3.9 Large bottle that looks more than 500ml, but is 500ml. From trade with Jaaapppppp! Pours hazy amber, cream / off white head. Aroma bears much of the pine citruc characteristics of the hops mentioned. Taste is similarly piney, fairly sweet, big west coast hop character. For the style it spot on
3.3 Bottle. Thanks to Japppp. Dark amber body with offenbar white head. Aroma is fruits pines. Taste is nearly the same but some citrus and more fruits and some caramel. Aftertaste is nice balanced
3.6 Hazy dark amber, rich foam. Candy sugar and rhubarb aroma. Fruity, rich taste with distinct bitterness.
3.0 Raskas, joku tässä menee vähän yli...
3.5 Tuoksu on sitruksinen, pihkainen ja katkera. Maussa on edelleen sitrusta, humalaa ja pihkaa. Ehkä pientä makeutta havaittavissa. Loppu on selvästi kuiva. Arvosteltu pullo ei ehkä täysin tuore, mikä on saattanut vaikuttaa makuun. Silti hyvä ipa.
3.4 Orange to copper color. Toffee, malts, butter and plenty of citrus on the nose. Quite strong aroma of basil as well, somewhere between pleasant and off-putting. Taste is very malty, some citrus and finishes with grapefruit. Palate is bitter and carbonation low. Pretty straightforward. Solid, but one would think that with these ingredients more could be accomplished. Nice malty almost-DIPA anyway.
3.4 500mml. bottle as part of the European Local Swap 1/2018, many thanks to rosenbergh for this one! Tasted on the 13/03/2018 at home. Deep orange colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of pine, citrus, floral hops, grass and caramel. Taste is citrus and hoppy with sweet malts and toffee background. Finish is dry and bitter. Next one please!
3.5 Bottle, courtesy of my Secret Santa 2017, japppp. Thanks Jussi! Bubbly, medium tan head on a red amber body. Aroma of strawberries, spring onion, caramel, orange zest, pine, resin, spring onion. Starts with medium sweetness, turns pleasantly bitter. Finish is more dry, a bit dusty and herbal. Medium body with soft carbonation. Quite dark for on IPA, darker than some Amber Ales I've seen. An unusual beer, fairly complex and very pleasant, although quite malty. Maybe fresher bottles are a bit fruitier? Nice either way.
4.3 Very nice old school fruity fresh ipa. (5 months to bb date)
3.9 50cl Bottle, tfs Harmen! Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of oranges, sugar, mandarin, orange zest, floral. Flavour of marmalade, oranges, light sugary, orange peel, really bitter, earthy, firm bitter finish that lingers. Medium to full bodied. Could pass as a barley wine, feels a lot thicker and chewier than ABV indicates.
3.8 Bottle 50 cl. Orange, hazy with a medium offwhite head. Hops and floral aroma. Bitter taste with a good dry hop end.
3.7 0,5 litre Bottle from Alko. Dark orange with smal offwhite head. Bitter, not Too bad.
3.7 Bottle. Amber color with lacing off-white head. Aroma has citrus, sweet malt, apricot. Taste is malty with long a bit sweet and bitter aftertaste. Flavors of malt, pine, needles, grapefruit and mandarin.
3.5 500 ml bottle from Alko. Clear orange with white head. Pine, resin, citrus, grass and light caramel. Dry with high bitterness and medium carbonation. I think the beer I got from Alko was not super fresh, still long before expiring date, but this would have benefited from being fresher.
3.7 Shared 500 ml bottle, from Alko Karigasniemi. Deep orange colour, white head. Strong aroma of fruity and piney American hops. The flavour is slightly on the dry side, with decent American hops throughout. Bitter finish. A good IPA.
3.4 Shared bottle at RB/HD at Tau 15.06.17. Haxy, dark orange. Beige head. Aroma of pine shoots, citrus and dried tropical fruits. Similar taste, combined with caramel malt.
3.6 Shared bottle at RBHD tasting. Pours hazy deep golden with a small white head. Aroma is nice US hops. Taste is light sweet malts, exotic dry fruits, good bitter, long lasting and and a very good beer to finish a great tasting.
4.0 Aroma of caramel, faint citrus and pine. Taste is very similar, added with mild herbal, earthy notes. Very balanced and great IPA.
4.1 caramel, resin, citrus, amber, clear, minimal head, heavy cloying sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, full body, creamy, average carbonation, long finish, best price for a high standard beer
3.6 Bought a 0,5L bottle at the local liquor store in Säkylä. Appearance: light ruby colored beer, with a nice white head. Smell: citrus, hops and caramel malts. Taste: very hoppy, but also sweet toffee and malt on the back ground. Very interesting for IPA / hop lovers to experiment with 5 different hops. The only thing that makes me doubt to buy it again, is the price. Otherwise, a very nice beer.
4.1 [2016-10-22] Dark-brown or mahogany in colour. Plenty of citrus. Very well balanced and enjoyable.
3.9 Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet and sour with a hint of orange. Taste is strong, I mean really strong hops and bitter. Quite dry palate and long finish. Really nice but too much hops for my taste.
3.9 0,5l bottle. Nose: piny floral and resiny hops. Some alcohol. Taste: fresh pinyness, followed by bitterness and some alcohol. A lot of flavors going on.
2.9 Aroma; hops, resin, citrus, leaves, herbs, malts behind. Look; vanilla fawn big head, rose copper clear body. Taste; resin, hops, citric wooden leaves, faint malts - and finishes resiny fruity hoppy. Feel; solid body, soft co2. Overall; somewhat heavy to drink. [50cl.btl 7.0% 10/16#254 B@Alko Oulu Fi]
3.8 0,5l bottle from Alko. Pours brown colour with lots of head. Aroma of pine, malts, citrus, hops, caramel. Mediumish body, quite bitter but balanced, soft aftertaste. A bit stale so not the freshest batch.
Voimakas tuoksu on ennen kaikkea hyökkäävän havuinen/havunneulamainen. Lisäksi vahvasti humaloidussa tuoksussa on eksoottista hedelmäisyyttä. Hieno kokonaisuus!
3.8 Bottle from Alko. Pours hazy dark orange color with small slight tan head. Aroma and taste have hops, malts, floral notes, grapefruit, citrus and pine. Very good IPA. This was a great choice for International IPA day 2016!
3.4 Duft frisk lidt appelsin lime smag citrus appelsin bitter kant af malt lidt kara lidt juice
3.7 Bottle from EuroSwap 2/16 by rosenbergh, many thanks! Pours a brownish-amber color with a big creamy eggshell head. Aroma is piney, toffee, caramel malt, peach, grapefruit, some walnuts. Taste is peach, physalis, starfruit, walnut, and a nice caramely and toffee-like malt base. A little bit boozy in the finish, with a walnutty/fennel/medicinal bitterness (not a 4 in palate because I don’t really like walnuts and fennel). Some spiciness comes along with the beer as well. Soft oily mouthfeel, a bit chewy even. Low carbonation. A very interesting combination! Would have expected this to be way more standard.
