4.00,7 l bottle. Apperance: An a llmost black with a nice cream coloured frothy head. Aroma :is very complex, roasted malts, coffee, grapes, hints of chocolate. Taste:
Is quite complex, grape and vinous tones, prunes and a bit of zzest combined with the dark malts, roasted malts, coffee and chocolate hints. Finsish is a bit too sweet, but it does have some nice bittereness, also the aftertaste is a bit short.
Medium body,gentle carbonation.
Nice and interesting hybrid between beer and wine.
backlog rating.
3.52008 bottle. 5 oz pours a dark black color with almost no head. Aromas of chocolate malt, dark fruits, caramel. Full bodied, a little past its prime, but a nice beer.
3.8Deep plummy brown under a thin light tan head. Lovely boozy toffee malt aroma with a big sticky grape and fig and raisin nose. Big semisweet nose with sweet berries and grape and fig and belgianish undertones with a mild grapey fleshy dryness and mild citric bitterness. Smooth and fruity sweet overall.
3.3Brown color with a hint of ruby when held to the light. Diminishing tan head. Sweet toasted to roasted malts, mild oak and spices in the scents. Dark dried fruit, mild coffee, earth and woody flavors. 10/11
3.675cl bottle @ Finissons ces pétroles tasting, merci Vincent.
Cuivre, col fin beige.
4.5Pours almost black with a nice cappuccino coloured frothy head. Aroma is very complex and intriguing, quite roasty but I can definitely also taste the grapes! They give a fruity feel to the stouty aroma. Maybe even some hints of chocolate. Quite thick mouthfeel. Flavour is also very complex, quite roasty, but smooth. It is vinous, quite earthy, prune and especially cherry notes, really feels like a mix of an imperial stout and a good red wine. Finish is smooth and herbal sweet, has something of a red wine finish but also bitter. Doesn’t linger as long as most impys though. Brilliant beer and really exciting to try a grape ale.
4.0Noticeable grape notes and fruit flavor. Reminds me of good classic imperial stouts, but seems lighter and more fruity. Appearance is great: dark brown with almost white foam. It has a nice grape aftertaste which lingers for some time.
Schiuma media e poco persistente. Stile a se con note di liquirizia. Buona percezione del cannonau. Dialettale. Punta di astringente.
3.7Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a large, frothy beige head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is soft chocolate malt, nutty and bready malt, dates and figs, earthy yeast and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet bready and nutty malt, dark fruits, some cherry notes, light earthy hops and bitterness with a lightly sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.
4.6Una birra incredibile, emozionante.
Complimenti!
4.3Special strong Sardinian stout in which beer meets the mediterranean wine culture. Creamy, light beige foam, colour as good as black. Complex aroma of coffee, walnuts, chocolate, bayleaf, port wine, cassis, leather; taste bears loads of dark, candied fruits, complex spicy notes, full-bodied red wine and tannins, port wine, slightly smoky touch, near the end an increasingly strong, black coffee-like toasted bitterness, long and very dry with some warming alcohol. The idea of mixing beer and wine of high quality may seem odd, but in this case it works wonderfully.
3.7Color rubí oscuro con espuma beige. Aromas afrutados y dulces de uva. Cuerpo medio, inicio dulce, algo ácido después y muy afrutada. Final seco. Muy rica.
3.9Beautiful vinuous aroma, oak, vanilla. Awesome. Dark brown poiur, almost no head. Sweet flavor, fruit, vanilla, wood, nice. The finish is oaky, slightly pine needle. Medium in body. Excellent.
3.4Bottle, shared with Parksy & Grippitis. Murky brown body, little head. Tart fruit, more cherries than grapes, chocolate, caramel. Low carbonation, medium bodied.
3.3Cloudy deep brown. Floaties. No head. Nose is chocolate and raisins, alcohol. Nice, but overdone. Flavor is raisin, alcohol, some chocolate. Nice, a bit thin. Finish is raisinettes.
3.5..... I don’t know..... i expected something more from this beer.....................
3.519/I/13 - 75cl bottle from Gradi Plato (Roma) @ RBBWG 2013 - BB: I/2014 - 2008 vintage (2013-81)
Clear purple brown beer, small aery beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, raisins, dried fruits, some chloride, grapes, bit sourish. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sugary, red wine, grape fruice, pretty sour, bitter tannins, some caramel (ok, only read afterwards that this beer was made with grapes, suddenly the label makes sense). Aftertaste: little bitter, mocha, sour touch, caramel, bit malty, dry hops, bitter ending, bit chocolaty.
3.5Clear brown colour, beige head. Sweet aroma, caramel, molasses and most. Vinous notes. Sweet flavour, light bitter, roasted malts and some sweet fruits. Light grape peel astringency. Finish liquorice and roasted malts.
Original idea, nice brew.

3.7Thx. tderoeck / Tim for this one. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2013. Apparently made Italian grapes, yay, appears to be some kind of vintage, I am guessing 2011 but that is a pure guess. Pours a blackish brown with a tanned head. Smell sweet, sticky & tad boozy, mocha, grapes, yeast, brown sugar & very strongly vineous. Didn’t know this was made with grapes when I wrote this stuff, was just a bit surprised & figured it just went south like this :) taste is bitter coffee, spices, mocha, chocolate plus a strong vinous character, dark fruits, light booze, malty with red grapes // red wine, light red wine booze in the back. Rather smooth, both sides don’t entirely work, I feel, don’t know, remember the bottle & see the notes but no distinct memories, going mainly by my badly written notes :) This was the last new beer of the evening for me, after this just re-sampling & drinking leftovers.
3.4Bottle (75 cl), courtesy of Nisse666. Black with beige head. Caramelly, chocolatey aroma with salmiak, and some red berries. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Semi sweet, medium bitterness.

Clear dark brown color, brown head. Sweet, malty, grains, roasted, alcohol scent. Sweet, roasted, alcohol, char coal taste. Spicy and metallic aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
3.0Bottle courtesy of Nisse666. Pours hazy deep brown with a big frothy brownish white head that leaves some trace and lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, malty and spicy with dark bread, dark grapes, minerals, dry wood, caramel, cereal, alcohol, honey and red wine. Taste is sweet, malty and fruity with sweet dark bread, sheet metal, dark grapes, resinous wood, grass, alcohol, vanilla, cereal, prunes and minerals. Mouthfeel is round, tiny boozy and medium Bodied. Finish is sweet, tiny bitter and fruity with dark bread, dark grapes, lemon zest, prunes and alcohol.
4.0Murky brown with a thin tan head. Fruity nose with an emphasis on the orange peel. Low carbonation with black tea and dark berry flavors. Soft, freshening mouthfeel with a long finish.
3.6Bottle from Bir&Fud Bottega, shared july 14th 2012.
Hazy amber body, small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, wood, raisins. Taste is sweet and fruity, chocolate, vanilla, blackberries, smoke, and a very winelike finish without going too far. A very different beer due to the winey notes, but a good one nonetheless
