Beavertown Lupuloid

Beavertown Lupuloid

Introducing the newest addition to our meticulous lineup of core range offerings, LUPULOID IPA, a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale. The most notable thing is that it is our first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!

First came the collaborations. We learned so much valuable information, and are eternally grateful to everybody who came to visit / opened their doors to us. These helped create fantastic brews in order to solidify in our minds exactly WHAT we wanted our IPA to be.

Then we turned it over to you, and introduced “The Invasion Of The Lupuloids,” as a series of waves of beers accompanied by a list of every technical detail you could want and more – by way of something similar to Top Trumps cards – every thing from yeast strains, through original / final gravity, to total hop oils per 100g listed. We felt this gave people ample info to make an informed decision, and then we listened. As feedback came in we tweaked recipes and plotted new brews, releasing another wave with the same info available, and then repeated the process. The end result was 10 IPAs, that were tweaked and adapted with the feedback we received until we were able to bring you the LUPULOID.

Laatutavaraa.
4.2 Mix assez parfait
3.0 Tap. Golden, clear, white foam. Aroma: citrus, straw, fruits, malt, sweetish. Taste: sweetish, malt, a little hay, fruits and citrus, slight bitterness, mediocre.
2.1 DLUO 18/12/2022. Metallic and resinous tastes. Very faint smell. Not interesting at all.
4.0 I have picked up this can at Amstein, St-Légier during this winter. Opening it on monday, at home, Epalinges, at night, on the balcony, just perfect. The body is yellow, grey, a bit troubled, average carbonation, white foam. An enjoyable ipa, brewed on the American way. This one is dry, mineral, malty with floral and aromatic note of hop with a flavor of tropical fruit, lychee, pineapple, bitter and citrus. The aromas are staying a long time at the mouth.
3.7 Dark yellow, clear, white foam. Mild citrusy grassy aroma. sweet, mild taste of malt, with sweet bitteness in the aftertaste, hint of butter.
4.2 Great blend of fruity notes and comforting bitterness. Really drinkable for 6+%. LUPOLOVELY
3.3 Colore dorato, limpida, schiuma abbondante, compatta e persistente. Bassa carbonazione.

Berries in flavour, red currants. Raspberries. Balancing sweetnes in aftertaste. Bread and grains. Palate: Medium-light body, average carbonation. A bit thin and slick overall palate. Nice one.
3.6 Can. Hoppy aroma and taste, citrus fruit, medium bitter. Medium body, hoppy bitter finish. Ok.
3.8 Tap @ Patricks. Slightly unclear golden body under a nice white head. Aroma is citric fruity with a lot of peach in combination with smooth malt. Taste is super soft, smooth malt, refreshing citric fruit, peach, plum and a little herbal with balancing bitterness. Medium body and nice, smooth aftertaste as well. So nice to se a regular, honest, easy drinkable, nonsense, straight forward but delicately balanced IPA again.
