3.6 pours a very pale yellow. spicy nose. taste is pronounced bitterness with some fresh fruit and hints of citrus peel. finish is grapefruit juice and pepper. fairly unique version of a pale ale for sure.
3.0 Clear golden with a medium white head. Herbal, floral and lemony aroma. Taste of spices, grass and and herbal notes.
2.9 On tap at Kick Off Sports Pub. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Herbal aroma with heather and gale. Very sweet fruity and herbal flavour, with a malty touch.
3.9 Aroma of grapefruit & green pepper. Clear golden with low white head. Heavy bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture & average carbonation.
4.1 A nice floral pale ale that is different than most with notes of lychee, juniper, rose and jasmine.
3.3 650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma is quite herbal, earthy notes, and floral hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with floral hops, earthy notes, and light spices. Bright and herbal - it all works well together.
4.0 My 3rd beau. I think we’re going somewhere here. Much more savoury. Good beer.
3.2 Keg at Manx Pub, Ottawa. Cloudy golden, mid sized creamy head. Herbal nose with heather and mild citrus. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Aromatic bitter herbs, thai basil and citrus. Mid bitter finish
3.8 Part of Beau’s B-Sides label. Pours a very large amount of foamy/bubbly white head. Has a slightly cloudy, pale golden appearance. Patchy lacing. Aromas of floral hops quite dominant as well as citrus hops, wheats and mild grains. Flavours of floral and citrus hops, some light rye notes, very mild sweetness. Also some barley malts and a bit of yeast showing. Fairly excessive carbonation. Slick, oily mouthfeel with a zesty mouthcoating finish. Really refreshing mix of hops and many organic ingredients.
4.1 Hazy medium amber pour. Aroma is fruity and floral with notes of spices. Soapy tasting hops. Very sessionable.
3.5 Bouteille. Jaune assez claire, muosse blanche.
2.2 Bottle from LCBO. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried apricot, dry earth, honeyed fig and grass. Flavour of yeast, white pepper, bread and a hint of glue on the finish. Thin to medium body with a light, oily texture. Very fizzy. I’m not sure what this beer is supposed to be. It’s a mess. I couldn’t finish it.
4.2 Pours a foggy golden topped by a thin fizzy white head showing low retention, and leaving some rare spotted lacing. Very low carbonation. The nose is both fruity and floral with strong pineapple, peaches, grapefruit and heather. Likewise for the taste, though the heather is pretty proeminent. Medium-low mouthfeel but nice palate covering bitterness. Finish is floral with a grassy shift at the end. This is one dry and refreshing fruity ale. Pretty interesting. Cheers!
3.8 Bottle from LCBO. Pours murky orange with persistent creamy white head. The aroma is very pleasantly herbal with cranberry juice. The mild herbs really mix well with the berry sourness. Tastes cranberry juice sweet upfront with herbal and berry bitter in the finish. Crisp thin carbonation, body a bit watery, finish dry. Excellent drinkability despite the domination of herbs and thickish sour berries which I think is always a tricky combination. Really lovely stuff - I’d love a chilled glassful of this while strolling in an Estonian bog in late summer - that’d be bliss!
3.6 Veiled golden color with strong subtle activity and some detritus. Creamy white 2 finger head, lasting around 15 minutes, with good legs. Aromas of citrus and rich hops. Flavors of smoky pine, lemon, orange, grapes, coriander, clove, caramel, floral and herbal spices. Highly grassy and a little woody. A little sugary with more of a sharp citrus and herbal feel. Slick medium body with prickly carbonation. Medium strength finish of moderate length, ending with a sharp hoppy, citrus, and strong piney feel on the tongue. Overall a pretty good craft that is more like an IPA than the typical APA. Good freshness and a nice taste while overly piney with lots of diacetyl.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy orange beer with a thick white head. Aroma is fruity with citrusy and papaya notes and some tea. Flavor is pale malt, light spicy notes, citrus and tea with a mild bitter finish. Medium body.
3.3 Bottled. The aroma is lagery, with vanilla and fruits. The taste is herbs, with a smooth finish.
3.4 Bouteille 600ml. Couleur orange brûlé trouble, mousse beige pâle aérienne et persistante. Arôme de papaye, pamplemousse, houblon fruité, malt, diacétyle? Goût de papaye, malt, amertume moyenne-élevée, houblon résineux. Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.
3.4 Two fingers fluffy persistent white head. Hazy gold colour. Herbaceous, citrus, light cran and almost tea like aroma. Matching flavours, a little grassy, nice balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Medium body, med carb, slight astringency.
3.3 On tap, poured into a nonic pint. Grassy, floral, and herbal aromas are immediately noticeable with an earthy baseline; very outdoorsy. Later, some light toffee and citrus pokes through. There’s a slight haze to the amber orange brew, with a white, doughy soap head that keeps moderate amount by the end and leaves some mild lace on the glass. The taste is a medium, grassy bitter with a compliment of medium sweet. The texture is oily with a soft fizz carbonation. The medium body has a profile of toffee, very subtle tart berry and citrus with a light floral spice. The finish is herbaceous and grassy with a bit of an earthy spice that leads to caramel. The aftertaste clean and herbal.
3.7 Bottle from Canada. Thanks Crystal! Points for interesting. Super floral and spicy. Not getting too much maple. Great for the style.
