3.2 It pours golden. It has a low bitter flavor featuring some floral flavors and grainy sweetness.
2.8 Bottle - Pours amber, white head. Aroma of fruit, refrigerated flowers, some grain malt. Flavors of pale malts, fruity, floral, melon, grape, mild hops, crackers / toasted bread.
3.0 330 ml bottle @ 5.6%, crystal clear golden color with large frothy off-white head. Very sweet smelling, floral, peaty. Soft feel, dough, mild mineral salts, hints of caramel with a light bitter follow. After becoming accustomed to the industrial hops of US Left Coast IPAs, this is very mild and leaves me wanting something more substantial.
2.9 Clear dark gold color with dense activity. Slightly creamy and bubbly beige 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with moderate lacing. Flavors of soft pine, mint, sweet grains, cherries, caramel, lemon, vegetables, flowery spices. Bread and cereal feel with thick sugars, slightly bitter from floral hops. Creamy full body with light prickly carbonation. Medium strength finish, soft leafy spices and citrus, with a thick burnt sugary malty candy like feel. Heavy in the mouth thus lacking some sharpness and zest, a little dull and weird. The flavors are pretty good, but it’s too sugary in the bad candy/medicine kinda way. More of an English style IPA than American, with ester fruits and not tropical. Overall decent quality craft.
3.2 Deep amber color, malty aroma, caramel taste with some bitterness at the end. Nothing special to remember.
3.4 Originally rated on 6/3/08. A dark golden amber apperance and a nice white head. Very little aroma but it was of grapefruit/ citrus, as for the flavor it didnt have as many hops as i expected, it tasted more like a pale ale than an india. Other than that, it is a quality brew definetley worth a try.
2.7 Pint at Nicholson’s. Aroma: Light to moderate lemon curd; slight grass; very light caramel biscuit. Appearance: Rich, gold pour with soft carbonation holding up a cap of white head. Flavor: Lemon curd up front with malts becoming more butterscotch-like and obtrusive; grass shows up more towards the finish, which is lightly bitter. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Thought the malts mucked things up ultimately; not bad, but needs some cleaning up.
3.3 Tap at an English pub with fish and chips. Light copper pour nose is Brady and floral. Tastes flora, of shortbread, light caramels, and hops. Smooth palate. Tasty enough
3.3 Draught from Nicholsons. Pours a clear light amber color with a smallish white head on there. Nose has some light citrus elements to it with a bit of grassiness coming off it. Taste is slightly bitter, yet finishes smooth and easy. All in all, pretty drinkable.
2.7 Clear golden, small offwhite head. Malty aroma, light notes of citrus. Flavour is malty with grapefruit and a herbal note. Some caramel perhaps and slightly rough, not entirely well balanced bitterness.
3.0 Copper beer with a medium foamy bright white head. Nose of lemongrass, mandarin orange, and grass. Flavor is a little strange with a bitter lemon tinge followed by a metallic bitterness. Some grassy flavors come through at the end. Kind of unusual, but nothing I’d search out.
2.8 Bottle. Golden amber color, sudsy white head. Aroma of subtle flowers. Taste is grainy, lightly floral. Understated.
1.7 This is a horrendously bad beer. It reminds me of gluten free beer with the acrid taste it leaves in your mouth. Bought a 6 pack... made everyone try it... poured it out
3.7 Bottle. Pours clear pale amber with medium white head. Aroma is mandarin, spruce, malt, dried rose leaves and lemon. Taste is medium sweet, medium to very bitter and light to medium acidic. Body is creamy with lively carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of orange, lemon, lime, spruce, malt, caramel, sugar and hints of milk.
3.2 On tap at Berry Park, golden honey color, small head. Aroma is hoppy citrus, mostly lemon and orange. Flavor is malt forward for an ipa. English ipa for sure. Bitter finish. Good for an English ipa.
3.1 Draft at Khyber Pass Pub in Philly. 6.2% ABV. Mostly clear rich gold pour. Started with 2 fingers of white foam. Left a smattering of lace. Aroma of juicy toasted wheat. Orange peels. Light blonde caramel. Shortbread. Dandelions. Passionfruit. Mango skin. Touch of pineapple rind. Medium body. Floral and herbal with a nice honey sweetness. Slight plastic notes in the finish. Good enough for a session beer, but not complicated enough to dwell on.
3.3 11.2 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, copper in color, nice white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit and hops. Taste is actually not bad, malts, fruit and some nice bitter and hoppy finish. Easy to drink.
2.3 Bottle to shaker glass. Pours slightly cloudy gold, one finger off white head, some lacing and some retention. Aroma of light citrus and pine. Taste is light bitter, moderately bready sweet. Light bodied, highly carbonated, thin metallic mouth feel. Finishes astringent. Tasting notes of caramel, bread, bitter herbs, yeast and salt. Not all that great.
2.0 Skunky, skunky, skunky, skunky, skunky, licorice, licorice, skunky, skunky, licorice, skunky
3.5 Grapefruit, earthy, spicy hop aroma. Appearance is a crystal clear gold with a small white head that quickly went away. Flavor is blend of grapefruit, fruity and spicy hop flavors. Malt flavor has notes of biscuit and caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a decent British ipa.
3.1 Flaska systembolaget. Orangegul vätska. Fruktig doft med färsk gräs och hö. Maltig smak med örter och frukt. Lätt söt med ok beska
3.1 Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Floral with some bitter citrus. Not bad.
3.8 Very good IPA with a good flowery bitter note nicely in balance with a light sweetness that I find unusual in an IPA. Should not be drunk too cold. Nice label, too.
3.0 Bottle pour. Clear golden with a decent white head. Citrus and floral aroma. Medium body. Floral, light citrus, and a slight hoppy aftertaste.
3.2 500ml ($3.99) pretty decent, first thistle ber. not bad. has a different flavor for sure.
3.1 Golden Brown with white head. Nose is light citrus. Taste is lightly bitter. Decent IPA.
3.3 Julie thinks it is interesting still too hop can taste the alcohol. She gives a 2
2.9 "too malty for an ipa, english or otherwise, though its a fairly well put together beer...just not the type of IPA I’ll usually go for. caramel and biscuit malt in equal or greater measure than light, fruity hops. A little weak on the feel, but pleasant aftertaste."
2.8 Bottle at home from backlog notes 07. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color. The aroma and flavor are very malt forward, some caramel, toasted bread, hops are faded, grass, mild fruity, oxidation, how old is this, not something I would do again.
3.1 Tap at Lazy Dog. Pours a golden with a layer of cream colored head. Aroma of floral hops and bits of citrus. Taste of bitterness. Something seems missing to give it a more balanced taste.
