3.4Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear mahogany with a thin off-white head. Aromas of light toffee and nuts, something faintly metallic. Taste brings a bit of malt loaf. Thin finish, but better than expected.
4.0en lidt tynd broen ale, jeg kan godt lide at der er noget smag af nødder, men den er næsten fraværende her.
3.4Bottle from supermarket. Pours mahogny coloured with a small to medium white head. Aroma is sweetish malt and candy. Flavor is malt and sweet fruity. Finish is bitter, bit harsh. Good drinkability, could have several of this.
3.1Clear brown ale. Moderate beige head. Caramely nose. A hint of hops. Light-bodied. Sweetish taste. Caramel, molasses. Light hoppiness.
3.2Bottle. Copper/Reddish-brown in colour. Described by Belhaven as a Scottish Ale. Malty; roasty malts, caramel, hints of smoke. Fruity; raisins, dark fruits. Light spicy hops. Sweet malty throughout. Very drinkable. Nice malty ale! (2009-05)
3.7the aroma is fruity and caramel with shades of apple, plum, toffee and candy... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of candy, toffee, bisquit, garden fruits and berries... sweet and dry aftertaste...
3.2Nice amount of head even in the bottle. Slightly sweet taste with a hint of caramel.
3.4500ml bottle. Pours brown without a head. Caramel, toffee. Nice lingering and smooth bitterness. Soft carbonation, body bit on the light side. Really actually.
3.5Nice sweet aroma, a bit Lipton tea with lemon and honey. Warm and caramally. A bit fudge and coffee. Full bodied. Not much fizz. Works chilled but a bit warmer as well, as I noticed since I left the beer on the table for a while.
2.9Bottle. Clear deep copper color with a nice but short head. Aroma of caramel and bubblegum, with herbal earthy notes. Taste toasty, with earthy notes and a bit of caramel sweetness. Not bad, though you should not drink it too cold
2.9Bottle. Copper-brown with next to no head. Not enthused about the clear glass bottle as despite being kept in a dark cellar it still had a mikd skunky aroma and taste. There is a good lightly sweetened maltiness to be found in here too and possibly a hint of chocolate.
2.7500ml clear bottle as ’Belhaven Robert Burns’, 4.2% BB Nov 2016. Dark orange brown, clear, lightly sparkling, small tan ring on top. Aroma is sugary, cola, bready sugars. Body is medium to light, tingly carbonation, not foamy. Taste is sugary, thin cola, treacle, soft bitterness. Plain and sweet. OK. Drinkable but not really my sort of thing.
2.6rotten eggs, golden, clear, off white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long finish,
2.9Copenhagen 28/10 2015. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Clear glass bottle. Label with drawing of serious fella with huge sideburns whom I assume is the thirsty Robert Burns. Pours clear copper brown with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is of toffee, caramel and roasted malts. Notes of burned toast. Aroma is a little skunky as well. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Taste follows the nose and is of sweet toffee and caramel supplemented by something burnt - without being unpleasant. Nice English beer. Not much bitterness around but will probably fit in with the muffins and the afternoon Tea.
3.1Bottle from Meny (Amager), Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, with some caramel, treacle, nuts, some twiggy herbal hoppy notes, not bad.

8C. Extra Special/Strong Bitter (English Pale Ale)
2.6For a relatively low alcohol ale you get a great experience with this typical Scottish ale. The foam is moderate, the aroma is limited to malt.
The taste is very right for a Scottish ale, namely sweet malty, slightly caramel and a sensible richness which change slightly hoppy aftertaste. Easy to drink, but in some ways maybe a little thin.
3.0Coppery colour with white head. Dried fruit aroma, caramel flavour with those dried fruits returning and a hint of spice. Bit thin, perhaps, but otherwise decent
3.0500 ml clear bottle purchased and consumed in Fife. Label now says "Robert Burns Brown Ale" but still lists 4.2% ABV.
Pours with a bright copper body topped by a good head. Medium+ body and carbonation.
Aroma: a bit more more English hops than malts.
Flavor: Lasting, mildly bitter, malty aftertaste.
2.7500ml bottle. Pours copper with a small off-white head. Aroma is nutty and malty with some fruity notes. Taste is malty and fruity. Medium bitter finish.
3.4Clear, light brown beer with a thick frothy head. Slightly sweet malt smell. Mostly malt in the flavour too, though there’s a slightly smoky toffee taste as well. Unspectacular but very drinkable. And not as lively on the tongue as it looks from the pour which is a bonus as well.
3.0* Bottle. 3.1Bottle from Prisma in Kovoula.
Short off white head over a clear red-brown beer.
Nice piny aroma with balanced roasted malts. The taste is mild and fresh with a medium body. A sweet caramell malti taste lingers in the aftertaste.
2.6500 ml bottle at gästgivaregården, Helsingör. Golden amber with big off white head. Aroma of malt, pale malt, light bread. Taste is bready, sweet, with light grassy hop notes
2.2Reviewed on Xmas Eve. Not much aroma on the nose apart from hops and sweet malts. Pours nut brown with a thin off white head. The taste is bitter hops, caramel, dark fruits, sweet malt and toast. The body is quite thin with no lacing left on the glass and the carbonation is limited. Overall decent enough but nothing very special.
