Beach Bum Blonde Ale

Beach Bum Blonde Ale

Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

3.1 Decent mild fruitiness and a little graininess to it. Good blonde ale, surprised its made by In-Bev AB.
2.3 Dec. 30, 2010; 12 oz. bottle. Orange/lemon flavored summer ale. Not much aroma, and the flavor is mild. Pretty inoffensive, and could actually be a decent "lawnmower" beer.
2.2 The beer pours a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is orange citrus with some biscuit malt. Somewhat surprisingly, the beer doesn’t smell bad at all. The flavor is not as good as the smell. While I get a little bit of biscuit malt as well as some orange and pine notes, the overall flavor is very faint. The beer is very watery and has medium carbonation. There is just really not much too this beer. Not one to seek out.
2.5 On tap, pours a clear yellow color with a thin white head, aroma has a nice fruit touch with lemon and zest, the taste is overall sweet but bland and not complex, overall pretty boring.
2.6 Pours hazy yellos with lots of carbonation. Aroma and taste are citrus and grass.
3.5 12 oz bottle into English pint. Grainy, citrus powder aroma; lemony. Excellent appearance--pours a medium deep gold hue with a nice, nice rocky head and excellent lacework. Head has long retention. Taste is interesting for this dull style. There are some spice notes: cinnamon, nutmeg (?). Someone put the idea in my head that it tastes like beach sand before I started ranking and I can’t get it out of my head. It does taste a little like beach sand. WTF? Carbonation is medium to high. A little watery. This is one of the most boring styles of beer I feel, but Michelob has made this one stand out a bit from the blonde ale crowd I think. I’m always amazed when those Anheuser-Busch douchebags actually produce something with any merit. This one has some merit I think.
2.8 Nice lemon zest aroma. Clear golden, thin head, good lace. Barley malt on the front, lemon zest on the back. Decent offering from ABIB.
2.8 Clear, yellow, huge head. Definite hop aroma, but not enough hops in the taste. Slight bitterness in the finish. Kind of a macro with a bit more hops added.
2.8 Another beer AB is trying to slip under the radar. Regardless, it wasn’t all that bad. A bit boring, and perhaps a bit confused, and it is a copper colored "Blonde" ale. Cheap and easy, but I highly doubt I’ll revisit it.
1.8 Draught at Pour 24, Las Vegas, NV. Clear yellow, minimal head. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Slight notes of honey, other wise vacuum dominates until it warms slightly and stale butter takes over. Hard and fizzy, dull but somewhat drinkable.
1.5 Pale yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is light with an equally light body and flavor.
2.2 This one pours a pretty light and pale golden color. Aroma is of malts, dust, banana, and a little wheat. Flavor is of malts, bubblegum, spices, and some wheat. Leaves more of a malty wheat finish. Nothing special. Ohh yeah it’s an AB product so that makes sense.
1.8 grainy aroma, taste is of cheap sweet malt. Drank about half of it then gave it away.
1.0 A sad attempt to try to appeal to some of the craft drinkers that no longer drink AB products...
2.3 Not too bad for AB/I- they are picking their quality up in the face of true craft beer. Aroma was not much to speak of. Light golden malt with not much else going on. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was so so. Not great but not macro-level. Sweet light malt with a sugary aftertaste. No hops to speak of but I wasn’t expecting them in a macro brewed beer. This is sweet, malty, carbonated sugar water but not too bad for what it is. Nice carbonation.
2.1 Man, everytime you turn around there is another michelob beer to be tasted. Smell is sweetly hoppy. Looks like a pale lager of sorts. Taste is at first a little bitter hoppy then that fades quite rapidly. Decent amount of fizz on the palate, each sips is fizzy but fades to a flat. Seems to be a tad watery at times. Friendly light and easy going for the most part. Background slight medicinal bitterness on the finish. IMHO there are many other better blondes for the price such as Indigo Imp Blonde Bombshell, Roy Pitz Best Blonde Ale, Hoppy Liquid Sunshine Blonde Ale but its much better than koch’s golden anniversary ale.
1.8 Unfortunately, another cheap island crab shack/shrimp picking restaurant favorite, draught. Clear gold with white head. Drippy. Aroma of sweet corn and flavor. Ends with light bitterness and hint of sour pucker.
3.5 Anheuser-Busch, Inc.--Beach Bum Blonde Ale--All Malt Limited Edition Summer Seasonal Brew--2007 12 oz. Bottle. 5.40% ABV--20 IBU’s.? (3.75 / 5.0) Mild lace light head. Clear bright thin straw yellow color. Crisp mild hop front. Thin dry sweet mild fruit ester wheat spice body. Refreshing clean mild tangy hop spice end. Well made simple Macro Micro. Sampled 7/8/2007.
2.0 (12oz bottle, from Cavie) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grass, cereal, corn, and crackers. Flavor of cereal, cardboard, and light grass with mild bitterness in the finish.
2.4 de annheuser busch una birria comercial que aparenta ser un poco mas. no esta nada mal, suave y poco hoppy creo que seria una buena opcion en sibar
2.9 ( 12oz bottle) Pours pale yellow with good lacing. Nose of caramel, spicy yeast. Taste is spices, corn, crisp malt. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
2.3 Sampled from single 12-oz bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates nearly clean. Aroma of golden grain malt, some grassy hops, and a touch of green vegetable. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, a hint of grassy hops and some honey. Finish has a definite watered down corn and golden grain aftertaste with a short lived bitterness that ends with a crisp and no aftertaste. An average blonde brew overall.
3.1 A very refreshing beer, but of a poor quality. I suggest trying it once, and moving on.
1.6 Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Clear, pale gold with a foamy, white head. Poor head retention. Aroma: Very light nose. Some light biscuit notes, perhaps a bit of grain, and very light grassy hops. Flavor: Watery pale malt and a light bitterness. Surprisingly devoid of flavor. Palate: Medium carbonation with a very light mouthfeel and a short, watery finish. Overall: Buy water. It’s cheaper and has the same flavor.
2.6 A refreshing, strong ale for what is typically a weaker category. After the pour in continues mixing due to settling which provides a fresh taste
1.8 Pretty disappointed in this beer. I was expecting a refreshing summer blonde but it tasted like I was drinking a tasteless light beer. Very nice appearance but other than that it was lacking in every other category
2.1 Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a fading white head over a clear golden body. No aroma really, maybe some biscuit and grass. Taste is a bit bitter, and not much else. Bad, dry, bland!
2.3 bottle, thanks to thirdeye11, clear yellow with no foam, sweaty grain aroma, flavor of sweet corn with light finish
1.9 Light malty aroma, poured a pale golden color. Light malty flavor along with some honey? Very thin palate is typical of this type of beer. Not a very good beer, and the worst of the Michelob seasonals (which is saying a lot).
3.3 i thought this was pretty good. its all malt and a great golden color to it with dry hops. 5.4%
