3.6 Bottle shared @ Borefts Pre-tasting. Hazy autumnal reddish color, small off-white to beige head. Aroma reminds me of red wine, wood and oak. Taste red wine, wood, oak, moderately sour, wood sour. Not a beer for the faint hearted for sure, but it’s quite nice.
4.0 Bottle: Poured a hazy reddish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of vinous notes with oak and cherry with some tart notes is quite nice. Taste is a nice mix of cherry and oak with some tart notes and a vinous feel. Body is full with good carbonation. Nice level of complexity with some great drinkability.
3.9 Backlog. Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy dark orange with bare white head. Fruity funk with oak and caramel. Very well balanced and the alcohol is well hidden. Nice.
3.8 From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity, light toasted malty. Fruity, milky and fresh sourish peachy. Smooth. Crisp fruity, delicate sourness.
3.5 Red color with little foam. The smell is sourish with bread notes. The taste is thick, sour, oily vinegar like and has a super liquid breadish sourness. They aftertaste is sour and bread like.
4.1 750ml bottle in a mason jar. Pours amber/red with an off-white head. Aroma of sourness/funkiness, some dark fruits, oak and light notes of vanilla, some notes of caramel and light sweetness from the malts. An incredible balance of the sour and oak and dark fruits/malts. Average texture. A great beer.
4.2 37,5cl bottle from Erzbierschof. A classic among Swiss craft beers, and well earned at that. Its sourness is a challenge to the newcomer, but it is not out of bounds and actually well harmonized with everything else this beer has to offer. One of the best beers for a hot summer day. Better taste, buy worse nose than the 2013.
4.2 Tasted a few times. This was my first SBC ever. Amber color with white ring. Most recent tasting July 20, 2015. More fresh fruits than old sweet fruits than the 2013. Good sourness and good compexity, great how it’s made together.
4.1 Tap @ BierCab, Barcelona, 16/06/15. Pours a dirty reddish orangey brown. Aroma is sour, balsamic vinegar, lavender. Taste is semi-sweet, quite sour, lavender, perfume, sour cherry, vinegary finish. Full. Very tasteful. Chewy, mouth-filling.

Smell of ripe berries, tart apples, funk, barnyard, light malts and hints of caramel. Light to moderate sweet, quite tart, some lemon, cherries and other berries, medium sour. 4.5 Shared bottle at Craft., from State Line Turbid ruby pour with minimal head. Nose is vinous fruit, earthy lactic tartness. Tastes dense on the palate, complex, with notes of layered vinous fruit, fig, tannins, earthy lactic tartness, and a flavor like a cross between New Glarus Raspberry Tart and a Cantillon offering. Outstanding!
3.7 On tap at Biercab, Barcelona. Color is dark red brown. Taste is high sour. Aroma is woody, cherry.
3.8 Draft at Dutch’s in later 2013 from notes. Pours a hazy, orange amber color with a small, bubbly off-white head. The aroma has sweet caramel, tart and sour cherry, berries, oak and vinegar. The flavor brings more of the same tart cherry fruits, spices, sweet caramel malts, oak, vinegar and alcohol with a mild vinous note. Hides the abv pretty well though it is warming.
4.3 (750ml bottle, 2012 vintage) Pours an amber-orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of vinous, oak, leather, caramel, berries, and minerals. Flavor of vinous, oak, berries, dried cherries, and light almond with a dry finish.

5.0 Это пиво вкусное. я, конечно, рекомендую его всем, что любит хорошую Craft пива!
4.0 The aroma is weak slight fruit. The appearance is as if it was root beer with a thin head. The taste is of wine or grape juice. So strange taste but loved it. Easy to drink over all I liked it.
4.4 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small, creamy beige film head. Aroma has grapes, grapefruit, malts, cherries, a hint of chocolate. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and quite oily mouthfeel. Flavour has cherries, malts, Brett, good tartness, tannins, cherries, soft marzipan. Oak. Absolutely lovely.
4.3 750ml bottle served in a snifter glass. 2012 Edition enjoyed with friends @PiBar - Lausanne. A: Pours a light and bit fuzzy amber color forming a small yellow bubbled head with small retention and only few spotty lacings left in the glass. S: Strong notes of sweet grains, wood, grapes, wild yeasts. Light tartness. Notes of vinegar. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Fruity and woody. Notes of sweet malts, dark fruits, mainly grapes. Wild Lambic-like yeasts. In overall, a slightly sweet and sour taste (not aggressive). Light hops bitterness which makes it a perfect bitter-tart combination. M: Medium molasses body. Low carbonation. Fruity and tart aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. Perfect beer. Reminded me a lot a Flanders Red Ale. Close to the 2011 Edition. Swiss masterpiece
4.3 Drukket på dags hyttetur. Disig mørk rød farge. Nesten uten skum. Lavt karbonert. Smaker kirsebærstein, syre, sitrus og noe malt. Svæært God indeed
3.6 Bottle. Glass: Weyerbacher tulip. Appearance: Hazy amber to ruby body with a thin head that doesn’t really rise at all. Just some foamy bubbles up top with a light tan hue. Aroma: A bit acetic, a bit sour cherry, a bit sweet caramel, and some sweet cotton candy vibes here. Aroma is rather big and enticing, but not as bright as I remember it. Taste: Mildly sour intro with some cherry sweetness, caramel is noted as well. Finish is a bit acetic with a pickle brine presence. Semi-sweet like cherry vinegar. A bit out of balance, picking up hints of acetone too. Worth drinking now, in a year? Probably not. Palate: Medium bodied, mildly carbonated. Overall: I’m not sure if this is a product of poor aging conditions or not, but so far this seems much better fresh. Still good, but I wouldn’t let it go longer.
