Ingredients: Natural mineral water, barley malt, Cascade hop and Polaris hop
With the Swinkels family comes brewing beer. For centuries the two have been inseparable. To this extraordinary story, Swinckels’ adds a new chapter. When the 7th generation Swinkels took over from the 6th, the idea was born to celebrate the transition with a special pilsner, that is worthy of our brewing tradition. We used Cascade hop from the Yakima valley in the United States and Polaris hop from Hallertau. Then we combined these special hops with the yeast ultivated especially for the family. We felt this would work. A matter of experience and especially intuition. This made Swinckels’ what it is; an outspoken, superior pilsner, with a fresh, refined taste. That’s how we do things; by disregarding convention, trusting our gut feel. Probably the reason we’re the only sizeable brewery in the Netherlands that is still family owned.
Called Swinkels Volmaakt until 2013, alcohol % reduced from 5.5 to 5.3%

Dorada clara de burbuja fina. Aroma escaso, malteado. En boca es malteada, cereal con ligero toque amargo creciente hasta el postgusto. Agradable pilsen
June 2021 - the day bottom ranked Scotland held favourites England to 0-0 draw at Wembley in Euro 2020. Small brown bottle, stale, from lowcostbeers. The trick I have learned is not to buy pale lager from lowcostbeers. This is smudgy and cardboardy. Not nice. Stick to the strong, dark beers. [1.5]
Oct 2013. 330ml dark bottle, filtered, from BeerWulf. A typical smudgy lager with a mild hop bite that could be noble hops or a small amount of Cascade, or a blend. But the hops are not enough to lift this anyway. I like my lagers to be either more interesting or more refreshing. Give me crisp and fresh rather than the dreary creamy sludge that this is. [2.2]
Beetje zoet en weinig hop.Bijna dubbele prijs van de normale Bavaria en echt te weinig onderscheidend.Een gemiste kans van Bavaria. Gulpener Neubourg en Brand Up zijn veel en veel beter. Schaam je Bavaria!😡
Een pilsener dat er uit ziet zoals bier bedoeld is. Goudkleurig, veel koolzuur en een fijne witte schuimkraag. Qua smaak niet heel onderscheidend van andere pilseners.
330ml Can from Mam and Dad;s holiday, Netherlands.
Bright golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a grassy and toffee flavour with slight floral notes on the warming caramel and bitter-sweet finish. Not bad.
Bottle As swinckels superior pilsner. Clean and crisp some malty bite medium bodied
Bottle, from Heron Supermarket. Amber gold, fluffy and sustained white head and gentle condition. Muted sweet grain, slightly estery and a gentle grassy hop note in the nose, full bodied and malty in the mouth with some low caramel notes, a slight chalkiness and more esters, finish is sweet and estery with a low hop bitterness lingering.
Te smerig voor woorden
Riecht frisch hopfig. Goldenes Pils mit einer mittelporigen Schaumkrone. Der Antrunk ist erfrischend, obwohl wenig carbonisiert. Leicht süßlich, erinnert an süddeusches Bier. Etwas Herbe hätte dem Bier gut gestanden.
33 cl fles. Swinckels' Superior Pilsner versie. Goudblond bier met witte schuimkraag. Geur: licht moutzoet, pilsmout, vleugje hop. Smaak: licht zoet, ietwat florale hop en ietwat grassig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: wat brood en terug iets floraal. Verder: Wel ja, pils hé.
Medium carbonation, flavour is nicely sweet, and nicely bitter. Nice pilsner
Tap. Volgens mij mag het voorvoegsel Bavaria wel weg bij de naam; het is wel van Bavaria, maar met Swinkels willen ze zich toch anders presenteren (lees: beter). Qua smaak redelijk pilsener, niet onaangenaam. Ligt lekker in de mond. Weinig opvallende smaakelementen, subtiel bitter.
Personally I would rate this beer as a German Pilsener, though it is a little on the sweet side. A nice light beer with decent pilsener style hopping.
Ein Bier ohne große Aromenvielfalt. Leicht herb bitterer Hopfen, leichter Malz und ein Schuss Getreide.

Wie erwartet recht unspektakulär. Eine Mischung aus Reis, Mais und etwas Hopfen im Geschmack, während die Nase relativ nichtssagend bleibt. Ein Bier, das wir dazu nutzen, um unser scharfes Essen runterzuspülen.
The beer has got a clear golden colour with a steady head and thin body. Aroma of metall and hops. Taste of jops, grass and citrus. Metallic finish
Robe dorée limpide, mousse faible, nez léger. En bouche, on a une pils extrêmement classique, pas très amère ni goûtue.
A very malty aroma, bread and some alcohol. The head is medium large, white and foamy with a normal duration. The body is golden. A light bitter grassy taste, quite nice. The body is medium strong, creamy and light oily with a soft carbonation.
0,33 liter bottle. Didn't know at first this was made by Bavaria, which was a good thing. Nice pilsener.
Butelka 0,33 l. Prawilna jasno złota barwa. Biała obfita piana, niestety mało trwała, za to zostawia dużo śladów na szkle. Aromat umiarkowanie słodowy. Poza tym masełko jak się patrzy, czyli ewidentny diacetyl. W smaku lekkie, delikatnie słodkie. Prosty pilsner bez większej historii, ale jednak z tych nie najgorszych.
Fles 33cl thuis als Swinckels Volmaakt, 5,5%. Grasgeur en smaak. Beetje Corona achtig. Wat bitter. (1-2013).
Bottle. Clear pale golden with white head. The aroma has notes of malt, some flowers, honey and corn sugar. The flavor is bitter and moderate sweet with notes of corn sugar, herbs, malt and black pepper, some alcohol. Light-bodied.
Tap @ Klif 12, Den Hoorn VI 2018. Mooie heldere oker kleurig biertje met een witte schuimkraag. Echte een perfecte kleur voor een pils. Verder maltig met een goeie Goeie bitter. Perfect biertje voor de afsluiting Om ‘t Eiland. Na twee dagen Texel ben je namelijk die skuumkoppe wel zat. Je klokt deze bij de warmte zo weg :-) Origineel glas 6-5-6-2-15
Tiefgold, wenig Krone, leicht karbonisiert. Leicht malzig, getreidig, etwas grasig. Alle Noten sehr dezent, dennoch rund und süffig.
Bottle. Pours clear yellow golden with a quickly disappearing head. Smell of grainy malt, honey, a bit vegetal. Sweetish with herbal bitterness, grainy, honey, bread and some corn like flavors. Light bodied, fizzy.
Clear dark golden beer with minimal white head lasts long. Aroma is light sweet malty and burnt caramel. Taste is light bitter sweet, caramel. Mild body, not watery. Overall quite nice easy pilsener.
Barwa złota, piwo klarowne; biała gęsta piana długo utrzymuje się w kuflu. W smaku słód ustępujący bardzo wyważonej, nienachalnej chmielowej goryczce, współgrający z nią na finiszu idealnie. Nieco nut owocowych, znajdzie się też miód w głębokim tle. Bardzo gładkie, zbalansowane do granic możliwości. Świetne piwo, godne polecenia.
Beautiful golden colour, luminous with gentle bubbling and a frothy white head.
Smell is sharp and peppery, rather medicinal. Chlorine, grains, dust, hint of citrus.
Taste is bitter watery with malty body. Lightly astringent refreshing finish.
Pours golden without head. Great looking bottle, not so great beer sadly. Watery.
