3.4 Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 21B - Belgian IPA). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 04/2018). AROMA: medium-low hop aroma with a slight pine character. medium-low esteres reminiscente of apples. phenols on the background with a spicy/peppery note. background of soft sweet malt. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and slightly hazy. medium white head with good retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: medium-low hop presence with notes of pine, slight pear, followed by a soft and neutral-sweet malt background. medium-high to high bitterness with a an almost dry and bitter finish that endures. PALATE: medium to medium-light body with medium carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: an average belgian IPA.

2.9 Bottle from The Beerhive. Golden body with a light haze and a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon, green apple and sponge cake. Flavour of grass and bitter lemon. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Overly sharp and quite harsh overall.

2.7 Bottle at Brussels. Thanks to the bartender at Delirium Café for the bottle. Clear yellowish with white head, fizzy. Sweetish aroma with notes of yeasts, malt, some fruitiness, candy and green hops. Sweetish and bitterish flavor, alcoholic with notes of green hops and malt. Medium-bodied.

3.2 Bottle. Clear yellow golden with a huge white head. Aroma is spicy, fruity esters, clove, soap. Sweet, overripe fruit, spicy, grainy, toasted bread, alcoholic, bitter finish. Medium-bodied, fizzy.

4.1 Un conseil, si vous n’appréciez pas l’amertume, passez votre chemin. Ce qui pour une bière présentant un IBU de 36 peut paraître surprenant d’ailleurs. Mais la mention Extra Dryhopped Beer sur l’étiquette n’est pas mensongère. Et l’utilisation poussée de cette méthode sur différents houblons permet d’obtenir ce ressenti d’amertume affirmé. Dommage que les arômes n’aient pas été plus développés, car le cap de la simple bière agréable aurait pu être franchi (mais être au stade des bières agréable n’est déjà pas si mal!). En verre, notre Luppoo met de suite en confiance, une robe blond paille parée d’un très léger voile (EBC aux alentours de 12) et surmontée d’une mousse blanche d’un cm d’épaisseur. L’effervescence est quant à elle moyenne avec des bulles de diamètres moyens. Le nez continue sur cette bonne impression, agréable et fraîchement houblonnée, sur les fruits exotiques, les agrumes et complétée par une touche de céréales. L’amertume se ressent dès l’attaque, qui se veut à ce stade bien équilibrée avec le malt et sur des arômes fruités d’ananas et d’agrumes. La deuxième bouche, toujours sur une amertume équilibrée par le malt est sur des arômes plus neutres, essentiellement de céréales (utilisation d’orge et d’avoine). L’arrière bouche davantage tournée sur le houblon est très agréable et confère une corpulence tout juste acceptable. La troisième bouche, linéaire, précède un final où le dry hopping s’exprime complètement avec une amertume saillante et herbacée qui envahit le palais. Le 6,5 % soutiennent de façon remarquable les arômes même si un petit complément de longueur aurait été appréciable. Rien à dire sur le sucre, parfaitement dosé. Une belle bière bien rafraîchissante, agréable, cela permet déjà de passer une bonne soirée.

4.0 Robe jaune paille, claire. Mousse abondante et stable, blanche. un peu de dentelle sur le verre. Nez houblonné sur le fruit (agrume, orange, ananas), légèrement floral. Attaque sur l’amertume sans excès, bouche qui évolue sur une douceur fruitée et maltée. Finale de retour à l’amertume houblonnée. Notes levurées discrètes. Texture légère, corpulence fine, une rondeur moyenne en bouche. Blonde houblonnée particulièrement bien équilibrée. Aucun excès amère ou fruité, mais une belle conjonction. Le caractère malté et levuré est joliment en soutien. Très maîtrisé, belle utilisation du houblon et du houblonnage à cru.

3.3 Blonde paille pale, trouble, mousse blanche moyenne. Nez plutôt porté sur le houblon fruité : citron, ananas, litchi. Attaque moyenne amère, citron, retour un peu malté et sucré puis finale courte sur un retour de l’amertume avec des notes d’ananas. Bière agréable et rafraichissante d’une bonne buvabilité.

3.6 Bouteille de 33cl. couleur dorée pale, mousse moyenne de tenue correcte. Des arômes de pamplemousse, litchi, ananas, le goût est bien équilibré. Manque juste un peu d’ amplitude et de longueur pour en faire un must mais elle reste sympa. Trouvée à la brasserie Delneste - Froidmont.

3.4 Pours a slightly hazy golden color with medium to hugue white head. Yeasty aroma, Belgian characteristic, with grassy hops, slightly citrus, herbal and earthy. Taste follows the aroma, yeast is very present, followed by a mild hoppy note, with earthy, grassy and fruity hops, finishing with a strong bitterness.

3.1 La Belgoo Luppoo es una cerveza artesanal elaborada en Bélgica en las instalación de la Cerveceria La Binchoise desde 2007 situado en el pueblo de Binche, en Valonia. Las cervezas son desarrolladas por Jo Van Aert de la empresa cervecera Belgoo beer y elaboradas por el mismo en la cervecera La Binchoise. La cervecería artesanal Belgoo que fabricaba hasta ahora en la instalación de la cervecera La Binchoise se trasladó al final del 2014 hacia Leeuw-Saint-Pierre, en periferia bruselense. Cuando los locales del mayorista en bebida BVS se le liberaron a dos pasos de la calzada de Mons a Leeuw-Saint-Pierre, el cervecero Jo Van Aerts, originario de Alsemberg, sacó provecho de la ocasión para realizar su sueño, comprar el hangar e instalarse en sus propias paredes. Desde el 2007, producía él mismo una gama en pleno expansión en la cervecería Binchoise en Hainaut. Proyecta una instalación de mezcla de 2400 litros por la que la capacidad podría ser doblada. La cerveza Belgoo Luppoo esta elaborada con dry hopping con una combinación única de 5 tipos de lúpulo y 2 cereales diferentes. La fermentación se efectúa en botella. Belgoo Luppo es una cerveza no filtrada y sin ningún aditivo químico. Medalla de plata en 2010: Beverage Tasting Institute de Chicago . Medalla de bronce en 2012: Brussels Beer Challenge categoría Pale&Amber-Ale: Blonde/Golden.

3.5 Robe blonde, belle mousse. Nez agréable sur de belles notes de houblon frais sur un fond d’agrumes, pointe de levures. Par contre la bouche me déçoit un peu, avec une belle attaque mais un creux en milieu de bouche et une finale courte. A revoir en été bien fraîche.

3.6 Aroma: sweet light fruits, grassy hops, sone spicy herbs, sweet flowers. Taste: moderate bitterness with light candy sweetness. Flavour: light fruits, grassy hops, herbs, apricote jam. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Pleasant ans drinkable with fresh hop notes.

3.5 BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy bright golden, huge white head. Delicate pale honey malts in the nose, along with some fruit and earthy hops with hints of garlic. The taste is similar, refreshing and easy drinking: honey malts, fruity, string herbal bitterness, which feels kept under controls by the residual sugars. Well done.

3.1 Aroma was nice, but too discreet. Taste is good, with a hint of hop and some bitterness. A cool refreshing beer.

2.6 Very shy herbal medicine aroma. Strong sweetless honey with metallic taste. Intense short lived bitterness.

3.3 330ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a sticky, frothy white head. Aroma is light grass, weak hops and a little yeast. Soft carbonation. Grass and pine in the taste at first followed by resin. More like a session ipa than Belgian ale. Nonetheless, very nice.

2.9 Sample at SBWF 2015. Fruity smell with apples, grape and a yeasty spicy aroma. Similar taste. High carbonation.

3.6 Hazy gold with a nice foamy head. Hoppy, floral and grapefruit nose. Heavy carbonation. Starts with a lot of citrus, then some wood and earth come into play. Lemon peel stays throughout. Dry bitter sweet finish. Turns a bit funky towards the end, a bit unfortunate, but all in all a pleasant beer

3.5 330ml bottle bought at BeYummi’s kiosk during "Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest 2015" in Central. Looks: Cloudy hazy straw golden honey with a thin crust of yeast sedimentsOne and a quarter finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with near zero carbonation. Aroma: Fragrant Pils malt, with banana, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, orange, floral, honey, vanilla, sugar, pretty strong Bel yeast, very light lemon and thin grass. Taste: Mid to light sweet moderate Pils malt, with strong tartness, light grapefruits, strong citrus peels, orange, strong molasses notes, strong yeast, lime, fairly strong bitter hops and very strong grass. Body: Medium to light body. Smooth and slick palate. Mouth Feel: Moderate and quite tasty Pils maltyness in a thin but and smooth background. Strong presence of wheaty tartness which blends well with the extra hops. Oats smoothness is moderate and not creamy. Very strong lemon peels with light grapefruit and orange. Fairly strong molasses forgood countermeasure. Yeasty and grassy to round. Very good! Hoppiness: Lightly-scented pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, orange, floral, honey in nose. Strong citrus peels, light grapefruits, orange, lime, and strong grass in taste. Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent tart and sweet malty finish. After Taste: Fairly dry. Tart, smooth and strong bitter to mouth. Comments: The extra dry hopping works wonder mostly in its strong citrusy and grassy taste, while the aroma is nice but rather modest. As Belgian IPAs, this one is right on top, with a bit more kick in nose and oats smoothness will surely helps. Recommended!

2.0 Bottiglia da 33cl. Color oro opaco con molta schiuma bianca persistente. Al naso un leggero lattico e citrico. Al palato leggermente citrica e molto astringente. Per gli evidenti difetti ritengo sia una bottiglia andata.

3.5 A beautiful colour, lemon yellow, a head is very big and blond. Aroma is fresh and aromatic, fruitful and some lemon, flowers. Taste has lemon and fruitful, spicyness, clear herbal-grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, strong carbonation but not too much. Quite good beer with hops.

3.6 A very hoppy and slightly sweet ipa. I guess you dont call it a Belgian ipa here...just an ipa. Haha. Still some good drinking here
