hops in the very end but otherwise remaining straightforwardly grain sweet. Unpleasant to my personal taste, but a marvel to look at.
1.7 You can see the colour through the glass, which in my opinion is just inviting trouble i.e. lightstrike. The last beer I had in a clear bottle was too skunky to be appreciated. This one, not so much, but it can’t help things. In any case, this beer is golden yellow, has next to no head, next to no distinctive aroma and the flavour is of carbonated corn-water. This is as generous a description as I can offer.
2.5 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden, small half finger white head. Medium to high carbonation...more towards the high end...Aroma of grass, grain, floral....Taste of initial grass, then grain, dry biscuit, lightly floral tastes...no honey...which I was expecting with it being a Russian brew. Overall I enjoyed it. Nice lager.
1.9 BOTTLE 50CL. Clear pale golden, white frothy head. Smell like toasted bread and wet cardboard, lollipop sweetness and fusel. Tastes sweet, lollipop, without hops in a mildly watery but smooth body. One pathetic, sweet macro-lager.
1.4 Clear yellow beer with a disappearing small white head. Aroma is malty, with carboad and straw notes. Flavor is sweet, cornish and sticky. Body is watery and carbonation is low.
1.6 Bottle from Rasputin’s Food & Wine, Ipswich. Pours a light golden orange colour with a small white head, soon dissipating. Aroma is sweet, malty. Quite heavy sweetness to taste, with an oily texture. Lively carbonation. Not great this one.
1.6 0,47l bottle. Clear straw colour with a big white head. Soap like foam. Malty aroma and watery taste. Drinkable, I guess... If I can finish it.
1.5 500ml bottle from somewhere in st. Petersburg. Clear gold colour, small fizzy mostly lasting white head, some lacing. Light malty aroma of hay and meal with some grasy hops. Taste is intially slightly sweet and turns into an abrupt marginally bittersweet finish wiht a somewhat carboady feel. Light body, slick mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite tasteless although not downright offensive,.
2.0 500ml bottle pours a flat looking pale yellow gold with a grainy corny aroma the taste is thin sweet cardboard lightly malty & bitter, cheap euro macrolager going to have trouble finishing this but I will
1.9 Bottle. Light golden with fast disappearing white head. Light honey, lemon, corn, light herbs and a touch of cream. Mainly sweet, no hops. Light bodied with light carbonation.
2.3 Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Pale gold with a thin bubbly head and a small carbonation. Fairly typical macro European lager with a small sweetness and bitter malts.
