Beer Here Hoptilicus

Beer Here Hoptilicus

Geschmack röstmalzig, fruchtig hopfig, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch.
3.6 Bottle to glass. Pours a murky deep amber ruddy brown color with a frothy light brown head. Aroma is mostly caramel malts, molasses, bourbony, boozy. Flavor is caramel malts and booze. Not much hop profile found anywhere in the beer, but it may not be the freshest. Medium in body with a lingering sweet boozy character. Solid strong ale.
3.2 From bottle to tulip. Massive grain, moderate wet grass and alcohol. Slight floral. Very hazy copper with off white head that leaves a ring and slight lacing. Old fruit and caramel. Moderate low bitterness with an astringent finish.
3.9 Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours very hazy dark amber with a creamy beige/tan head. Lots of hop and some fairly roasty malt for aroma. Hop is sort of earthy. Med body. Flavor is earthy with roasty malt. Medium dark fruits. Seems to be a lot of hop, but it’s not extremely bitter - there is a mild hop burn. Unless that’s heat. In the mouth, but not the gullet, so hop. With time the aroma seems to become a bit oxidized. But the earthy flavor hides any oxidation for me.
4.3 A real dark hazelnut brown pour with a head that never ever goes away, this is surely a brew to be taken seriously. That oh so staggering odor of Chinook hops hits you right away. The balance is the winner here, and even though this is one hoppy motherfucker, the sweet blackened malts makes it more than drinkable at any given time of day. You won’t even notice the strength of this brew.. Not in the taste anyway. Sure if you down three of these in a row you are bound to get knocked off your feet. Almost what I would call perfection in this genre of beer. Very, very good job ’Beer Here’
Bra fyllighet i kroppen. Lätt kolsyrad till perfektion.
3.7 Cloudy red brown pour, big hop aroma, lots of malty sweetness, caramel, brown sugar, smells a lot like double bastard. Taste - raisins, brown sugar, big and hoppy with a smooth semi bitter finish. Nice stuff, but not quite as good as the aroma had me thinking it was going to be.
4.0 Pours a pretty cloudy muddy brownish copper with an average off white head and a bit of little lace. Aroma is sweet candy like, grapefruit, tropical fruits and earthy. Flavour is sweet citrus, grapefruit, residual sugar, medium-high bitterness, other fruity esters, earthy, a decent malty backbone and faint alcohol.
4.2 About to watch the penguins decapitate the oilers. Murky drk blood orange look with a thick ass tan head and 100% glued on lacing. Quick nose - neck is in bad shape so this is pretty much chug time. Peach candy, thick caramel, grapefruit, lemon and earth - nice! I really love this tasty brew as it’s brutally bitter right from the first sip. This is a rich beer once it warms and you get past the hop assault. Pine, unsweetened grapefruit, light spicy pepper (not really pepper), peach, solid caramel, hella bitter. Love beer like this. Sweet finish with nasty bitter mouth. The edmonton AHL/NHL team is doing what it does..... Bottom 1/3 of the bottle is amazing - balanced while being everywhere at the same time. All the flavour qualities have been amplified. This is cray cray, bitches. Earthy, light boose, thicker than ever, bigger fruit, just spectacular. Intense experience. Succulent. Planning on buying a shitload to see if my interest holds up.
2.7 Pours reddish brown, frothy head. Aroma of caramel, malt, sugars, sick, citrus peel. Taste is a bit weird, it’s a mix of a sweet dark Belgian beer and a IPA that isn’t super hoppy. I didn’t really like it, too sweet, too odd, to mixed, too meh. I drank it........
3.2 Bottle - Leafy hops with a nice caramel malt backbone. Cloudy copper with a huge beige head. I get a bit of resin and cardboard, which for such a high ABV beer is a bit odd. I would think it stands up better to a little age if it is not fresh. Bitterness is up front with the malty sweetness following. Pretty disjointed, much better beers in this space.
3.9 500ml brown bottle. Dark orange-brown pour, hazy. Full white cap, creamy, a ton of lace. Nose has caramel, toffee, orange peel and candied citrus and general fruitiness. Taste has caramel and toffee malt base, grapefruit and orangey hops on top. Finish has some bitterness, good balance with the sweet and chewy malts. Citrus and pine aftertaste, and some dryness. Medium bodied with ok carbonation. Pleasant strong ale, the 9% abv blends in here seamlessly, really easy to drink for a big beer. Been having good luck with Beer Here brews lately, good stuff.
3.8 A dark brown body with a huge off white head that plumes atop the glass leaving tons of lacing splotches on the tulip glass. The nose has big tropical fruit notes with a few grapefruit hops notes and cereal grains. A medium body on the palate with a lovely mild malt flavor. The finish is hop heavy and a bit boozy with lingering pine and mild citrus bitterness.
3.9 500ml bottle pours brownish color with a 2 and a half finger off-white head that leaves some really nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is tropical fruits and grapefruit with some cereal grains. Taste is a tropical fruity and malty sweetness with a pink grapefruit and piney hop bitterness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. A lovely tasting ale that I would classify as a DIPA and highly recommend others to give it a try.
3.5 500ml bottle from The Bayou Cloudy dark amber with a medium sized beige head and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of caramel, dusty and pine resin. Flavors of caramel, piney and sweet malts Decent, it was sweet but the hops helped balanced it out.
3.7 Shared a 500 ml bottle with my wife. The aroma is pine, citrus, caramel. The flavor is sugary, resinous, pine, citrus, dank hops. Hint of chocolate and toffee in the finish. Very tasty, a bit boozy.
3.9 @ Ölprovning i Klippan 18/10.
3.9 Dark ruby body with small, creamy, tan head. Aroma has oak, pine, dark fruits. Taste is bitter upfront with balanced dark-honey malty sweetness. Body is full with low carbonation.
3.0 Cloudy, deep brown with a large yellow-tan head. Bready, malty aroma. Caramel, dark bread.... Leafy, piney bitter....tea.. A little rough.
3.8 (tap 0,3l @ OP (Brno)) Nutty, biscuits, sweet, interesting, mostly malty aroma. Cloudy brown color. Medium light brown head. Medium sweet, medium bitter, some dried fruits taste. Full body. Alcohol warm, bitter finish.
3.4 Bottle. Pours dark orange, brown muddy. Murky barley wine "old-malty": dark bread, a bit of raisins.Caramel, hoppy citrus and pine. Full bodied, well bittered. Some malty sweetness, piny hops and a slightly dry dusty finish. Funny label.
3.9 Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a rocky, tanned head. Sweet and bitter with hoppy aromas of spruce and some citric hops. Also aromas of caramel malts and hints of toasted malts. Quite fruity. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Hoppy, very bitter finish.
3.5 16.9oz bottle, sampled at Party Source. Mostly hazy amber brown color. Thin khaki head. Dots of lace. I was told that this was a black IPA, so I was surprised to see how light colored it is. Good earthy spicy hop in the nose. Some citrus. Medium body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good, bigger bitter taste, minimal sweet. Doesn’t really seem like a black IPA, just a darker IPA. Solid, though.
4.0 Geruch Grapefruit, Zitrus, Mango, Röstnoten. Antrunk süßlich, Zitrus. Mitte Malztöne, röstig, grapefruitbitter. Abgang röstig, Zitrus und leicht alkoholisch. Sehr gut.
3.3 Bottle, pours a murky dark brown with a lasting thin fine white head. Green hops, gravy, a touch of caramel and a little old wood on the nose. Resin and citrus notes on the palate, followed by a light toffee sweetness then a dry bitter green hoppiness leads to a bitter and almost acrid woody finish. Fascinating stuff.
3.8 Bottle pour. Pours a murky copper with a white head. Aroma is pine and graham crackers. Sweet overall for an IPA.
4.0 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy dark brown colour, huge off-white head. The aroma has pleasant notes of citric and piney hops, on a background of malts, a little caramel and brown sugar, even a hint of oak. The flavour has distinct hoppy notes, more piney than fruity, with a moderate but nice sweetness of malts, again with hints of caramel and brown sugar. A firm bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. The mouthfeel has some warmth from the alcohol. Well done, Christian!
3.9 500 ml bottle. Deep orange with white head. Aroma intense; pine, citrus, tropical fruits and massive caramel. Taste follows, nice blend of caramel dominated malt and fruity american hops. Fairly high bitterness, pleasant
