Beer Here Farligwine

Beer Here Farligwine

Danish: Farlig letdrikkelig barleywine vi frigiver alt for ung for typen. Men da vi hos Beerhere ingen respekt har for ungdommen gør vi det alligevel. Heftig humleprofil præget af nyslået græs, grapefrugt og gran suppleret af en mørk maltpræget krop balanceret af tør finish med varmende alkohol.

3.8 Murky brown with floating sediments. Frothy light beige head. Hoppy aroma with dried fruit, caramel and yeasty notes. Smooth, thick mouthfeel. Flavour has more dried fruit, caramel and well balanced bitterness and warming alcohol. Long lasting, lightly boozy, slightly rough and sticky aftertaste. Very drinkable and I can see why this could be farlig.
4.1 Bottle at Örebro Ölcafé. Fruity and malty smell with dried fruit and leather Similar taste, malty and sweet. Not overly boozy besides the high ABV.
3.6 A nice and hoppy smell with a caramel touch. The taste is sweet with lots of grapefruit on top. Very long bitterness. Very good, hoppy barley wine.
2.9 At cellar temperature and into a snifter. Holds up a resilient off-white head of foam; dense and compact with good legs. Body is a brilliant, deep, dull, amber brown with little to no evident carbonation. The nose is predominantly musty, cellar dank but also hints at marmalade, moss rock, damp weeds, over-ripe grapefruit and stewed apple - but is overall very soft and subdued. On the palate it is yeasty, spicy and boozy not withholding that 11.0% ABV with any ease. Sweet, malty and savoury fruit front then drying out and becoming quite vinous, fortified - like a pale stonefruit wine with inklings of the seeds in there. The spice is heavy. there is notes of mace and nutmeg, pepperberry, sumac and light clove - weird as I’m guessing none of these were added. Body is shy of medium with very soft carbonation and an oily finish. Length is like the aroma - subdued, but there is plenty of bready yeast in there. Not exciting to drink. 3.9 Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Friday 23rd January 2015 Pours a rather muddy grubby brown with a fine sediment, it looks really muddy. Hoppy nose and a hoppy mouth, some pine resin in mouth, quite thick bittersweet beer a goodly dash of grapefruit some warmth from alcohol. Quite a dry finish, a beauty. A7 A3 T9 P4 Ov16 3.9

3.5 33 cl bottle. Pours dark hazy mahogay color with a medium head leaving a nice lacing. Lots of rye and grains on the nose, also lots of resin with mild hops, subtle sweet caramel and some syrupy notes, mild wood there also. Very sweet and fruity flavor, mild malty bitter kick right from the start, some caramel, molasses and sugar. Alcohol warms a bit at the end. Good. 4424
3.8 Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong light brown and frothy head. The aroma is well hopped, and the flavour is very malty and roasted with plenty of hops and bitterness. Overall a good very strongly flavoured and alc % beer.
3.0 Caramel and marmelade aroma, not as complex as expected from a barley wine. Taste is unbalanced towards the bitter end, need more maltiness and more complex maltiness. Also a bit alcoholic taste in the finish. Dissapointed in this one, expected more,
3.1 Bottle 33 cl from barleywine in CPH. Brown with hints of orange. Fudge, orange marmelade, some bitterness, typical barleywine notes, alcohol.
3.2 Smell of straw, raisins. Muddy dark brown colour, very high beige head. Aroma of alcohol, hops, raisins, oak. Sweet. Mid-flat carbon.
4.0 Bottle, only 9,5 % alcohol according to label, BBF 20.04.12. Hazy dark amber with beige head. Aroma of figs, dates, raisins and caramel. Some resin as well. Flavour is sweet and malty with notes of dark and dried fruit, alcohol and a good bitter finish. Aging did this beer well, very smooth and true to style. Don’t think I ever did the 11%, but I’ll get one and save it as well.

3.9 Barwa: rubinowa, delikatnie zmętniona (po dolaniu zdecydowanie bardziej). Piana ecru, drobno pęcherzykowa, obfita, długo otrzymująca się i ładnie oblepiająca szkło. Ideał. [5/5] Aromat: karmel, owoce (gruszka z ananasem), zioła oraz alkohol. Przyjemny balans. Smak: zdecydowanie pełny, początkowo słodowy (karmel) i dosyć słodki.
3.1 How: Draught. Where: SBWF 2014. Appearance: Hazy brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma: Sweet, worth, malt, raisin. Body: Full body, medium carbonation. Flavour: Liquorice, malt, caramel.
4.2 Bottle from Vinspecialisten Aalborg shared with Carsten Dark copper/amber, creamy beige head. Smell of citrus, grapefruit, bread, toffee, hints of toast and chocolate. Heavy sweet, dark fruits, dark malts, toast, citrus peel, complex and heavy. Heavy bitter tail, resins, zests and dark fruits. A super duper barleywine. It’s heavy, full bodied, has complex malt flavors supplemented with rich hop aromas and flavors. I think this must be the best beer Beer Here has made.
3.8 (bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, murky brown colour with a beige, medium-sized foamy head. Piney and spicy hoppy aroma with fruity notes of grapefruits and pineapples, backed by dark and mildly nutty malt. Bitter-sweet flavour, quite full bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderately dark malt character, almost overpowered by drying resiny/piney and subtle fruity hops; lasting and rounded bitter-sweet nutty malty and spicy resiny hoppy finish with a well-covered but still warming alcoholic strength. A very good hop-accented Barley Wine. 29.IX.14
3.6 A dark brown beer with a medium and beige head. The nose is quite sweet, caramel, pine forest, some raisins, sweet berries, hint of warm alcohol. Complex and good aroma. Taste is dryer than aroma, bread, strong herbs, some dried fruits. Surprisingly light, only medium bodied. Aroma and taste are not balanced. Great aroma is the best part of this beer.
3.4 Cloudy dark orange, light filmy white head and crust ringed head. Bullish gummy pineapple. Stewed clementine. Passing by sweetly for the ABV, not too sticky until the linger. Busy finish, brassy bitterness and the booziness coming through. Bottle from Cheers to All My Vinyl and Stu66666666666, Beers Of My Youth Tasting

3.5 33 cl bottle (11%) @ home, BBE 16.04.2015 Aroma has toffee, caramel and some floral tones. Also hints of butter and grain. Flavour has butter, some caramel and toffee. Also some grassy hops. Sweet and a bit harsh, but not bad. Not your typical BW.
3.5 330ml bottle from Bier-Deluxe BBE 16/04/15 - Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth head. Aroma of floral hops, berries, caramely malts, toffee and syrup. Taste is sweet, sugary, floral hoppy and grassy with loads of syrup, caramel and toffee. Finish is sweet, grassy and floral with some syrup, caramel and toffee notes. Quite strange, very sweet and floral barley wine.
