BFM La Salamandre

BFM La Salamandre

3.6 Bottle from my secret summer Santa, anstei. Cheers Santa! Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Nose with coriander and lemon. Taste follows on a nice wheat base, with added mandarin, oranges, floral notes, honey. Silky smooth, nice.
3.4 1 an et 4 mois avant DLC. Blonde petit col de mousse tenue moyenne et carbo faible. Arme sur le fruit gogo type banane typique des bires belges (mais c'est une suisse). En bouche, fruite, douce et citronne. Rondeur moyenne. Surprenante pour une blanche ! La levure qui en est l'origine ?
3.4 Dégustée le 2017-09-25. .
3.0 Danke an anstei. Weich hefiger Beginn. Holzig herbe Noten mit erkennbarem, aber nicht wirklich eingreifendem Hopfen. Für ein Wit relativ schwer wirkend, weich herb, unsüffig. Konstant aber mild kräutrig. 9/9/9/9/11/9
3.8 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Hazy pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of coriander and orange peel. The flavour is citrussy, dry and refreshing, with distinct notes of coriander and cloves.
2.5 Aromas leve a platano Buen aspecto carbonatacion baja para el estilo En boca balanceada
3.0 Golden color and liquid a bit cloudy... Citric aroma (not very strong)... Taste is bitter and a bit sweet... Strong for a blanche but light for a biere de garde
3.9 Buona birra, aroma deciso e sapore fresco ed aromatico. Piacevole e bevereccia
3.0 Bottle, 33cL. Home. 5.5% vol. A golden clear beer ; small white foamy head with a short retention. Clove, herb, citrus note, dusty biscuit note. Light sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing ; light spicy. Light body, watery texture, average to soft carbonation, dry spicy bitter refreshing. Overall, ok, correct.
2.4 Poured from a 33cl bottle at home into a tulip glass. Getting the same aroma/flavour as I do with many Belgium beers - like banana, but I’ve put it down to Belgium yeast (if someone has any ideas as to what this flavour is, please let me know). Very pale and very hazy yellow. Very strong and lingering wheat flavour (in addition to the above mentioned). Full bodied, slightly sweet and slightly sour. Lacking in carbonation and bitterness.
3.4 According to ist label, it is a biére de garde with 5.5% ABV...very hazy pale yellow colour, minimal white head; aroma of peach, barnyard, lemony and balsamic acid notes; taste is the same with some bread...is it really a witbier?...because giére de garde (as iddicated on the label) seems to be more suitable in my opinion
4.0 Bottle at home. Hazy light golden with small white head. Light dough and lemon, flowers, light herbs, bread crust, lots of spicy yeast. It has light white pepper, cloves and lemon peel towards the finish. Light sweet and itter and under medium sour. Medium bodied. Nothing like a wit, more a sour saison like the modern US ones. I don’t get the low score at all, this is really my kind of beer! So refreshing, light yet full of flavour. If this was a HF beer people would go nuts for it.
3.8 From bottle. Pours clear gold. Nose of esters, cloves, floral. Taste is dry yet tangy, spicy, bell pepper, lots going on.
3.7 Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - pale golden with a lovely neat lacy head. Nose - green stalks and candied lemon. Taste - more candied lemon and the Green bitter note is still there. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture. The finish is both bitter and tangy. Overall - lovely example of the style.
3.2 Bottle at home. Light hazy, pale gold, minimal disappearing white head. Cellar, overriped orange, mandarine, spices, light ginger, coriander, light grassy hops, brine. Refreshing, carbonated, light witbeer style taste.
3.5 33cl bottle at home. Pale yellow with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with quite some carbonation. Some sour tones with subtle sweet and bitter notes. Yeast, wheat, tart and citrus. Nice.
3.4 0.33l swingtop bottle. Damn, this one has a serious amount of floaters! Really cloudy and deep golden looking in the glass with a nice medium sized just off-white head that’s leading some nice blondes down the sides of the glass. I’ll like the aroma. Loaded with wheat sweetness and yeast. I’ll thought this was supposed to be a blonde but it smells more like a cross between a wit and a wheat ale. A little sweet ripe banana estery thing here also. Quite enjoyable to be honest. It has a soft carbonation level inside a light oily mouthfeel. It’s not directly sweet in the taste but it has nice wheat sweetness. I’ll think this is more a wit than a blonde in the taste as well as it has that typical wit herbal coriander touch and lots of heffe yeast. A slightly orange zesty almost acidic hint in the finish. I’ll would not mind having this again. 05.10.2013
4.4 Tart, lemon, pale malts, lots of character from the fermentation, with sourness, fruity and light wood even. Delicious! But the taste is even better. Fruity sourness, lots of character. Yummy yummy. Pushing amazing amounts of flavours and still fresh and drinkable. Highly underrated, in my opinion. As a side note, was this what those American thought of when they started their saison reimagination? Because most are more similar to this BFM beer than a Dupont Saison. (33cl bottle from Etre Gourmet)
3.3 Bottle pours hazy light yellow, with quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of floral, wheat malt, yellow fruit, citrus. Slight sweetness in taste, lacks some freshness. Little carbo. But not bad at all..
3.6 Bottle from Salt Horse. Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of bread, light spice, faint lemon. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish. Decent.
3.2 En god Weissbeer. Den er ikke så syrlig som tyske hvedeøl, den er mere rund i det, og smager af alle de krydderier der er i. Den skummer rigtig meget, så pas på når du hælder op.
3.5 Botella @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 10-02-2016. BBD: 02-2017 Color amarillo claro, aromas especiados, sabor malta, cereal, notas especiadas, cuerpo ligero..
3.1 330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 10-02-2016. BBD: 02-2017. In short: little sour golden ale. Pous hazy pale gold-greenish with nice white head. Moderate head retention, some lacing. Hay, citrusy, some barnyard nose. Light body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is hay, little tart, citrusy. Quite mild.
4.0 It is a nice experience with this beer. I drank it in Lausanne in the Simplon, close to the station. The color is yellow gold and troubled. The carbonation is medium and the foam is thin. It is a kind of beer like a witbeer with more character and there is a side sparkling and bitter. We could smell the "coriandre" and there is a side of grapefruit.
3.1 33 cl, bottle condidtioned, flip cap. Hazy, pale yellow, very thin head. Aroma is sweet wheat malt, it’s spicy and fruity. Same notes to the flavour, mouthfeel is low carbonation, quite crispy with a dry aftertaste. Nice one.
3.9 Taste also quite floral, fruits, and apples. Hazy yellow hay color, average carbonation
3.6 On tap at the Blue Monk in Buffalo. Arrived in what appeared to be a tulip-snifter hybrid. Appearance: Hazy orange-gold, capped with a thin head of white foam that lingered a bit. Spotty lacing. Smell: Funky, musty grass, laden with tart light fruits - pears, oranges, and melon. Taste: That musty, mildewy funk comes through loud and clear on each sip, leading a procession of vaguely tart light fruits. Orange and tangerine are both present, mildly tart and somewhat moldy, followed by pear and melon flavors, both cantaloupe and honeydew. A grassy, hay-like tone hangs in the background throughout, and here and there, some bits of fermented white grape manifest. Mouthfeel: Medium of body and moderate of carbonation. Overall: The bar, and Untappd, both listed this as a biere de garde, and for one of those, it was acceptable. For a witbier, this is an interesting take on the style, with much more funk and much less spice than I’d expect. Either way, I’d consider drinking it again.
