3.4 Bottle from lowcostbeer.com. My first Belhaven beer surprisingly. Pours near black with small beige head. Roasted dark malt aroma, some licorice and sweet caramel. Not complex taste wise - dark malts and caramel to start, powdery chocolate comes in with light licorice leading to a semi-dry finish. Light bodied, easy drinking, good session quality. Decent.
1.5 Mało słodkie, mocno ciemne, trochę wędzonego posmaku. Takie se
3.4 Bottle. Dark red brown. Dark roasted malts, coffee and chocolate, mildt smokey. Medium dry, moderate carbonation. Nice.
2.9 Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 15B - adapted). Bottle 50 cl - Batch 22041 20:59 (BBF 05/2023). AROMA: medium-low toffee and slight roasted flavor. APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and clear. medium beige head with average retention. TASTE: medium-low toffee-like malt flavor followed by medium-low to low roasted notes. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry, somewaht bland and slightly roasted finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: a stout a bit on the diluted side.
3.6 Pitch black colour with beautiful brownish lasting head. Smell of sweet malt and coffee. Very creamy with taste of malt, coffee chocolate and a little brown sugar.
2.9 bottle @ lidl (budapest) black colour, normal body, low carbonated, beige head, thin texture, watery, roasted malty, yeasty, bitter, coffe aroma
3.6 Cask@Greyfriars, St. Andrews
3.1 Draft at Tobermory, Isle of Mull. Nitro. Brown black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, malt. Sweetish, dry, bitter, coffee, roast, caramel, toffee. Medium-bodied, creamy.
2.5 Quick rate Smell- weak malt. Foam- thin, malty, soft. Weak bitter tones. Appearance-nice nice and somewhat simple can. From - can Taste - malty, thin, weak bitter tones. Feels like discount Guinness. Overall nothing special.
3.1 Copenhagen 29/8 2022. 50 cl clear glass bottle from Lidl, Frederikssundsvej, Brønshøj. Very dark label with some remote Scottish Islands. Pours clear dark brown with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with salty, sea water. Dark malts. Lightly roasted. Caramel. Licorice and sea weed. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Salty tang. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for bit. Finish is rather dry. A on the thin side - but with a nice salty touch.
Carbono suave. Corpo leve. Textura oleosa.
W zapachu paloność, jakby wędzone nuty i trochę kwaśna kawa. W smaku dosyć wodniste, sporo paloności, dosyć kwaskowe, przyjemny dry stout.
3.5 Pint, draft at Lizardville in Copley, Ohio. Malty aroma. Black color with a big off white head. Taste the roasted malt. Smooth and sweet. Easy to drink. Wonderful light malty aftertaste. Nice stout! Cheers!
3.5 on tap scura cremosa buone tosture caffe morbida cacao bilanciata non milto corpo
2.0 Nitro can from a friend. Poured black, bright off white head, bubbles everywhere. Aroma of maybe roasted malt, as with almost anything nitro touches it ruins. Taste was sweet, watery, flat, bit light creamy. Probably would be better without the nitro bullshit. With nitro the pour is the gonna be the best part in my opinion. Millions of little bubbles fighting like the purge, almost lava lamp looking, beautiful, after that your fucked cause it’s gonna be flat and flavorless.
3.0 Thin foamed beige head on a still black body. Malt & liquorice aroma. Medium to thin bodied, soft on the tongue with a sharp dry back. Liquorice, smoked, malt & berry tastes with a bitter piney finish. Quaffer
2.6 Bière noire, café torréfié, légèrement sucrée, pointe chocolatée
2.7 Can't tell the difference between this and Guinness...that's all that needs to be said lol Had at British bulldog for lunch as pandemic seems to be winding down...US deaths at 964k
3.6 Pours mahogany tinged black into a shaker. Tan micro head with excellent retention. Pit fruit and smoke aromas. Fruity with pit fruit, smoked apple and mild funk front to back.
2.6 16oz nitro can from Hops & Bottles. Opens with a big hiss, pours out almost black, thin, robust creamy head. Weak chocolate aroma, sweet. Taste goes down hill from there. Taste of cheap milk chocolate, wax. Not enjoyable.
3.5 Tall can (nitro) from the Beer Store. Pours a fairly big frothy tan head with a thick stocky head and has a deep dark black appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of dark roasted malts, notes of chocolate and coffee. Flavours are mostly mild toasted malt, hints of coffee and chocolate. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Not bad.
2.8 Aromat: słabo wyczuwalny, lekko kwaskowy, chlebowy Wygląd: barwa czarna, piana beżowa, dosyć trwała, zostawia ładny lacing Smak: głównie wodnisty, lekko palony, trochę przypieczoną skórki od chleba, wytrawny, goryczka niska, ale wyczuwalna Podniebienie: nagazowanie średnie w kierunku wysokiego, lekkie, średnio pijalne
2.9 Can (440 ml) from the Beer Store Boutique, Distillery District, Toronto. Pours near black with lasting medium tan head. Light aroma of roast malts, somewhat sweet, caramel. Light taste, roast malts and grains, finishes lightly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, almost creamy, with gentle carbonation. I prefer stouts with stronger flavour and more of a kick.
3.1 Dark brown nearly black body with tan head. Aroma roasted malts dried fruits. Taste is roasted creamy malts chocolate. Aftertaste is nice balanced.
3.0 Can. Pours dark brown with very light hick head. Aroma is caramel, roast, malts, some cereals, coffee. Taste is light, coffee, roast, dark bread, some wooden chips, biscuit. Nice beer!
3.2 Pours a black colour. Taste is of roast malts, has quite a fizzy mouthfeel. Not a bad keg stoutto be honest.
