Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout

Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout

This beer is refreshingly smooth, tasting of roasted coffee, chocolate and peanut butter. Brewed with rolled oats and lactose, this beer has a silky-smooth mouth-feel finish. Don’t let the color fool you. This dark beer is easy-drinking.

3.2 “Like chocolate Reese's in a can” is the claim, as an avid consumer of Reese’s I am keen to see it this holds true. We will soon find out. Peanut Butter Milk Stout @belchingbeaver Stout – Milk / Sweet 5.3% This brew is jet black and opaque with a bubbly thin brown head that settled into a thin cover. There is a bit of a strength to the aroma and I find it a bit off putting. Roasted peanuts with hazelnut with a strong backbone of dark chocolate. The peanut butter is there in the sweetness but battling it out with the chocolate for who is more dominant. The first mouthful does not give a clear winner there either, both flavours seem to balance each other out nicely. The lactose gives the beer an overall creamy feel. There is a bit of carbonation on the tongue and a little bitterness. A medium body, not nearly as full as I would have thought. This is a dessert beer so expect the sweetness. Pretty close to a Reese’s, but not so close that I have found a replacement just yet.
3.6 can from hopt dark brown, light brown head aroma is peanut butter primarily, also chocolate and roasted malts. flavor is slightly watery, roasted malts, peanut butter, bitter woody note, coffee.
3.3 335 ml can. Black with a dense lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, milk chocolate, coffee and subtle coconut. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied - creamy. Sweet finish. Way too sweet for my liking.
3.5 355ml can from hopt.it, France. Pours black, with practically no foam. Aroma is intense of coffee and peanuts. Body is fairly dense, smooth, oily, with soft carbonation. Taste is rather sweet, though the final is fairly light.
3.3 Black with a large fluffy brown head. Roasty and dryish with strong peanut and cocoa. Very long finish. Medium body.
3.4 Peanut butter. Malt. A hint of coffee. Pours brown/black with a medium tan foamy head. Fair retention. Leaves some spots on the glass. Peanut butter. Coffee. Roast malt. Kind of thin. It’s okay.
3.5 From can. Opaque with thick tan head. Peanut butter and milk chocolate aroma. Sweet, with strong peanut butter, chocolate.
3.8 A black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has hazelnut, some chocolate and caramel. Taste has chocolate, hazelnut, some lactose. Quite sweet. Medium bodied, smooth. Very good beer.
3.3 Can of the 33cl. The peanut flavour is too heavy and chemical. After 3 sip, it's just sickening. Can of 12,5cl would be highly enough.
3.6 Pours very dark, a hint of red/orange if held up to a bright light. Small amount of tan foam. Aroma of chocolate and peanut butter. Taste is dark/bittersweet chocolate, a bit of coffee, and peanut butter. Good stuff.
3.9 Dark pour, amber edges, mocha head. Nose is roasted peanuts and coco. Middle shows nutter butter, coco, smooth cold coffee with cream, dark kilned malt, hint of wood. Finish is sweet oatey extension of the above, heavy on the roasted peanuts. Definite dessert beer.
Prima.
3.6 Appearance: The beaver icon on the bottle is very cute. Liquor: Dark and completely opaque. The richness of the foam is general, the foam is fine and brown, and the foam is good. Bouquet: Bitter coffee notes, dark chocolate, soy sauce notes of Stato, sweet peanut butter and vanilla ice cream. Taste: a mixture of chocolate, toffee, peanut butter and milk. Very low bitterness. Palate: Medium - bodied, smooth - bodied with a nice kill. Bottom Line: A wine for everyone
3.8 Can. Fairly black with a resilient beige, spotty-lacing head. Aroma of heavily roasted peanuts and chocolate. Sweet and roasted taste. Medium bodied and smooth.
3.7 355ml can. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a large, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, peanut butter, vanilla wafer, chocolate, caramel and earth. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted chocolate malt, lactose, hazel nut, vanilla, milk chocolate and earth in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink.
4.6 12 oz. can from Orem, Utah State liquor store. Pours a pitch black color with faint ruby highlights and a large tan head and very good retention. Spotty lacing. Great natural peanut butter aroma. The taste is a perfect balance of dry, roasted stout and peanut butter flavors. Not overly sweet. Really creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Super smooth and clean. Medium body. Easily repeatable. Well done!
3.7 Nutty nutty nutty on the nose, perhaps cocoa. Medium feel with a carb that meshes with more nuttiness. Lacto comes through with some wood. Good easy drinking beer.
3.7 Can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of peanuts, roasted malt and cocoa. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, cocoa and peanuts with a smooth dry lingering cocoa peanut finish.
4.2 For something completely different. I bought 4 pack and didn't care for first can. By the 4th can I loved it.
3.8 355 ml can poured at home. Day 1 of the self created craft beer advent calendar. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells really nice with overtones of peanuts and chocolate. Taste is full with peanuts, malt, chocolate and a slight alcohol finish. Quite good. Good way to start er off!
3.3 Draft. Dark brown/black pour tna head. Its like nutterbutters, sweet but not over the top, drinkbale.
3.5 Can poured into an English pint. Black color with a foamy tan head. Some sediment present. Aroma is roasted peanuts, powdered peanut butter, chocolate. Initial taste is peanut butter, roasted malt, and a hint of chocolate. Fades to a milky, lightly roasted mix. Smooth medium body and medium carbonation.
Corpo leggero. Discreta,
4.1 Damn good milk and peanut butter stout! Full of calories, but full of heart!
4.3 Dark pour. Wonderful peanut butter flavor. Sweet taste with a sweet palate. Very delicious!!
