1.4 On draught, gives an oddly dry texture that fizzles away in the mouth, leaving you thirstier than when you started. Bottles taste like any other mass market lager. Headache inducing stuff.
1.3 Koncernowy lager iak wiele innych. Aromatem I smakiem nie powala. Chmielu tez ciezko sie doszukac ale schlodzony jest calkiem znosny.
1.5 Tap @ Generator, London - UK. Color: clear golden blond beer with high carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: well... Taste: light body with malt taste, caramel... Nothing else. Aftertaste: ...
2.3 Mediocre lager. Tried on draught and in a can around the launch and since. The 4% is a gimmick for InBev to pay less tax. Pours golden with a decent head. Taste is hoppy, but not as skunky as normal Becks, the finish is slightly malty with some cardboard notes. OK at a party, BBQ or Bar Mitzvah, but not worth bothering with otherwise.
2.1 Pint on tap at the Kings Arms in Cookham. Pours pale yellow with a small but lasting white head. Aroma is grain and skunk. Taste is light sweet, water, corn. Not great.
2.8 Draft at Hotel bar, Marriott, London. Clear gold with a really nice, creamy, lasting head. Pale malts and grass, finishes fairly bitter. Not much going on here, but it is crisp and clean. Good for a hot day chugger.
2.6 Historic rating, draft at Fat Cat, Ipswich. Pours light gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of light hop. Light bitterness and sweetness. Crisp, light body. Prefer this to regular Beck’s.
2.3 Keg at Poundpub, Leek. A clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, cereal, subtle banana and a hint of grassy hops. Taste of grain, cereal, subtle banana, a little metal and very subtle grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A short, grainy bitterness in the finish. Not a bad lager, just really boring. Surprisingly smooth though.
1.7 Keg at Edmunds Brewhouse; clear golden yellow pour with a creamy white head, aroma has grass, taste has some grass, light malts.
2.3 Glass on tap. Small white layer, light clear color. Aroma is wort, grass, malt. Taste is quite sweet with quite a lot of malt and wort.
2.3 KEg. Old note. Pours pale yellow. Nose and taste are basic pale lager with light grain, metallic notes, watery, high carbonation.
0.5 This is the only lager in my village, if all the bottles are gone then I suffer a pint of this rancid tipple
1.6 Pours clear yellow with low white head. Aroma of light citrus and malt. Taste is bland and watery, light malty finish. Light, smooth body with average carbonation.
2.5 Can. Pours pale yellow with medium sized foamy white head, high carbonation, yeasty aroma, thin body, very little hops taste, abrupt finish. Not sure how it’s different from the regular Beck’s.
3.1 Drinking from tab. Berries in the aroma. The clear yellow beer has a small white head. Cherries, berries in thetaste, a bit wry. Medium carbonated
1.5 Oh dear. Beer for people who find beer challenging. Pat Boone’s version of "Tutti Frutti" springs to mind. Pale, sickly, too weak to defend itself. Why did I drink it? ’Cos it was there AFTER A PARTY This will not do, I need to prune my friends.
2.2 On tap at The Last Post, Guernsey (in August 2014). ABV is 4%. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Some grassy notes in the aroma. Fairly bland flavour, but crisp and dry and unoffensive. A little hops in the finish.
1.8 Can from Tesco. Clear Yellow, small 1 finger head. Slightly Skunky, with generic lager taste, faint grassy hops with touches of pine. Not great, not bad.
2.0 Keg @Le Balzar, Stansted Airport. 18-08-2014. Mainstream lager, bright gold, crispy. Sweet aromas and flavours. Tasteless, very poor.
1.7 275ml bottle from Morrison’s Supermarker, Glasgow: Very light with some corn & skunk, there was some adjuncts as well & faint grassy hops. Some bitterness comes through but like the rest this is light as well, bordering on weak. Light amber to golden, a 1cm bubbly white head that disappeared completely after 20 seconds. Grassy hops & a light bitterness, there was faint skunk & a few lager type malts & adjuncts. A bland & weak tasting beer that didn’t taste great at all. Light bodied with a grainy feel to it, particularly towards the end of the beer & some chewy patches throughout. The body was very light & watery with some faint bitterness & slightly above average carbonation. A fairly poor beer from Beck’s, although to be honest I wasn’t really expecting much more for it in truth. The beer was far too weak & light which made it a drag to work my way down, it wasn’t even good for a macro pale lager either & it’s not one I’ll be picking up again.
2.0 Can - yellow, malty and grassy. Watery and slightly bitter. Light body and high carbonation. I got it because it was cheap, didn’t really think much about it.
1.8 Draft at a London hotel. Had no other unrated choices so I made this one. About what I expected.
2.0 Clear yellow appearance, medium low head. Sweet, lightly hoppy, grassy aromas. Watery but refreshing. Average Pale Lager.
3.1 Keg : this is ok for just drinking fast and not thinking too much about it ! It has a kinda leafy hop flavour and dryness similar to proper/better German pils’.
2.0 A good medium range lager . cant go wrong when your out with a few of these!
1.9 Pint at O2 Arena. Mild aroma. Cereal and bread dough. Clean pale golden yellow color no head or lace. Sweet flavor. Light body, thin lifeless mouthfeel, Mild sweet finish. Wow that’s bad. But selection at O2 inside appears poor As all I could fin was this, Stela, Bud. And Strongbow cider.
2.0 On tap at 02 Arena, Nth Greenwich, London. A light golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Vague hoppy, metallic aroma and taste. There was not much else available which is why I ended up supping this!
1.3 Pint from random pub. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma is light and almost nonexistent. Taste is very watery.
0.8 Quite an anemic looking lager with a chemical aroma. Tastes a bit like cardboard. Won't be having this again. Fodder.
1.8 Tap. Pours clear gold with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is corn and Pils malt, light earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is sweet corn and Pils malt dominant with light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and carbonation.
