3.9 16-ounce can pours golden yellow with a 3/4" foamy beige head and lacing. Aroma: grapefruit, lemon. Flavor: pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, orange, toast, pine, jack fruit, honeydew melon, passion fruit. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, slick finish.
3.8 On tap. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, dank hops, grassy hops, hop oils. Flavor of stinky hops, dank hops, grapefruit, citrus, bitter hops. Lots of bitter, dank hops and grapefruit/citrus. Great ipa! 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)
3.0 Hazy orangey golden, almost opaque. White head, two fingers, good retention. Difficult to see the carbonation through the haze. Oily texture with soft fizz. Aroma is dirty: dank, dirty and too ripe tropical fruits, even some cat piss, undefined citrics, wet grass. The same in mouth. Hint of acidity. Soft bitterness at the end. Alcohol is well integrated. Again, an IPA from Barrier that is one month old but feels like a four month old kind of NEIPA. Not impressed, by any means. And it's too expensive for what it offers. Lazy affair.
3.5 1 Pint can. Pours a cloudy honey with a frothy white head. Mild citrus and pine scents. Very juicy with a nice astringent understated bite of grapefruit hops. Well balanced with a dry mouthfeel. Good IPA.
3.9 Keg at Tilt, Birmingham. Light golden, clear, slightly hazy with a thin white head. Creamy and juicy aroma with peach, apricot, orange peel. Bittersweet taste, initially almost a nutty flavour, with a perfectly-judged hoppiness nearer the finish. It's that rare beast: an IPA which maintains its complexity while letting the joose loose. Medium carbonation. Love this.
3.7 Frothy off white head left a collar on a turbid dark orange coloured still body. Bitter orange, pith & onion aroma. Medium bodied, airy in the mouth with a short blunt back. Bitter orange, pith, hops, grapefruit, sweet citrus, grass, & resin tastes.
4.0 Very nice IPA. A great balance of slightly bitter citrus with a mildly dry and bitter hoppy finish. Fruit without being strongly sweet.
4.0 Barrier money from a tap in NYC. Really refreshing beer, oranges and grapefruit together with mild hops. Enjoyed it without really taking notes.
3.5 Draft. Hazy amber beer with a cream head. orange and tropical fruit aroma. tropical fruit and light lemon flavor with light grapefruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and light lemon linger with light grapefruit.
4.8 Orange hazy color, aroma of melon and heavy piny flavor. Crisp, dry perfect aroma and bitter hops, balanced by a slight sweetness without being sweet but just canceling out the hop assault. Absolutely amazing!
4.4 Realy liked this beer got it in a can from whole foods in new york city nice bitter finish made me want more
3.6 Fresh fruit flavors with some grass lingering in the background and bitter finish. This beer goes down very easy. Before you know it the can is empty. The alcohol level is very well hidden. Good one!
3.7 Keg at The Northern Monk Refectory, Manchester. A hazy deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, some pine, wood, slight peach, passionfruit and subtle grassy hops. Taste of grapefruit, orange, passionfruit, slight pine, wood, a little peach, resin and subtle grassy, herbal hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A long, dryish, fruit and grassy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. I agree with other raters that this is a west coast / east coast hybrid. Bitter hoppy notes of pine and citrus, tropical fruit juice and a slight sweetness of malt. Good.
3.5 Super hazy deep copper and vibrant raw honey golden coloured body with a straw and tan coloured head, about two centimetres tall. Aroma of grass, light herbs, some citrus fruits and a touch of nutty and earthier hops - not usually smelt in a hazier IPA. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep robust hop and bitterness up front with a lighter citrus note, some pine and cleanser astringency, but all ending relatively clean with a light nutty and biscuity malt bite at the end which shows some alcohol and a dose of grain as well. Aftertaste shows a lot of the hop characteristics - ranging from pine to flowers and also some grass at the end - quite nice and wide-ranging flavours dominate this one. Overall, definitely more of a 'plain'/Typical IPA with a huge hazy glow on the appearance, but a good fresh hop-forward beer that shows nicely, just not an amazing sample that everyone should try to find immediately. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 22-June-2019 for US$3,79 sampled at home in Washington on 27-June-2019.
3.8 Tropical fruit. Needs a swirl to waken them. On second and third taste. More west style. Pine and grapefruit.
4.1 A little East Coast (haze/bitter) and a little West Coast (malt and sweet)...nice combo
3.7 Draft at the Kultainen Apina, Hervanta, Finland. Enjoyed on Apr 27 2019. Hazy bright yellow color with a big foamy white head. Dryish fruity hoppy aroma with passion fruit, peach, some bitterness and mango notes. The flavor is dry fruity hoppy with moderate bitterness, dryness, stone fruit, mild dank and dark resinous notes. Soft carbonation.
3.6 16oz can. Poured a cloudy golden color with a medium sized head. Citrus, floral and pine.
3.5 Draft at Bru Craft. Cloudy orangish yellow pour with a large frothy white head. Juicy tropical citrus NEIPA. Lemon. Papaya. Pineapple. Plantain. Kumquat. Mango. Guava. Light pine. Some turbid grassiness in the finish. Not bad.
3.0 Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, huge head. Aroma of papaya and guava. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with lots of guava, notes of overripe mango. Fairly low bitterness.
4.0 473ml can. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine. Taste is the same, juicy hops, citrus, grapefruit, orange, pine, a little dank, light sweet, orange peel bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Excellent.
3.5 Golden haze, medium bodied with resin and lemon citrus aromas. East West Coast style IPA. Got a crowler from Roger Wilco, Pennsauken.
3.6 Fresh tropical fruit and grass, pineapple, oranges. NEIPA appearance, cloudy yellow color with small sized white head. Fresh peach, orange, bit lactic, pineapple, grapefruit, bitter aftertaste. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.7 Tap at Mash Barcelona 2018. Cloudy yellow beer, white head. Tropical fruits, orange, citrus, pineapple, mango. Medium body, average carbonation, juicy finish.
3.4 Clear gold with little head Aroma is rich spicy flowery hop Flava is grainy citrusy Feels medium crisp with lively fizz Finishes dry bitter tangy
3.9 Can from Whole Foods, Houston St. NYC. Clear golden body with a large frothy white head. Hops, pine needles, grass, malt, citric, grapefruit. Good.
3.5 Can 16fl.oz. @ home. [ As Barrier Money IPA ]. Unclear - hazy medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, relative weak aroma - not much to catch. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, pale malt, fruity malt, medium dry, fruity, light citrus - grapefruit. IMO a fruity good IPA - but also a bit anonymous and boring IPA ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20180820] 7-3-7-3-15
3.8 473 ml can. Canned on 24.04.2018. Pours clear pale golden color with a large white head. Aroma is citric, hoppy, some grassy notes, pine, grapefruits. Flavor is also quite citric and refreshing crisp, hoppy bitterness, again some grapefruit notes on the finish. Solid. 3515
3.6 Sample at the 6th Annual Craft Beer Festival by The Community Tap on 04/21/2018. Hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Stringy lace. Herbal hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of tropical fruit, herbal hops and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
