Smog Rocket Smoked Porter - Thick, dark & Robust

Inspired by the Industrial Revolution and the Steam Train.

Back in those days, the Porter was the everyday toast of the working-class masses. Let’s raise a glass to the people that made Britain ’Great’.

Porter. The way it’s meant to be.

3.4 330ml. Can – Pours a clear dark black colour with a small tan head that settled. Aroma is roasted malts with some initial chocolate followed by malted bread and some smoky notes. Moderately sweet taste, mellow roasted malt, bread and chocolate flavours, some smoke and soft bitterness in a long duration.
4.1 Bebible. Sabrosa y equilibrada. Agradable, muy bien hecha. Bravo; no decepciona si buscas porter ahumada y ligera.
3.8 Heerlijk zachtr rook met n beetje espresso en gebrande mout.. in de mond wat chocola, espresso en bacon... subtiel zoet bitter... lange donkere licht rokerige afdronk.. vrij dikke body voor de alcohol... erg lekker
2.6 Average porter ..a bit weak on the mouth feel. Smokey but a touch subdued ..not really for me personally. (a bit average to be honest) nothing to write home about.
3.8 Can, 330 ml. Man, it's like smoked kebab cooked around the camp fire. It has an amazing smoked meal aroma. This is a real special porter, absolutely unique. Opaque colour, foam is not so decent, but the aroma is amazing: smoked bacon around thd camp fire, smoked meat combined with some dark chocolate. The palate is full of smokey coffee and chocolate flavours. Amazingly complex beer, very unique style, exciting porter and also a new favourite.
3.9 Very dark brown, tan head. Aroma smoky with some dark chocolate. Taste likewise, bitter, and somewhat smoky. Medium carbonation. Nice.
3.5 Torrefacta, ligeramente ahumada. Buena presencia. Cuerpo medio. Suave y equilibrada. LATA. Lote y fecha de consumo ilegibles.
3.9 Liquid is black as night, large head. Aroma of stout, little bit smoked. Medium body, little bit carbonation. Taste is bitter, smoked.
3.7 Can. Pitch black with a quickly fading light beige bubbly head. Aroma is of dark fruits, treacle, smokey. Taste is of dark chocolate, dark fruit, figs, plum, treacle, smoked malt, smokey finish. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
4.4 33cl from can bought at Real Ale. Dark coffee flavour, with a smoky sensation.
3.2 Full bodied, thick, weighty porter; the smoked sausage flavour didn't work too well with the sweetness of the chocolate for me but smoked beers generally don't go down too well with me. There's a base of a really good beer here and if you like strong smoke flavours you will love this.
3.3 Sample @ Öl- och Whiskymässan 2018, Göteborg. Pours very dark brown with a minimal off white head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel and smoke. Flavours of caramel, chocolate, citrus and smoked ham. A bit thin.
4.1 Nice can. Black beer with very good fine and long stable cappuccino head, smell is cold coffee, taste is also coffee, not too dominated, full body, very good, (I have 0.33l can with best-before 29.05.18 and batch 2060 14:52)
4.1 Pours a pitch black coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of roasted malt chocolate and smoke, with hints of coffee and tobacco. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by roasted malt, chocolate and smoke, with hints of tobacco and licorice. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and more smoke coming through. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and low carbonation. This comes with a quite well-balanced smokiness that is not too overpowering and leaves room for the other notes of chocolate, coffee and other subtle nuances. Very nice smoked Porter.
3.6 Porter profile, chocolate, mild smoke mixed with cocoa. Oil looking black color with small tan to brown head. Chocolate taste, subtle smoke is there. Oily watery mouthfeel, flat carbonation. Bacon in aftertaste. A decent smoked porter. //tap at Fakin
3.5 Puszka. Fajnie ulozony, zbalansowanyi średnio wysycony stoucik. Delikatna palonosc, czkolada i bardzo lagodna nuta torfowa w tle. Przyzwoite
3.7 Bottle. Color: Black, dense light brown head. Taste: Roasted malt, notes of coffee, hints of caramel and smoke. Moderate sweet, decent bitterness. Medium body, below average carbonation. Pretty long bittery finish. Smooth. A nice traditional English porter.
