Beer Here Kremlin Crude

Beer Here Kremlin Crude

A decadent stout, inspired by the special British ales exported to the Russian Court, during the 18th century. It is black and viscous like crude oil from the oil fields in the Caspian Sea. The flavor is dominated by dark notes of burnt sugar, spicy hops and smokiness from peaked malt.

Unpasteurized * Unfiltered * Bottle-conditioned.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, hops, yeast.

3.6 Bottle. Deep brown color with a medium thick frothy beige head. Aroma of licorice, peat and smoke. Sweet and medium bitter taste. Medium to full body. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.1 Black red, beige head, aroma of coffee, dark bread, honey, caramel, flavor of coffee, yeast, sourness, alcohol, medium bodied.
3.9 33cl bottle. Fast klare schwarze Farbe, mittelgroße bräunliche schaumkrone. Geruch süß röstmalzig, schokoladig, Melasse. Geschmack süß kräftig malzig, Karamell, schokoladig, Melasse, leicht alkoholisch, gut!
3.6 Bottle. The beer has got a deep black colour with a big, steady mocha head and a smooth body. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Taste of coffee, plums, malt, bitter chocolate, woods and oak. Bitter finish.
4.3 Obfita, beżowa i drobna piana, trwała, z niewielkim lejsingiem. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta, z brązowymi refleksami. W aromacie nuty porto, czekolady, rumu, kawy i lukrecji, może nawet delikatna wanilia. W smaku słodko, treściwie - sporo czekolady, karmelu, kawy, syropu klonowego, lukrecji i posmaków utlenienia (porto, sherry, miód spadziowy, wanilia).
4.4 Another bottle picked up in Dresden. Consumed during the great blackout. Fortunatly, this badboy doesn’t need refrigerating so made its way to the front of the queue. Pours Oily Black with a thin tan head. Inky. Massive flavour bomb. Burnt toast, licorice, booze and heavy yet smooth malt character. This is my kind of imperial stout. Something to sit take your time with.
3.5 Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of licorice, burned sugar and malt. Thick sweet taste of licorice, burned sugar, coffee and malt. Nice thick body, but a bit too much licorice.
3.7 330 ml bottle from Cru in Brisbane. Drank at home. Pours black with medium tan head. Mild chocolate aroma. Robust flavours of toasted malt, chocolate, and maybe slight anise. Very enjoyable and I would buy again.
4.2 Black body, light brown head. Aroma has plums, figs, rich molasses, some medicinal hops. Flavour has rich caramel and some deep coffee with dark fruits. One of the best ones I’ve had for a while. Barkeep said they aged this keg for some time because it was too sweet. Still has sweetness but not too much. When it warms liquorice comes through. Bit salty somehow. Can’t just stop getting new things from this one.
3.9 From 0,33l bottle in pint glass: Pours black oily, haze, with foamy/creamy stable light brown/beige head. Visually low carbonation. Aroma: rich dark roasted malts aroma, which takes in bittersweet chocolate, coffee, hint of peat, licorice. Very similar are flavors: dominate malt flavors, which takes on coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, hint of peat, mint, supported with hop flavors, with notes of some dark fruits, Pine and citruses. Finish is slightly bitter/dry and lingers long in aftertaste. Body is full, texture is soft, carbonation is low. Alcohol warmth is noticeable. On dorsal side of label is writen 11% abv.
4.0 Aroma of licorice, chocolate, coffee and slight roasted caramel. Pitch black colour, light brown and one finger head. Well balanced between sweetness and coffee / hoppy bitterness. Medium full body, pretty thick, soft carbonation and roasted coffee / toffee finish. Good straight up imperial stout.
4.0 Bottle. Almost black, coffee foam. Aroma: sweet, dried fruit and raisins, wine, roasted. Taste: sweet, caramel, roastet, warming.
4.3 Bottle at home. Three years old. The color is black and with a small light brown head. Aroma roasted malt, coffee beans, smoke, alcohol and leather. Flavor with more ash, coffee beans, smoked malt and leather. Has a slick mouth feel, full-bodied and a light. A solid IS with a nice smokey touch.
4.3 16.9 ounce bottle, no dating that I could find on the bottle or label. Served in a Great Lakes brewing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a couple inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like peaty smoke, burnt/charred malt, coffee and some bittersweet chocolate. The taste is mostly like the aroma, but there’s also some molasses, licorice and dark fruitiness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this a lot, and I’d buy this again the next time I come across a bottle. It’s full of smoky, peaty and burnt/charred flavors, and that’s always a plus for me! $11.99 a bottle.
3.8 Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is roasted , chocolate, taste is sweet chocolate, light liquorice, toffee.
3.7 0.33l bottle. Black body, light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, reisins and dark fruits with a subtle smokiness. Taste of chocolate, smoke, plums, floral hops and caramel. Medium bodied, the alcohol is well hidden. Nice beer.
3.3 650. Pours jet black with a thin dense and creamy dark tan head. Big sweet nose, showing prunes and soy sauce. Creamy thick body with sluggish carb. Anise, prunes, soy, and ash on the mid palate. Long ashy finish.
3.7 Pours pitch black with small head. Aroma: roasty, malty, raisins, coffee with milk aroma. Taste: nice roastiness, malty but not too sweet, countered by hoppy bitterness. Nice warming palate. Great representative of the style.
3.4 Bottle pours out almost black topped with a ring of brown bubbles. Nose is roast malts some ashtray smoke notes and plenty sweetness. Taste is more of the roast malts heavy sweetness and a light smoke.
3.6 Bottle. Oily black pour with things head of tan tight bubbles. Aroma is really roasty, almost burnt. Flavors are also burned chocolate and black licorice. Certainly intense and powerful. Body is full and warming.
3.8 Bottle shared by JB. All black body with a medium sized beige head. Strong licorice aroma with plenty of roasted malt, light smoked, some fruits. taste of dark chocolate, fruits, roasted malt, medium sweetness, crisp and roasted finish, leading to a dry coffee aftertaste. The alcohol was hidden well. Thanks for sharing JB.
3.4 Can’t believe they stashed 10% booze in this, totally hidden. Clear, can see red orange highlights, tan head. Lots of licorice in the nose, some in the taste, along with cola. A bit thin, and not much going on compared to some Imperial Stouts, but tasty nonetheless.
3.1 Bottle: Near black in color with a small ring of brown head. Sweet aroma of chocolate and dark pitted fruit, a little smoke. Taste is too sweet for my taste with a little more smoke coming through. Strong fruity sweetness and sugary. Boozy.
3.8 bread, caramel, smoke, woody, black, rocky head, very bitter, full body, oily feel,
2.2 No słabizna! Alkoholowy finisz. Brakuje ciała, treści... Wyraźnie wadliwe piwo.
4.4 In Portland, Saturday June 25, 2015. Black color, brown head. Sweet, roasted, rich taste. Sweet, rich aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Sweet, malty, rich scent.
3.6 Ładny aromat - karmel, likier, suszone owoce. mocno palony. Wysycenie średnie, mogłoby być niższe, by uwypuklić aksamitność. Dobry, solidny RIS.
3.8 33 cl. bottle. Black with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, chocolate, caramel and dried fruit.
