Dark Side is an impressive and seriously smooth stout, brewed with flair and diligence using a blend of dark roasted malts and an old-fashioned (and rather famous) English hop called Fuggles. Dark Side contains wheat and barley malt.

3.6 Bottle from West Country Ales, Cheddar, Somerset. Black with a thick white head. It has a chocolate, liquorice, roasted and brine flavours followed by a slight dried fruit and roasted finish. Very good.

2.7 Black color with mocca coloured head. Aroma coffee and dark chocolate. Taste as aroma but also quite watery.

2.7 Keg at Curio Lounge, Stroud. Black with a thick beige nitro head. Mild chocolate roasty flavour, some fizz, quite watery. Like an old school keg stout; would undoubtedly be far better on cask.

3.4 Tap at Bath Ales. Steady creamy head on top of a brown-red body. Really easy going. More caramel than roast. Very mellow and malt centered. Creamy, straightforward.

3.8 Svart med lys brunt kremete skum. Mineralsk lukt i starten, fløte og noe søt lakris. Absolutt smooth! Smaker søt lakris, lett kaffe og fløte. Kort.

3.4 Bottle, pours red-black with a coarse tan head, roasty malt and a little red fruit on the nose, palate is roasty dry-bitter with hints of coffee and an underlying fruity sweetness. Nice.

3.5 Pint at Grey’s, Bath. Dark brown in colour with a thin, pale yellow head. Aroma of dark malts with a touch of smoked meat. Dark malts are dominant in the taste, with secondary smoked bacon and cream. Thick and creamy mouthfeel.

3.6 Flaska från SB. Del av mixpack. Riktigt mörkt brun med smutsvit skumpuck. Lätt, torr men mjuk stout med fina smaker av hårdrostad malt, mörkt bröd, kokkaffe, toffee, läder och lite aska och rök. Mycket drickbar och riktigt trevlig.

3.1 Bottle 50cl from Systembolaget. Black with a thin offwhite head. Peat, smoke, malt, sweet. Some bitterness and sweetness. Medium/full body, low carbonation, smoky finish.

4.0 Charcuterie aroma, salami.Some another notes of roastiness as well. Quite smoky taste, malty sweet finish. Creamy smooth texture.

3.3 Bottle. Clear red brown beer with a large beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, toffee, bread, dried fruit and herbs. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, bread, honey, molasses, herbs and toffee. Well balanced.

3.4 Mycket mörkt rödbrun med litet beiget skum. I doften finns lite charkuterier, kaffe och mörk choklad. Smaken är rostad med kaffe, lite lakrits och en antydan till mörk frukt, eftersmaken är riktigt torr. En lätt men ändå smakrik stout i klassisk engelsk stil, imponerande att få så mycket smak med bara 4 %.

3.1 Bottle. Very Dark Brown in colour, with Reddish highlights. Malty; roasty malts, caramel, light coffee, hint of chocolate. Fruity; lightly fruity. Hoppy; grassy hops. Rather thin. Mildly sweet roast malty throughout with a slight bitter hop edge. Dry finish. OK. Drinkable. (2011-04-28)

3.3 Flaska från SB, delad med Samuel214. Svart med fingerhögt, gräddigt vitbeiget skum. Lite sött i doften med torkad frukt, toffee, torra rostade toner. Lätt, len kropp. I smaken lite mer rostade toner, lite kaffe. I avslutningen går över i något rökiga inslag med en del chark och läder.

3.0 Helt ok Stout. Mild. Men inte helt menlös. Skulle kunna dricka en till. Skummet var lite klent dock.

3.3 Bottle, 500 ml, at Miners Pub, Belgrade. pours dark brown with small beige head. light roastiness, some coffee, caramel, malty. Moderate sweetness, bitterish finish. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Decent.

3.2 500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear dark brown with hints of ruby. Small and short lasting creamy beige head, some lacing. Toasty malty aroma, licorice, bread and chocolate. Dry and light mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Roasted, dry and bitter taste, chalky and grassy, licorice and bread. Chalky, cocoa bitter finish.

3.1 500ml bottle. Almost black with barely any head. Aroma: roasted malt, dried fruit, hint of chocolate. Taste: roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruits, berries, liquorice. Thin-medium body, average carbonation, relatively low bitterness.

3.3 Bottle shared by Björn thanks. Short head. Clear brown color. Nice roasted malty aroma. Balanced roasted malty taste with a nice body and small sweetness.

3.2 0.5l bottle. Dark brown color with disappearing white head. Aroma is weak roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is roasty with chocolate. Medium body. Overall it’s fine stout.

3.0 Bottle @ Jesperhus Camping. Pours black with a creamy tan head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, light courtesy, coffee, berries, dark chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, our berries, coffee, chocolate. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, dry finish. 211016

3.3 Bottle. Nose is dark fruits, black current, little licorice. Taste is dark fruit, licorice, hint of coffee. Mouthfeel is too thin. I think one of the better supermarket beers that benefits for being served at a warmer cellar temperature

3.6 Bottled. Dark brown, mid sized head. Licorice and bread up front. Dry with light-medium body. Toasty with licorice and grain. Long bitter finish.
