A cloudy yellow pale ale with medium, firm white head. Surprisingly hoppy in aroma and taste, where it blends quite well with the cereal, herbal and a bit earthy. Long-lasting light bitterness and a dry finish. A bit all over the place, but enjoyable nonetheless.
ik zou het niet meteen een pale-ale noemen, maar wel een lekker fris biertje met fijne aroma's
hazy dark golden to orange colour, huge, dense white head; aroma of wine cellar, dry white wine notes, lemongrass and earthy notes; taste of dry white wine, citruses, some coriander, earthy and yeasty notes; great Belgian ale!
Bouteille 33 cl / Le Grain d'Orge - Crissier (CH). Blonde dorée à pétillement vivant sous une superbe mousse blanche compacte et laissant des dentelles. Arômes floraux, houblon agrumes, malt et levure épicée, fruité. La bouche est crémeuse avec une belle rondeur, le houblonnage à cru déploie des tons d'agrumes avec du fruité de citron et de levure. Equilibre parfait, malt gourmand et amer houblonné d'agrumes-pin idéal.

En bouteille de 33 cl. Elle est blonde dorée et la mousse est abondante. Le nez est assez discret, va vers les céréales, le malt, les herbes puis la banane en fin de dégustation. La bouche est amère d’entrée, effervescente, maltée, biscuitée, un peu épicée et encore de l’amertume sur la finale sèche. Assez sympa cette BPA !

Bijna helder donkerblond bier, met witte schuimkraag.
Aroma: klein zoetje, fruitig en hoppig. Medium body.
Smaak: zoet bij start, direct gevolgd door fruitige hop, tikje kruiden, mooie zachte bitterheid.

Good Belgian Pale Ale, as all the beer from the Bastogne Brewery. Nice blond colour, great aroma and taste.

Tap@Beerlovers Luik. Goudkleurig troebel. Dikke plakkraag. Ruikt gistig. Smaakt gistig, vaag witte wijn. Niet zo mijn smaak.

Pours golden and slightly cloudy.
Highly carbonated. I’ve found it well made but very classic to the Belgium ale style without standing out.
Slightly hazy apricot-blond with a huge white head and some floating yeast. Aroma is hoppy/fruity and malty, but with a weird sense through it all. This same element is also leading in the taste; not nice. Is it an infection (because no one else mentions this disturbing taste)??
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into both trappist and tulip glass.
Appearance: Amber colour, rich head.
Aroma: Yeast, malt, hops orange…
Palate: Medium body, medium to high carbonation.
Taste: Nice spicy taste (coriander?), yeast, hops, gentle citric aftertaste.
Overall impression: Very enjoyable and tasty, maybe over-carbonated.
Licht geel bier met veel schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fruitig met iets van citrus, gras en abrikoos.
all around solid blonde ale. very carbonated, dry with light fruity sweetness. somewhat peppery. a good sessionable ale.
Very decent beer. Just nothing fancy about it. Great for when thirsty. Nothing else to mention.
Bottle from Carrefour Express, Bastogne. Pours hazy golden with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, corn, grass, light citrus. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight watery texture, above average carbonation.
Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, bitter hops, fruits, grass and has a nice bitter finish.
Nice ipa-ish blonde. Not too special, but decent. Very Belgian, so not a copy of anything anglosaxon
Bottle, 33cL. Home. A golden orange opaque beer with a big white foamy, omelet-like head ; great retention. Citrus, herb, wild flowers, similar to "Belle d?Et?". Light sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing, light spicy, light sour. Light body, light silky texture, good carbonation, floral bitter acid lasting finish. Overall, really good !
F: big, light off-white, good retention.
C: orange-gold, hazy, opaque.
A: malt, citrus, tangerine, dusty, yeast.
T: malt, caramel, orange, hint of bread, dusty, medium body, good carbonation, good balanced, sample @ Poperinge Beerfestival 2016.

Robe blonde, fine mousse, peu persistante. Nez sur les levures, le malt, touche lactée, épicées, céréales, un peu animale, fourrure (de sanglier...). Bouche à l’attaque ronde, agréable, bulle crémeuse, finale épicée et maltée. Une bière de caractère.

Bottle @ Lord Byron Pub, Koper, Slovenia. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, candy sugar, some sweet dried fruit, little old. Flavor is quite sweet, malt, yeasty, sugar, fruit. Medium body, lively carbonation, light sweet finish. 100816
Uklar gulbrun farge med masse luftig skum. Lukter av gjær og citrus. Brusende og syrlig i munnfølelse. Syrlig også i ettersmak.
Version à 5.0%. Superbe robe jaune paille, trouble, haute mousse dense et blanche à crétères, belle tenue. Le nez est sur la levure belge (un peu de banane) et les houblons épicés et herbeux. L’attaque est assez houblonnée : amertume moyenne mais assez prononcée pour une ale belge, le côté herbeux des houblons prend tout d’abord le dessus, pour laisser subrepticement la place aux malts, puis reprend rapidement le dessus pour une finale herbeuse comme l’attaque. Très bonne carbo, longueur correcte et le corps n’est pas trop aqueux pour une bière légère. Superbe réussite, une bonne ale belge bien houblonnée, qui a la caracteristique (le mérite dirai-je) d’être légère en alcool, chose rare pour une bonne ale belge !
DWF; Bottle 0,75cl., from Vinmonopolet. Pours large, cloudy gold with a frothy, lasting and lacing white head. Nose is moderate to heavy, urinal tablett, soap, moderate citrus, coriander, yeast and light spice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a short lasting citrus finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is avarage.
Small bottle at home. Pours dark blonde, white head which fades quickly. Nice aroma: bready and lots of funky hop. Initial sweetness soon gives way to a firm bitterness. Juicy malt and fruit, slightly citrus and pineapple notes. Light carbonation, good mouthfeel and a long, dry finish. Very enjoyable.
Bottle from Willems. It pours hazy orange with a big white head. The aroma is fruity and dry with light citrus notes. Bitter and fruity hoppy flavor. Dry and citrusy. Nice one.
Helder goudblond bier met witte schuimkraag. Geur: leuke neus en hoppig. Smaak: bitterig, honing zoetig, conference peer. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: honing zoet, licht bitter. Vreemd, ik herinner me dit als een bitterder bier met Amerikaanse C-hop. Herproeven zeker?
