Bell's Amber Ale

Bell's Amber Ale

The beer that helped build our brewery; Bell’s Amber Ale features both toasted and sweet caramel notes from carefully selected malts, balanced with herbal and citrus hop aromas. Capped by a clean bitterness, it’s incredibly versatile with food, but very tasty on its own.

3.3 I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a light amber with an off-white head and lacing. The aroma is caramel, citrus, and herbal. The taste is caramel, tea, earthy bitterness, and some grapefruit peel. This is very well balanced. This is flavorful and very drinkable.
3.4 Bottle. Pours orange brown. Biscuit, orange, caramel, raspberry, grapefruit. Medium body. Decent.
4.1 Toasted and sweet Carmel roastiness with herbal and citrus hop aromas with a clean bitterness in the end. Nice rounded ale.
4.2 Barwa pomarańczowo-miedziana, lekko zmętnione, mgliste, nieprzejrzyste, genialnie pracuje.
3.7 Orange gold color with a thin white head and minimal lacing. The aroma is a light hop fruitiness with some malty caramel in the flavor. It is mildly bitter.
4.0 Ziemlich fruchtig für ein Amber, echt schöne Kombination. Optisch Kupfer, schöner Sahneschaum. In der Nase leichte Frucht, ebenso im Trunk, dann Karamell, sehr schöne Komposition. HInten leicht bitter.
3.7 Nice amber ale. Smooth, easygoing, this would be a good introduction for someone who doesn’t like craft beer
3.5 On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom. Pours a hazy orange gold..kinda red. Good head of foam and lacing. Smells of some grain and roast, citrus hops. Grain, bread, roast, citrus hops, smooth and enjoyable. Lightish body, but again, very smooth.
3.8 Deep amber color, slightly hazy, moderate to light carbonation. Tall creamy off-white head receding very slowly, leaving thick lacing. Aroma is sweet bready malts, with a touch of citrus and toffee. Very attractive and inviting aroma. A bit of floral comes through after a few minutes. Sweet and mild taste, bready malts, honey, toffee balanced with a very slight bitterness in the late middle to finish. Body is moderate, with a little carbonation on the tongue. Quite enjoyable and easy drinking.
4.1 Found out of bottle from Ingles in Franklin, NC. Faint malt aroma but a smooth and enjoyable flavor. Nice early fall/early spring option.
3.1 Got a 4-flight sampler at "Brewgers" in Vero Beach (hamburger place with decent varieties on tap). Only 4 oz. samples of each, so may have to try again in the bottle. Not one of my favorites from Bell. Pretty average, standard amber. I liked their Brown Ale better. Based on this, in no hurry to buy a 6-pack...but will probably sample a single down the road to give another chance.
3.8 12 oz bottle. Pours a lovely amber orange with a tight off-white head. Scents of malt with some faint dry hops. Really well-balanced malt backbone with a tart flavor and a mild tart lingering finish that is really nice. Low carbonation with a big mouthfeel. Excellent.
3.2 Pours amber with a bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet fruit layered over a malt base. The taste is hoppy and sweet, fruit notes are pervasive throughout. The palate has slight woody notes on the nose that quickly fade out to a slightly resinous hop mouthfeel that finishes the beer off.
4.5 Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. A 2" off white head drops very slowly with mild lacing. Color is cloudy amber with particles in suspension. Aroma is toasted malt, caramel, floral notes. Mouthfeel is light with a mostly dry finish. Flavors: caramel, toasted malt, biscuit, herbal and floral hops. Overall: very enjoyable.
4.3 Bread with nice balance of malt and hops. Rye and smooth mouthfeel. Excellent ale.
3.5 Reddish color with little head and lacing. Slight malt and hops aroma. Very easy to drink with notes of grains and slight hop bitterness finish
3.6 Very smooth drinkable beer with a light moderate flavored body. Low carbonation. Great dry finish with a very nice aftertaste. Very light bitterness at the end.
4.0 Cerveja local, amarga
3.6 Btl pours a clear copper color with a huge billowing off-white head that lingers leaving lots of lace on glass. Herbal/floral aromas with some smells of bread, honey & a bit of citrus. Tastes of caramel, sweet bread crust, honey & a hint of oranges. Medium body, silky, smooth mouthfeel, nice carbonation and a mildly bitter finish. Exceptionally smooth beer, very easy to drink. This is a nice amber! Earlier Rating: 9/17/2018 Total Score: 4.9
3.1 Tasty. Easy drinking for sure. Definitely smell the caramel. Slightly floral at first with mildly sour aftertaste.
3.6 On tap at Das Biergarten. Clear amber body. Smells of caramel and bready malts with some floral hops. Tastes of more bready and toasty malts. Faint caramel malt lends a bit of sweetness. Back end is toasty with a honey floral flavor and hop bitterness. Medium body. Solid all around.
3.2 Pours clear, hazy amber with ruby tint and a full, light tan head. Aroma is caramel and some herbs. Taste is light caramel, moving some pepper and a building hop backbone. Finish keeps the spice. A good amber.
3.4 Cloudy dark amber with foamy white head Aroma is mild grain Flava is grainy Feels medium with moderate fizz Finishes mildly bitter grainy
3.4 light malty aroma. amber and clear in color with nice head. taste is malty with light notes of plum, raison, and faint roasted barley
3.4 Bottle at home. Pours pale to medium amber. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is mild and malty with subtle hop bitterness. Nice notes of caramel and dried fruit. Medium body. Very slight bitterness on finish. All in all a very tasty amber ale.
3.7 It pours amber with a white head. Head retention is moderately low. It has aromas of malty sweetness with caramel. It also has a bread crust quality to it. There is light apple in the background. The flavors are sweet with bread crusts and caramel. There is also some light apple and light herbal. It has a moderate body and light bitterness. Overall, this is very easy drinking and a balance towards the malts.
1.8 Don’t buy this again. It really really really really really sucks. Really. Totally.
3.4 Aroma - nice toast, caramel notes Appearance - amber body, white head around 1". Taste - caramel malt and some light hops.
4.3 B. Pours a clear Amber color with white head. Refreshing and well balanced.
4.4 A very good amber, created by a solid brewer. Absolutely love the balance and flavor.
