3.2 Flaska från SB, delad med Samuel214. Mörkbrun/kastanj med litet vitbeiget skum. Sött i doften, torkad frukt, brunt socker. Medelstor, något torr. Snäll sötma från torkad frukt och brunt socker, men främst lite brända toner och rostad malt. Väldigt snäll beska.
3.9 Like this. Pint at the Salamander. Pours deep ruby, lacy head. Toasty, roasty nose, hint if dates and spice. Sime smoke and chocolate on the taste too. Perfect accompaniment to a sausage roll. Damn good.

3.5 Bottle (50 cl, Bath Quarter Mix Pack) from Systembolaget. CLear deep mahogny to chestnut, medium beige head. Nutty, caramelly slightly roasted malt aroma. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry, medium bitterness.
3.5 Srednie piwo. Za duzo karmelu, a za malo goryczki. Przypominalo raczej dunkela niz Bittera. W smaku karmel, ciastka orzechowe i marcepan. Goryczka jako taka byla ale marna. Pianka tez niewielka i szybko opada. Klarowna rubinowo miedziana barwa. Nic szczegolnego.
3.0 Cask ale on tap in the highlander Winlaton. Rich mahogany colour. Dropped bright. Not much aroma.. hint of dark chocolate. Taste is smooth rich dark bitter. Chocolatey smokey and creamy. Lacks something but overall a good dark bitter cask !
3.8 Pours a finger of head on a dark straw body. Aroma is caramel and licorice. Taste is burnt wood, caramel and licorice. Really good. Texture is smooth. Great flavors.
3.3 Bottle at home. Deep brown colour. Malty and smooth. Mildly bitter taste. Light body. A bit dull but ok.
3.1 Grain and cereal malts, bread, light caramel and fruity. Clear, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light sweet. Intense malts continue, bread, grain, light toffee. Just about boring Bitter, not bad, but nothing extraordinary at all. Bottle from Waitress, Bath.
3.0 500ml bottle at home. Poured clear chestnut with white head. Nose is malt biscuits caramel. Taste is malt biscuits caramel toffee medium carbonation. Average decent bitter.
2.8 Butelka 500 ml. Ciemnbrazowe z rubinoymi refleksami o bialej malej pianie. W zapachu nikle chmiele slodkawy karmelowy zapach i ciastka. Smak slodko-gorzki : karmel orzechy . Marcin G
3.2 Bottle. Appearance - close to opaque black but with some red chinks. Off white almost fawn head. Nose - toffee and biscuits. Taste - more toffee than biscuits. Was hoping for some malt or hop bitterness on the finish. Some hazelnuts in there too. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - a solid bitter but as mentioned earlier it could do with more bitterness on the finish.
3.2 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet butterscotch, some dark fruit and a touch metallic. Taste is less sweet than the aroma, some caramel and butterscotch, dark and dried fruits, touch of metallic bitterness. Interesting, and not bad.
2.9 Cask at The Court Inn, Durham, £3.65/pint. Pours dark, ruby brown with a smooth, creamy head. The nose is malty sweet and biscuity but also has a strange nail polish-esque quality. The taste is reasonably bitter and crisp with lightly smoky shortbread, toffee, bread and treacle flavours. A little pedestrian.
3.0 Molasses kike, some apple sauce. Decent but i have had better beers brought to me by uckelman
3.2 Bottle 500 ml. Amber-bronze color with good white foam. Aroma: diacetyl (butter), caramel and a bit of British hops. Taste: caramel, malty with pleasant hop bitterness.
3.1 Appearance- very dark brown, with a Ruby tinge. Not much head at all. Aroma- malts, caramel, brown bread, hint of dark fruit, milk chocolate. Taste- quite chocolatey and a bit roasty, dark malts, blackberries, fruitcake, sweet caramel undertones, some fruitiness, smooth mouthfeel with a short, bitter finish. Solid stuff.
3.6 Pours a clear, dark brown/red with short lasting tan head that is easily roused back into existence with a light swirl. Grain, caramel, honey, and toasty malt in the aroma. Flavours bring toast, molasses, and a lightly balanced bitterness. Full bodied with medium carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel.
3.4 Gravity cask at the Lady Lane Wharf beer festival, June 2015. Poured a dark brown colour with a thin whispy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, treacle toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light sweet butterscotch, woody resin hop palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation.
3.8 Dark reddish brown, clear. Medium tan head. Lots of roasted malt aroma and candied red fruits, with a little cocoa. Medium-full body, slightly oily., bitter, mineral finish with rather a lot of acid. Bittersweet.
3.8 Dark ruby brown, no head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and roasted. Taste is of roasted nuts and a bit of coffee, ending in that lovely flat minerally taste/feel that is so typical of a very good British ale.
3.3 Dark reddish brown with a white head. Malty aroma and the taste is bitter upfront and a sweet finish.
3.3 Origin: Bottle. Vessel: Bottle. Locale: House (Bristol). Bitter with fruity overtones, slightly smoky.
3.3 Good hoppy aroma. Dark appearance with good head. Bitter taste with toffee at end. Although not the strongest not bad on palate. Would drink again.
3.0 Cask at the white lady. Pours clear dark amber with a bubbly cream-coloured head. Aromas of malt and a light sour note. Taste is more of the same. Thin, caramel, light herbs maybe. Toffee at the end.
3.6 Brown color with ruby hues and a lasting off white head. Aroma is buttery toffee with burnt caramel treacle flavor. Gentle bitter cofeish aftertaste. Easy but interesting
3.5 Cask@the avion, aldridge. Dark brown beer with medium creamy head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel and malts. Taste is dark malts, caramel, a hint of chocolate and mild hop bittering. Good.
