3.6 Golden color , aroma of vanilla , fruits and whisky and a sweet taste with whisky notes. It is a good complex beer.
3.8 Dark yellow colour, thin head, aromas of peach and bitterness, big mouthfeel, warm feeling, taste is very balanced with sweetness, bitterness and alcohol. Notes of white bread, complex and lasting taste.
Lekki dębowy, waniliowy, miodowy aromat, ledwo wyczuwalny. Alkohol czuć.
3.7 Bottle 0,33 ltr: Clear orange colored brew with an velvet sweet bitter taste, hints of honey, vanilla, oak and the touch of Speyside.
3.2 21/7/2019. Sample, from bottle, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear bright dark gold with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, wood, very light whiskey, golden syrup and brown sugar. Medium plus sweetness with light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not bad.
3.3 330ml bottle from Ken Warne, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of oak, vanilla. Taste is malty, sweet, with oaky and vanilla notes, peaty hint. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.
2.3 July 2019 330ml dark bottle, no residue, part of a Belhaven Craft Beer pack from Lidl. 6.5%. There is a fad at the moment for oak flavoured beers and wines. I'm not a huge fan. This is like a sweet lollypop. It's not like a beer. It's flat and lacking in character. Too sweet (and I love sweet malty beers!). One dimensional. Has that vanilla flavour that oak aged beers have. Not gritty and interesting, just sort of sweetly smooth. This feels like a beer for those who don't actually like beers. Like one of those caramel flavoured frothy lattes. You know, making a decent beer is not hard. Why fucking faff about with gimmicks that end up taking us away from the authentic article. Beer is great. This is shite. (Well, it's drinkable, just that it's as much real beer as a caramel flavoured latte is real coffee. )
3.3 Clear copper-golden pour with foamy white head. Aroma (asall Britain beers) rather soft, malty and sweet. Taste is creamy sweet, with very soft wooden aftertaste. Stuur ft and silky feel. Nice, and carefully made, but I wouldn't get the whisky barrel.
4.1 A scottish, clear, amber Oak Aged Blonde Ale with low head. Aroma is malt, caramel, light orange, oak, light vanilla. Taste is bitter sweet. Pearly.
3.4 Bue avec un ami 33cl. Nez malté et légèrement vinaigré. Robe blonde translucide aux teintes ambrées. Aucune mousse.
3.7 This is 6th of a 6 mix. This one is quite unique. Sweet, but still a nice sipper.
4.5 Really prominent whisky taste better than others claiming the same
2.8 Dark golden color with a persistent neck. Sweet, but with a good acidity to balance. However, it’s a little bit too sweet for me
3.6 Bottle: Poured golden with white head. Aroma is light vanilla grain. Taste is tangy light vanilla.
3.2 Bottle @ home. Clear golden w a white head. Aroma medium+ malty (bread, caramel, whisky barrel, vanilla). Flavor heavy sweet, whisky and barrel, vanilla. Medium+ body, light carbonated.
2.5 Friday, November 23, 2018. Bottle, 33cL. 6.5%. Purchase ("La Minute Blonde", Saintes (17), FR). Home. A sparkling light amber clear bubbly beer with a medium white head ; average retention ; good lacing. Light caramel, sugar+, honey notes, light whisky. Medium round sweet, sugary, light dry refreshing. Medium body, light oily texture, average to soft gaseous, sweet caramel dry fresh short finish. Overall, meh.
3.8 Pours a beautiful deep pink gold with a bubbly dissipating white head. Nose is oaky with loads of stone fruit and pink lemonade. There's a saltiness and wholegrain bread. Is there peat? Palate is smooth and balanced, fitting the flavours well. Taste is light oak, tonic water, bitterness, herbs, rock salt, and light hops.
3.6 09.11.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from denner satellit in basel, 3.50 fr. pours a clear deep golden with a small but dense head. nice fresh aroma of vanilla, fresh hay, flowers. flavour of vanilla ice cream, dried pears, slight oak, sweet grains. sweet and fruity, interesting.
3.6 From a 330ml bottle. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. A sweet creamy honey taste. Although it's 6.5% it's very pleasant and smooth to drink. It tastes like a beer version of mead.
2.6 PREZENTACJA: toń klarowna, jasno brązowa, piana niska, sycząca, znika po zakończeniu nalewania AROMAT: wanilina, karmel, klepki, cukier trzcinowy ODCZUCIE: ciało niskie ku średniemu, bardzo wysoko nasycone, musuje na języku SMAK: słodki - syrop klonowy, drewno, śliwka w occie, późna, średnia, długa drewniana goryczka OGÓLNIE: mogło być całkiem nieźle, a jest tak sobie głównie z powodu silnej słodyczy i szalonego nasycenia
3.5 Bottle purchased in Corsica. Decent head but gone fast. Clear amber, very little aroma (not much hops). Taste is sweet, malt heavy, some oaky tannin astringency, hints of lemon. Quite tasty, but I couldn't drink more than one as it's a pretty sweet malty/heavy tasting beer. The whisky note is pretty hard to detect but there's some undercurrent there. Very well rounded.
