3.1Lahvové třetinka z ostravské pivoteky pivní mozaika. Příliš sladké příliš alkoholové, absolutně se netrefilo do me chuti.
3.4Una cerveza con espuma generosa y persistente. Notas a manzana roja, bollería y mantequilla. Persiste el acidez en la boca.
4.2Super
3.8How: bottle. BB: JUL2021
Head: two finger, off white.
Colour: deep amber.
Aroma: malts, caramel, fruit cake, light alcohol.
Taste: medium body, below average carbonation, follows what aroma suggested. On sweeter side.
Malts& fruit cake in long aftertaste with balancing bitterness.
3.30,33 litre Bottle from Old Cellar Collection. Almost Black with beige head. Roasted malts, hops, Caramel, sweetness, some herbs.
3.9Bottle - in 4 pack. Very dark brown - cloudy. Malty aroma. Very malty flavor - sweet. Almost no hop flavor. Flavor also has some roast.
3.4Pours a clear copper brown from the bottle with bubbly tan head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of nice caramel and roasted malt over toasted biscuit notes, earthy hops, and a touch of fruity yeast. Taste follows, that typical slightly metallic, slightly earthy, malty as fuck wee heavy character. Solid for what it is.
3.6330ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow. Pours clear dark brown with a medium-szied beige head. Aroma is bread, nuts, caramel, toasty. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, nutty, dried fruits.
4.0A rare beer, it seems an antithesis of the ipa style. Like an old beer. Very malt, little hops, sweet, with little bitterness. Despite the low density of the water, a beer that needs a quiet, rested sip, without stridency. Although not a wonderful beer, I liked it, I will repeat, I found it very authentic
3.9Sweet, caramel flavor with very little hop bitterness. Rich and thick. Very slight weird flavor that I can’t identify mixed with the other flavors. What I think a Wee Heavy should be.
5.0Pours a dark brown colour beer with a white frothy head
Notes of roasted toffee caramel and malt beer with roasted coffee and vanilla cocoa nibs
3.0Sympathique bière, mais sans plus. Goût commun. Pas une surprise malheureusement !
3.9Fantastic Scottish ale. Nutty. Buttery. Bready. Great finish. Love it.
2.8Bottle. Clear dark reddish brown with beige head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, bitter chocolate, red grapes, berries.
Mildly sweet at first and very tart then dry, strong alcoholic finish.
High carbonation provided some welcome freshness to this dark beer.
Despite being an ale, reminds me more of a strong, mildly fruity dark lager. Not bad, just not my type.
3.6Bottle (18 295) pour from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is clear, red-dark amber with light sparkle, finger-width beige head that quickly fades to a cap with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is fig and dark fruit over caramel malts. Taste follows aroma with addition of generalized nuttiness and earthy/dusty European hops/malts. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, about what you'd expect--a good representative of the style.
3.4Clear ruby brown pour. Sweet, dried fruit tones with subtle malt and caramel. Ok wee heavy, nothing special
3.4Bottle at home, dark red/brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, caramel, fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, light bitter, not bad.
2.533 cl bottle at El Apóstol, Madrid.
A dark reddish pour with a nice tan head.
Aroma is strawberry, redcurrant, cookies.
Soft on the tongue but strong on the palate, not long-lingering.
3.8Not a 90 shillings (bit over euro) in Finland but still not that high price. Nice strong ale that I buy every now and then. If too cold, the alc pushes trough a bit.
3.7Pours brown with average head. Low carbonation as expected from ales. Medium body with right amount of texture to it. Caramel taste to it with dry finish.
2.8Très maltée, trop sucrée, pas de carbonatation.
4.3Butelka 0,33 l, data ważności do czerwca lub lipca 2019 r. Kolor ciemnobrunatny, pod światło miedziany, opalizujący. Piana jasnobeżowa, obfita, gęsta i trwała, z ładną koronką. W aromacie nuty czerwonych owoców, wiśni w likierze, sherry, daktyli, rodzynek, toffi, ciemnego ciasta.
4.5Aroma: Medium rich, malty, toffee, floral, berries, dried fruit.
Appearance: Brilliant, brown body. Thin, off-white head. Fair retention. Fine bubbles.
Flavour: Medium caramel, floral, berries, dried fruit. Medium bitterness. Dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Great balance and maltiness.
330 ml bottle, poured.
3.02012 Bottle from Legacy Liq, $6 CAD, cellared for 7 years.
Attack: crisp, big malty
Mids: cola malty, lvl7-sweetness, toffee barley malt,
Finish: cola, slight root beer molasses, subtle rooty bitterness.
Overall: chunks of awful looking sediment in the bottle. Easy drinking sweet malty taste with a huge cola edge. Balanced but basic.
