4.0 From Beer Drop. Canned December 16th 2021. Pours a pitch black with a large head of tan foam. Smells of peanuts, chocolate and some roasted malt. Nice. The taste is lovely flavours of peanuts and delicious chocolate. Some roasted malt adds to the enjoyment of this excellent brew. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. BB does it again.
4.3 Dark black pour with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is intense. Cocoa, cinnamon and light coffee with a really intensely roasty and rich aroma. Chewy palate, sweet and chocolatey. The nuttiness is actually subtle here... it appears just as a richness through the middle along with the malts and toasted grain. Lots of complexity in here. I like this a whole lot more than I thought I would... gotta get back to the store for more.
3.9 Pounder can poured a çlear dark reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, peanuts, coffee, light chocolate and a hint of cinnamon. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of chocolate, peanuts, cinnamon and light coffee with a smooth dry lingering chocolate peanut finish.
3.5 Strong chocolate aroma with peanut butter and bread Pours black with with creamy tan head. Sweet chocolate flavor with cream and light cinnamon and peanut butter. Medium bodied with medium co2, lingering sweet cinnamon finish. Enjoyable sweet dessert style stout.
3.7 can from hopt. pitch dark, smooth brown head. strong aroma of chocolate cake, peanut butter chocolate bar, lots of peanuts. Sweet flavor, chocolate, peanuts, roasted malts. taste is also chocolate cake with peanuts.
3.6 1 pint can. Pours a very dark brown with full foamy tan head. Aromas of peanut butter and slick roasted malts. Flavors of peanuts with milk chocolate and oily roasted malts. Not getting much spice and peanut butter is on overload. Nice enough though especially if you love peanuts
4.0 US pint, on-tap in Heroes & Legends, a sports bar in Lake Forest, California; 27th December 2021. The beer menu called it Viva La Beaver Mexican Chocolate Milk Stout (7.5%), should be the same beer. It came black with a wispy tanned head. Chocolate aroma and taste, couldn't detect any Peanut Butter, but it was viscous and pretty sweet from start to finish, 16oz's was more than enough (they don't do flights or halves in Heroes & Legends, but you can have 34oz pours if you want!).
4.0 Burk. 1 pint. Mörkt brunfärgad med ett brunt frodigt skum. Dofter och smaker av choklad, jordnötssmör, kaffe, kanel och hasselnöt. Fyllig kropp. Blir inte för sött lyckligtvis.
3.8 16oz can from Craft Beer Cellar in Pewaukee. Dark brown pour. Aroma has dark chocolate, peanut butter, and sweet malts. Taste is well blended between the darker chocolate & peanut butter. Perhaps a bit of Mexican spice, but it is minimal. This is not similar to a Reese's, as the chocolate is not milky, so the flavor palate is different. More than medium bodied. Finishes sweet and nutty. 13.7
4.1 Can: Black color, brown head. Aroma is nutty chocolate, peanuts, marple sirup, ciffee. Flavor is sweet, malty, roasty, very nutty, caramel, molasses.
4.0 Pours a dark brown with a foamy head that is dark tan with some lacing on the glass. Aroma is peanut butter, coffee and chocolate as is the taste. The mouthfeel is lite compared to what I was expecting from a milk stout. The balance of flavors is almost perfect. I'm not much of a Stout person, but this is very good!
3.8 Sometimes I wonder ‘what was I thinking?´, yet you truly don’t know before you taste it. Peanut butter in a stout, that is it. Not for me but it is delivered to you. Quite thick and rich.
3.7 Pours a dark brown, with an inch of fine light brown foam. Aroma of chocolate, peanut butter, and roasted malt, maybe a bit of coffee. Taste is the same. I'm not getting what makes this a "Mexican" chocolate milk stout per se, but it's good stuff.
3.9 Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 30/10/21. Back with a good sized tan head that dissipates over time. Nose is peanut butter, chocolate fudge sundae, dark malts, light roast. Taste comprises chocolate cake, peanut butter cups, toffee, brown sugar melt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid PNB stout ... good balance, get the peanut butter over, doesn't run too sweet.
4.1 14/11/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of peanut butter, milk chocolate, toffee, nut, roasted malt, cinnamon and touch of coffee. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth texture, soft carbonation. Very nice.
3.8 Panda 🐼 at home thanks to SHIG. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting fine tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty peanut butter, cocoa, cinnamon, dried fruit and nut. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, liquorice, nutmeg, mixed spices, woody cooca, peanut butter. Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate carbonation.
4.0 Can: Poured a black with a light brown lacing head. Aroma is peanut butter, chocolate, spice, rich malts. Taste is chocolate, spices, peanut butter, roasted malts, cinnamon, light burn in the finish.
4.1 16 oz can, dated 5/22/21. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy brown head that retains fairly well and laces the glass some. The aroma is sweet roasted chocolate malt with peanut butter and a little cinnamon. The flavor is very sweet chocolate malts with nutty peanut butter and a little cinnamon and roast in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery with low carbonation. Overall, a nice dessert beer.
3.8 16oz can. Poured a very dark brown, almost pitch-black color with a large, light tan head. Not a lot of Mexican spice heat, but delicious dark chocolate and a really decent peanut butter character. Rich, but not nearly as heavy as I expected. Doesn't taste like it's full of residual sugars like so many pastry-style beers.
3.2 Can of 50cl. Pours black. That synthetic peanut butter flavour is really Horrible. For the second time in a row, I didn't finish there beer.
3.7 Not bad.... Nose is nutty, wood, cardboard. Milky smooth taste with chocolate bars, more earth and nuts. Very enjoyable, a bit contrived.
3.7 Black pour with a beige head and spots of lacing …. Aroma of peanut butter, chocolate, coffee, sweet lactose, dusty cocoa and roasted malts …. Taste is of peanut butter, sweet lactose, bitter and sweet chocolate, dusty cocoa, roasted malts and coffee ….. medium bodied, slick and oily …. On par with a Sweet Baby Jesus …. Light bitterness … cinnamon m, chocolate and peanut butter are balanced well …. Nice and sessionable
4.4 500 ml can. Fantastic smell, really like chocolate and peanut, but grainy, is really a beer. Fantastic dark look. Tastes fresh and super sweet at the same time, great archivement. Nice ending. This has to be one of the better and most original beer i've ever had.
3.0 Can picked up from www.drankgigant.nl Webshop, Vlissingen, Netherlands. Had this at home listening to England v Germany, Euro Championships, Tuesday 29th June 2021. Pours black with a slim light cappuccino coloured head. Loz gets chocolate covered digestive biscuits, I get peanuts, however the aroma and flavor seem very artificial. It's sweet with some biscuit, chocolate and a little warmth, smooth, thick mouthfeel. IRS okay but just feels a little bit plasticy and false.
3.7 Belching Beaver can from Buc-ee’s Beaver Mega Gas Denton Tx; hmmm...Black body with tan sheen fleeting. Nice peanut butter, chocolate, Reese’s cup aromas. Smooth mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Very nice peanut butter, chocolate, mild roast flavors are medium sweet—- easy smooth finish ___ Belching at Buc-ee’s
3.8 Creamy light brown head left a spotty cover on a still black body. Vanilla & chocolate aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth & tingly on the back. Vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, lactose & cinnamon tastes. Cracking beer
3.7 Peanut butter straight up the nose full force. Cinnamon, cocoa, some toasty malt all playing a supporting role. Pours black with ruby highlights. Medium tan head. Not much retention. Leaves a fair amount of lacing and a thin layer of foam on the surface. Pretty smooth. Thinner bodied than I was expecting. A little bit creamy though. Lots more peanut butter. Good hit of cinnamon and light chocolate notes. It’s got an effervescent tingle. It’s actually really good.
3.8 Bought this thinking that my wife, who tolerates a "dessert" beer, might enjoy this. I decided to test drive it first...yeah, she would not like this. But, I do, generally. It's not something I need to try again, but I'm glad I did. Classic stout color, pour, head, etc. Flavor is unusual, I kinda-sorta get peanut butter, but it's not obvious. I get darkish-chocolate, but again, it's not super-prevalent. Pretty strong carbonation for a stout. ABV is totally not apparent. It's good, but not great. Worth trying as a high-quality novelty if anything else.
4.0 Belle couleur noire à quelques reflets, mousse correcte. Nez très chocolat, vanille, fruits secs, arachide. Bouche douce, légèrement sucrée, légèrement épicée, lactose, goûts de chocolat, de vanille, un peu de café, des fèves d'arachide et autres. Good
Realmente espectacular!
