Die Herzen unserer Brauer schlugen höher, als sie in die tiefen Keller unserer Brauerei hinabstiegen, um durch Verkostung aus den Lagerfässern die Qualität und Reife unseres Bieres zu prüfen. An diemsem traditionellen Ritual, das in der Brauersprache zwickeln genannt wird, hat sich bis heute nichts geändert. Wahrlich einer der schönsten Momente für unsere Brauer, wenn sie beim Zwickeln den vollwürzige Geschmack der natürlichen Inhaltsstoffe probieren dürfen. Mit dem Genuss von Aktien Zwick’l können Sie dieses Erlebnis geschmackvoll anchempfinden.

Die Optik ist top! Bernstein- bis ockerfarben und selbstverständlich trüb mit gelb-orangen Reflexen. Die leicht bräunliche, feinporige bis cremige Schaumkrone gibt sich sehr flaumig und überaus langlebig. Olfaktorisch zeigen sich sehr typische, spelzige, getreidige Malzaromen, sowie eine holzig-herbe Würze. Etwas muffige Noten mischen sich ebenso dazu. Der weichspritzige, leicht hefige Antrunk überzeugt mit einer süßlich-herben Aromatik. Am Gaumen setzt sich die weichspritzige Haptik fort. Das schafft natürlich schon mal ein gutes Grundgefühl. Aromatisch findet man sowohl süßliche, brotige, malzige, als auch fruchtige Noten, welche zu gefallen wissen. Die süßlich-fruchtigen Noten scheinen aber auch einen leicht estrigen Ton eizuschlagen. Der überaus guten Haptik steht eine etwas gebremstere Süffigkeit gegenüber. Dennoch gut! Der Nachtrunk zeigt sich anfangs süßlich-estrig und danach fruchtig-herb.
Vorweg möchte ich festhalten, dass es sich um ein gutes Kellerbier handelt. Für meinen Geschmack wirkt es jedoch etwas zu plump und mir persönlich fehlen deutlichere Hopfenaromen, die frischere Noten ins Spiel bringen.

Kleinporige, lang anhaltende Schaumkrone eines dunkelbraunen trüben Kellerbiers. Leichter Geruch nach etwas Hopfen. Spritziger voller, hefiger Antrunk. Vollmundiger Körper, der mit leichten Röstmalznoten beginnt, die von weichen Hefe- und Roggenbrotnoten überlagert werden und in leicht sauren, sehr leicht herben mittellangen Nachhall münden. Solides, süffiges Kellerbier, das zu Gefallen weiß, ohne dabei komplex zu sein.

Slightly hazy copper color with a nice off white head. Aroma grainy with some caramel notes. Taste slightly sweet and grainy.

Pours a hazy amber/light brown colour with a large throthy off-white head. Faint aromas of caramel, grains and nuts. Taste is fairly sweet with more caramel, some brown sugar, toasty brown bread and peppery spice. Thin to medium body, fair carbonation and a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite good but a tad too sweet. i have had better Kellers.
0,5 l. Bottle. Hazy golden color with white heag. Malt aroma. Herbal, grainy and caramel taste.
500ml resealable bottle, drunk on a sweaty August evening. Clear amber, head lacing and rising carbonation. Aromas of stewed apricot, herbs old crust, some sweaty sock hints. More of the same in the mouth, simultaneously sweet and dry, more bitter than normal for the style, but both richly flavoured and perfectly refreshing. A beer for the old-school connoisseur.

Pours hazy dark copper with no head. Aroma malts, hay, grass. Taste of malts, bread, dough, butter. Low carbonation. Light bitter aftertaste.
Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy deep copper/brown pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Medium lasting, slight lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, grainy and grassy notes, light sour touch.
Light to medium body, average carbonation. Soft mouthfeel and texture, smooth and easily drinkable. Balanced taste, bitter with light sourness. Aroma of malts and grains, grass, some earthy notes. Bready, light herbal spiciness, dried fruits, hints of citrus zest. Short lasting finish, slightly dry.
Good thirst quencher.

Barva tmave medena az hneda, lehce zakalena. Pena stredne vysoka, spise min trvanliva. Vune kvasnicova, maselna. Chut sladova, nizsi horkost, trochu maslicka, trochu hutne kyselosti do chlebova. Suchy konec. Kazdopadne zajimavy kousek, takovy chleba s maslem. Nicmene favorit to asi nebude.
Bottle via HoTM. It pours clear golden - brown with a dissipating white head. The aroma is brown bread, earthy, nutty, wood, some sweetness, dried fruits and the like. The taste is fairly dry upfront, toasty grain, nutty, grass, earth, wood, dried fruits, dull caramel, berry and some leafy vibes with a dry, woody finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Almost has an English traditional ale vibe, like an ESB. Decent stuff.
Diep donker geel, bijna bruin kleurend bier. Mooie smaken van de mouten en granen. Dit geeft een verfijnde zoetige en diepe smaak. Ook is er iets te proeven van gebrande suikers en toffee. Prima bier.
From a hinge-lidded bottle in Leipzig, Germany. This bier pours a dark honey-colored almost-brown with a thin dissipating yellowish head and a good amount of stickiness on the glass. Aroma has a hint of funk. Aroma and taste of fruits, bread, caramel, and nicely sweet. Hops not so noticeable, as per style. Medium mouthfeel. Easy to drink and delicious.

Botella 0,5l Color ambar con espuma blanca, fina, alta, retencion media. Aroma malta, malta tostada, caramelo, pan negro. Sabor ligero dulzor con notas amargas al final, malta tostada, caramelo, pan negro, frutal. Equilibrada
Strong aroma of malt, hay, barnyard, yeast and dark fruits. Pours semi-transparent light brown liquid with a medium-sized soapy white head. Medium to strong sweetness, rich flavour of caramel, malt, yeast, bread, chocolate, liquorice, grapes and dark fruits. Full body, creamy texture with a smooth finish and little carbonation. Overall a very pleasant beer.

Couleur cuivre...légèrement trouble...un peu plus riche qu'une pils...bien sans explosion
BB 07 10 20. From a bottle poured a murky/clouded amber with, after a vigorous pour, 1cm of white dense foam that diminished slowly to a blotchy cap that laced OK. Carbonation low, average and coarse. Aroma moderately strong of pale malt with slight amounts of sweet dried dark fruits and an earthiness; no obvious hops. Taste is slightly of malt, sweet dried dark fruits, earthiness and hints of metal; no real bitterness; overall flavour weak bordering on bland. Light body. Smooth and clean with a thin mouthfeel and a short finish.
