2.525cl bb01/2017, BL sampler. Bref: does for UK pale ale, Belgian-style, what Stella and Jupiler did for lager, Belgian-style: adjunct sugars and cardboard. Sweet wet cardboard in aroma substitute malt caramels, a touch of rain-drenched labrador and the faintest whiff of black tea. Mainly faint diluted saturated sugars in taste, then some UK-ish tealeaf bitters coming through to add the only touch of peppery character. Dryish palate, short black tealeaf finish. Basic Ersatz pale ale for a beautifully simple, bygone era when this was called "pel el"...
2.3Very sweet with some Belgian flavours finishing in a mild lageresque way. Not really a pale ale, not really any discernible style... Sweet sugar water beer.
2.625cl bottle. Pours an amber colour with an thin off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, caramel and grassy. Average carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is light bitter. Overall, a bit unbalanced brew with strange notes in the aroma and flavour. Drinkable though.
2.8Bottle. Medium white head. Amber body. English malt, wheat, Belgian yeast, iron, beef, Belgian hops, pine resin. Sweet. Oily and dirty mouthfeel. Dry finish. Well carbonated. Too sweet and cheap and adjuncty.
3.1Fles, thuis. Jumbo. Droog stroef pils met herfstblaadjessmaakje. Ontwikkeld zich geleidelijknaar een zacht moutig mondgevoel. Karton, zanderig. Backlog from 2015/10/27.
3.2Een zeer licht bier, een lichte kleur, wel een goede schuimkraag. Het valt al bij al nog mee.
2.7Copper colored, clear, medium off white head. Aroma is sweet pale malt, sugar, grassy oxidized hops. Taste is medium sweet malt, caramel and candy sugar, grassy low+ bitterness, cardboard. Sweet finish. Low to medium bodied, sticky and watery mixed texture, soft carbonation. Like a sugar infused not really fresh English bitter...
2.7Bottle from local Jumbo, BB 18/07/16, large sample. Clear amber to copper color, medium rocky head. Aroma of buttery caramel, slight spicy yeast. Quite sweet in taste, varamel, slight bitterness. Typical belgian amber stuff. Boring.
3.0Bottle. Pours amber. Caramelly, some dark fruit, some flowery hoppiness. Like a Belgian amber.

3.0Amber beer with a white head, medium carbonation.

3.24/14/2008 11:39:40 PM Bottle from Bier Koning. Amber body with decent head and toffee nose. Sugary, malty taste with caramel, sweetness. Bitter in the finish. Enjoyable.
1.6Aroma of sweet malt, grains, metallic notes, skunk, hint of fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Not good.
2.9Good one. Nose and flavour are fruity, but not too much. Ending is a light bitterness.
2.5Something strange about the aroma but not sure what. Medium bitterness and a little sweetness. Clear orange no head.
2.3Lager hop aroma. Crisp bitterness. Lacing but almost no foam! Flat bitterness that builds up.
3.3The beer has a nice tough soft white foam head. The beer is extremely clear. The color is orange red. Really nice. The smell is good. It is has a bitter citrusy hop aroma. The hop aroma is very nice. The smell has something sour and refreshing, I think this is doused by the hops as well. The taste is even better than the smell. It has a little alcohol flavor. Not to strong, it doesn’t overwhelm. The taste has a hoppy bitternes, really fresh. There also is a sweet hint of fruit. This balances out the bitternes perfectly. A very nice beer.
2.9Drinking from a 25 cl bottle.
In the aroma alcohol, malt, caramel.
The clear orange beer has a medium off-white head.
In the taste caramel and bread.
Medium carbonated.
2.6Bottled from AH in Mestreech. Light amber colour, with small beige foamy head. Flat nose. Aroma is malts, sweet and light hops. Flavour is hops, caramel malts. Sweet aftertaste.

2.725cl bottle from local Jumbo supermarket. Dark amber brown with a small slightly off-white head. Light to medium body with low carbonation. Low sweet- and bitterness. Caramel, malts and some hops. A refreshing but boring beer.
3.4Bottle shared in Brussels. I’ve had Bass many times but not recently. I saw the label and thought it would be a nice intermission from the outrageous beers it was sandwiched between. Turns out Belgium has it’s own Bass. Whatever happened to Bass? I enjoyed a nice mundane English Pale Ale if only to mediate the tempo of drinking. It’s objectively not the greatest of beers but it was right for the moment.
2.7Pours a clear dark amber color, topped with a decent white head. Mild malty aroma with some gentle notes of caramel. Taste is similar - slight sweetness, caramel and mild bitterness in the finish. Nothing out of the ordinary really.
2.70,25 liter. Copper coloured body with light head. Light sweet with malty hops nothing special.
2.7Heldere koperen kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt iets fruitig, moutig. Weinig geur. Smaakt zoetig, moutig, hop.
3.12015 - 04 - 26 250ml bottle light amber colour. medium white head. barnyard un aroma. bit bitter-sweet taste.
3.2It purs a hazy/amber color. Decent Pale Ale with a remarkable bitter and hoppy aroma. I enjoyed it.
