3.8Can. Blackish coloured beer with a strong brown coloured smooth foamy head. The aroma is lightly roasted with some milkyness, and the flavour is quite strongly coffee roasted with a milky and bitter finish. Overall a nice strong stout.
3.9Can (E.D. #126): As black as expected, small persistent tanned foamy layer, rich nose sweet-bitter of liquorice, dark to toasted malt and dried berries; solid sweet bitter flavour, full bodied, silky MF; lingering sweet and mildly bitter finish, same flavours as in the aroma plus a mild and warming alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. A very pleasant winter-warmer...
3.5Nu gillar jag ju imperial 😉
3.7On tap at Christian Firtal. Black with a small off-white head. Roasted aroma with licorice, chocolate and soy sauce. Sweet roasted flavour with licorice in particular.
3.7Can from Speciaalbier Café De Markies, Leeuwarden. Aroma is roasted malt with chocolate, coffee, liquorice, and espresso. Moderate sweet flavour, roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Good basic Imperial Stout, roasty, some liquorice. Expected a bit more, but good.
3.7Tap at Woodworkers. Dark black pour small head. Nose is chocolate and roasty. Tastes of plum, chocolate, soy sauce, roast and char. Smoky finish. Smooth palate. Not too sweet and quite smooth.
3.2Nothing wrong with this one. But not really exciting either
Very mild and easy drinkable impy
Well balanced sweetness and a well masked alcohol level
Dangerously easy drinkable
But felt actually a bit thin.
Chocolate and dark malt dominated beer
[Can from Systembolaget Nordstan in Gothenburg, Sweden]
4.2Nez: Chocolat noir, fruits à coque, fruits secs
Bouche: Chocolat noir, pruneau, noisette, vanille, épicée, alcool
4.0Wow. Øl fra øverste hylde. Masser af fylde og bitterhed. God aroma. Velsmagende
4.3Tap@Erlings Jazz Bar, Aarhus. Pours opaque black with creamy chocolate brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, espresso, vanilla, soy sauce, cream and coconut. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is creamy with faint carbonation. Finish is long and rich with sweet notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, coconut and faint salty and umami hints of soy sauce. Excellent
3.7Can 330ml (Beergium)
Dark brown colour, small beige head. Roasted, wood, cocoa aroma. Full-bodied. Smooth, roasted flavour with cocoa and bitterness. Some sweetness too. Balanced.
3.9Another imperial stout from the shelf in Systembolaget and another positive surprise. Well done classic IS. On a roasty side with distinct equilibrium sweetness. Some solvent-like booziness. Full-bodied, rich. Cool.
3.733cl can @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 11-03-2019.

In short: nice IStout.
Did I enjoy it: yes.
Pours black with nice tan head. Roasty, coffee, licorice nose. Taste follows the nose. Good.
3.4Pite na szybko na festiwalu z beczki. Calikiem przeciętny RIS ale nic po za tym, brak pazura
3.9On tap at the Beer Jerk Bunker. Pours black with a big tan head. Chocolate, smoke, coffee, raspberry, cherry, big ashy smoke notes. Good body. Very tasty.

3.7Can, Brewklopedia, Leicester. Very dark brown with a thin beige head. Coffee berry with earthy notes. Creamy with chocolate. Vanilla. Dark berry. Pretty good.
3.0Aroma: Medium roasty, coffee, chocolate. Medium-light licorice. Light fruity, banana
Appearance: Opaque, black body. Small, light brown head, low retention. fine bubbles.
Flavour: Medium-high licorice, roasty, coffee. Medium cocoa, chocolate. Medium bitterness. Medium-light apricot, rose. Dry finish with licorice.
Mouthfeel: Light warming. Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: The licorice notes are pleasant at first, but it becomes quite overpowering. There is some complexity, but it is lost in the licorice.
330 ml can, poured. Trade with Nisse666
3.8Tap at taptap. Black colour, soft silky beige head stays. Aroma is roasty, chocolatey, some vanilla and cocoa. Taste is sweet, boozy, chocolatey, liquorice, port winey, jammy, dark berries. Full body, below average carbonation, oily-silky-fat viscous texture. Very rich in taste, overally nice winter-warmer
3.5Tap. Pitch black color. Medium size, thick brown head, stays. Roast, alcohol, cocoa, sweet, coconut in aroma and in taste. Alcohol is covered. Solid brew.
3.633cl bbAPR2023 from BXXBeerFest18. - - Wet umami oilsand Scandi-liquorice permeate this otherwise lean and classical ImpStout with modern hopbitter flourishes. Cocoa and coffee are there subdominant, underneath is a hard to fathom undergrowth of paprika and drop-candy. Some abv, otherwise well-managed, not a favourite.
2.7(café, plato-compacte, rétro café, douce, oatée, longueur alcool, pas du tout terrible, se fadifie-vulgarise)
3.6Tap (at taptap). Pours black. Aroma is roast, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, chocolate, coffee, malt. Finish is roasty bitter. Overall: good.
3.80,3 litre Can from Systembolaget Charlottenberg. Black with little brown head. Roasted malts, coffee, Chocolate and some sweetness.
3.7Can of 33cl, in a Tumbler glass; from the fridge (with little warming beforehand).
A enjoyable dark Imperial stout with notes of cocoa and coffee. The aroma is more on the coffee, and the taste a little bit more on the chocolate side.
Will drink again.
3.9F: big, tanned, good retention.
C: black, opaque.
A: a lot of cocoa, chocolate, bit coffee, bit caramel, toffee, bit smoky.
T: dark chocolate, cocoa, bit smoky, caramel, bit toffee, dry on the palate, rich malty taste, alcohol is well hidden, not very complex yet enjoyable for sure, full body, medium carbonation, fully enjoyed, 33cl can from BXLBeerFest 2018 in Brussels.
3.51 finger dark beige head.
Pitch black beer.
Aroma is salt liquorice, soy, smoked charcuterie, toffee, dark chocolate, slight vanilla and dark roast coffee.
Taste is similar but even more focus on the smoked goods and the overall darkness.
Mouthfeel is semi-thick yet still manages to feel somewhat light in body. Pretty sticky. Medium to medium-high roasted bitterness. Low carbonation.
Overall: Very nice smoked Impy. I held this in high regard the first time I tried it some years ago but it held up. Didn't remember it as being this smokey but very nice nevertheless.
