3.3Bottle, 50 cl. Pleasant stout, roasted features, coffee. Well balanced. ABV well integrated, not too boozy. Went well with cheese and a fruit pie.
3.6Black colour, large head.
Aroma: roasted malt, coffee, bread, some dark chocolate, cacao.
Taste: roasted malt, coffee, cacao, some molasses, some dried fruits and hazelnut. Some sweetness, but in general quite dry.
4.0Rich, hearty taste of beer has a good balance between bitter and sweet notes. It felt notes of coffee, chocolate and malt, dark fruit nuances and herbs. Dry aftertaste with overtones of roasted malt and hops
3.5Musta lasissa hienolla beigellä vaahdolla. Tuoksu on paahteisen maltainen, hieman kahvinen ja aavistuksen makea. Mausta löytyy pehmeyttä, maltaista makeutta, toffeeta ja kahvia. Suutuntuma on kohtalainen, vaikka jää hieman vahvemmista stouteista.
2.5Ei häävi. Karvas. Tummaa suklaata on tosin hintsusti jos siitä tykkää.
4.1Meget sødlig men ristede malte. Kaffesmag og en rigtig god som nydeøl til vinteren.
4.0Duft af røgmalt. Mørk mahogni farve med karamel farvet skum. Smag af lakrids og tjære
3.4Czarne bez piany. W zapachu kawa i karmel. W smaku podobnie, tresciwe, lekko słodkie, pijalne. Fajne
3.6Kawa zboże lekki kwasek. Jak na stouta to jest pyszne.
3.5Całkiem udane pifko.
0.9440ml can with widget.
Not even the widget in the can disguises this poor brew, it is a typical big brewery stout.
Some subtle roasted taste however it is hard to go past the poor mouth feel, it's watery which indicates more sugar than malt was used when brewing, and it shows.
3.3Black, some light in the glass, dense body, a bit creamy, high carbonation, one finger blackish creamy head, which quickly disappears.
Aroma comes mostly from the roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, truffles. Not an intense aroma.
Taste of coffee, some cola, roasted malt, a bit of dark chocolate, balanced carbonation, very refreshing and easy drinking.
Medium aftertaste of coffee, espresso, dark chocolate, roasted malt.
3.8Color: Dark brown with ruby tint
Aroma: Roasted malt, caramel chocolate, coffee, hop notes
Taste: fruit, chocolate, caramel, coffee, notes
Aftertaste: Dry, Roasted malt.
3.7Big head, super black beer. Raisin malty nose. Sweet on the tongue but matched by toasty malt, molasses, stone fruit. Really tasty for a big brewery beer!
3.5tap @ kaledoni pub (budapest) dark brown colour, semi body, low carbonated, briliant dark brown head, creamy, watery texture, coffee and dark chocolate taste, easy to drink
3.7A medium, short-lived head on an almost black beer. The aroma contains less roastiness than I expected: dried fruits, cream sherry... and yes, some chocolate. This one is rather sweet on the tongue, almost on the verge of excess - and there's a liquorice-like edge to the finish, but a tasteful one. It's quite intense, which I (like most people) enjoy in a stout. Not a long-term candidate for my top ten dark beers - but a very enjoyable drink nonetheless.
2.5Dark color, middle foam size. Good beer, aroma and taste fit into the style.
3.8Smell - weak, roast, coffee.
Foam - medium to thin, some roast notes. Darl chocolate milk, medium to small.
Appearance - very dark, brownish.
Taste - roast, caramel, bit more bitterness in aftertaste, but weak, easy drinking, not bad.
3.7Inside the clear bottle (am I allowed to give bad Appearance mark due to this?) a black liquid lives, and when poured into a glass a small, short-lived, beige head is produced. Quite strong aroma of chocolate, dark caramel, roasted malt, Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts, and a fruity background. Strong flavour that follows the aroma, but with more emphasis on the liquorice. Moderate sweet taste with a light to moderate bitter finish. Close to full body, smooth and creamy texture, quite soft carbonation. Delicious!
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed two weeks before BB date, from Dagli' Brugsen Blokhus, Jylland, Denmark]
2.5Kuivan&pistävän kaakaoinen.
4.1Anomala semi industriale ma fatta bene
3.30.5l can. Pours deep black with a smooth medium sized biege head. Strong roast malt aroma. Taste of roast malts, coffee. Bitter aftertaste. Very low carbonation, almost as if it's gone damp and stale, wich is weird since the can fizzled upon opening. Nice taste overall, but the low carbonation killed it...
3.7I found this to be quite enjoyable. Sort of like a Baltic Porter, with some very nice chocolate malty flavors and decent hop finish. Like a stronger, smoother Guiness. Not sure if it is worth the price, but reasonable for an import and one of the better ones. My second sample from Belhaven and eager to try more.
3.7Bottle. Pours black with tight head and good lacing on the glass. Aroma is roast, liqorice, coffee, dark fruit. Flavour follows with gentle roastiness, coffee, chocolate. Smooth and creamy. Low bitterness and very enjoyable especially for the ABV. Very good.
