3.7A 750ml bottle, 2016 vintage, with a notched best before date of August 2021. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass. It was a very lightly hazy golden orange colour with a big three finger white head that had decent retention and left lots of nice lacing. Aromas of light tartness, apricot, citrus zest and rind, green apple, notes of funk, oak, and a splash of lime. Tastes tart, lemon, orange, funky, pepper spice, grass, lightly herbal, and bitter notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting refreshing Saison, but perhaps a bit too herbal for me.
3.9Clear, bright orange, with basically no head. Classic saison aroma, funky, citrus with a bit of oak. Taste is rather complex; funk, sour, citrus, oak, very bright. High carbonation, with a fairly soft mouthfeel. Nice balance.
3.8Purchased online from the LCBO, the LCBO, didn’t show the name of this brewer on their website, so when I received it, I bought more on the next order. Nice complexity, with nice wild berries (coing).
3.8Bright orange and hazy with a thin head.
Floral, malty smell. Bitter taste with a strong dry cider note. Strong, foamy carbonation.
3.6Bottle at tasting. Aroma of funk, dry yeast, oak and wheat. Taste has funky barnyard, dry yeast, wheat, mild brett and oak. Nice dry bretty saison.
3.8Not really a saison. Quite sour with a good dose of funk, but clean. Has a lot of gueze-like flavours. international beer bar zurich
3.7On tap at L'Autre Oeil (Gatineau, QC). Beautiful golden, hazy body with a huge, white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with fruity, herbal, and grainy hints. Its sharp malty/hoppy taste carries herbal, grainy, woody, and yeasty notes. Ends with a dry bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable.
3.6Bit hazy pale yellow color, white head. Spicy, estery, ripe banana, yeast aroma. Malty, sour, grapes, estery flavor. Malty, tart n' sour, low bitterness finish, medium body.
Weinig nasmaak.
3.9Bottle had day after saison day, had this in the cellar for a few years, love the swingtop grolsch style bottle, pours an orange copper color slight head, unique whirlpool action going on in the center of the glass, nose has got some slight tartness, Apple cider vinegar, bit of apricot, definite wood characteristic as well, bit of funk, bit if fruit, tasty oak aged saison with some real character and depth of flavors...
4.1#RigaPours Amber bit hazy with rich white creamy head. Nice sour aroma. Strong sourness followed by moderate bitterness, rich of different notes.

3.5750ml bottle @ home. Cellared for 6 years. Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a small off-white head. Nose is vinous and some woody barrel notes. Flavour is subtle saison yeast, a very light vinous character, and some tartness. Light bodied, ample carbonation, and a mild sweetness with a light dry bitter finish.
3.4750ml bottle at Brian's.
Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a white head
Aroma: fruity with some Saison yeasts notes
Taste: similar with bready and oak notes
Overall: ok
3.76 year old bottle. Amber colour, slight haze. Not much head. On the nose, it's got some wood, vinous, sweet sugary notes, with a touch of bugginess. On the palate, has a mellow tartness, light bugs, a decent amount of malt. Not bad - aged fairly well, maybe just a touch of oxidation.
3.7WR. Cask, tart, dry, balanced, warm
4.2Bottle. Pours a slightly hazed orange gold, great lacing. Awesome nose of funk, yeast, pears, citrus, rustic feel. Flavour gives tart pear, peaches, yoghurty sourness, delicious yeast esters, almost veering into gueuze. Medium feel, moderately hopped, dry lightly soured finish, low-medium carbonation. Excellent stuff.
3.7Bottle, picked up at the brewery. Light yellowy gold, slight haze, white foam. Crisp and tart with a distinct layer of funk and a moreish hop finish. Satisfying, simulationeously quenching and complex.
4.1Tap @ Ammutsn with B&M. Medium whute head on an unclear golden body. Funky wild Most, marzipan, pear, quince. Dry-ish start, tart and tangy, light bitterness. Medium bodied with active carbonation.
4.2(très peau-citron pur, dingue, très bien faite, plutôt bien sèche (en soirée, pas de carnet, donc pas de deep notes))
3.6$7.49 bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours mostly clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is slightly lemony, barrel, earth, white wine. Flavor is barnyard, lemon pulp, earth, barrel, white grape, light apple, brown grass. Very nice.
4.1On tap in Madison, WI
Following on the heels of a fine regional draft I chose to change the pace. It has been a long time since I revisited BFM. Now seemed like the right opportunity and it did not disappoint. A top notch saison makes me want to return right now for another pint.
AROMA / APPEARANCE
The scent of white grapes, hay, peaches, and sharp vinegar waft upwards. There's little to no head retention though the body does sparkle with a cool inner life.
FLAVOR / PALATE
A strong wave of vinegar supports a series of white grapes, fresh peaches, and sharp yeast. The robust finish challenges the palate not to dry out. Long after the final sip this leaves the throat parched and ready for another sip. If I am fortunate a few more will show up so I don't have to wait quite so long to revisit a world class European gem.
3.6Tap @ Brew Wild Pizza Bar Madrid.
Ravgylden med hvidt skum.
Aroma af grapefrugt, citronskal, funk, korn, støv, fad, eddike.
Smager sødt og syrlig af æblemost, grapefrugt, citronskal.
Bitter finish.
3.9330 ml bottle at home, bb. 08.2019. Pours a hazy dark golden with a white head. The aroma is yeasty, doughy, leather, spicy, cloves, peppery, mild funk, apples and some wood. Medium body with a soft carbonation, a light acidity and a light to medium tartness. The flavor starts with tart berries, gooseberries, lime, white grapes and hints of mild balsamic followed by funk and distinct woody notes some spices. Finishes dry and woody with a lasting woody tartness and grape pits. Drinks like a gueuze yet with a little bit fuller body - still refreshing. Pretty good!

4.12016 Bottle from Crafty Bottle Lincoln. Rich yellow to golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma yeasty, lemon citrus and slight pithy. Taste light bittersweet and dry. Light refreshing body smooth.
4.3Pours a golden color with white head. Light funky aroma. Light bodied, lemony, with a slight spice and a slight sour vinegar touch in the finish. Hint of funk and tartness without going fully.
Notes: on tap at the brewery, Aug ‘18
4.1Draft @ Dok, Gent. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Oaky, lemony, citrus, sweet hints, some hay.
3.8Pours clear light amber with a large frothy white head. Aromas of minerals, lime, esters, herbs and floral notes. Taste is floral and herbal with some tartness and fruity notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
3.9Golden orange, yeast aedlement in bottoms. Hazy. Lemon pepper aroma. Tart. Honey. Drinks like a sour. Saison barnyard, pepper. Light finish good mouthfeel. First Swiss beer at Raclette in nyc. Wonderful.
3.2Aroma is vinegar, apple, pepper. Pale hazy golden yellow with a tall white head that recedes rapidly to a cap and ring. Slight carbonation visible. Taste is astringent transitioning to quite sour. Earthy and sour. For me, it is too astringent, too vinegary, and too sour to be considered "refreshing" as so many other reviews say. I have no idea how to rate this beer. So, the description is accurate, but the rating? Take that with a grain of salt.
