I remember sharing this one with Radoš, he was very happy because of the corsair on the picture. At Svijet piva (World of beer), Zagreb, a year ago. Clear yellow. Tiny to small white head. Faint aroma of sour grapes. Dry, like gemišt (wine with sparkling water). Soft carbonation, no body. More like some wine mixed with regular water. Very bad.
Cerveza de espuma ligera, abundante y blanca, seca, bien carbonatada, con un notable aroma a fruta y levadura. En boca deja un sabor ligeramente afrutado y a maltas dulces y con una buena integración del alcohol.
Alone at home. Clear blond colored beer with medium white head and lots of carbonation. Herby hopped floral. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet spicy bitter.
Blonde en cuvée spéciale, d’un niveau abv de 9,4 %.
Couleur blond doré moyen brillant, à la clarté nette.
Bulles fines partout, avec une fontaine centrale bien vive.
Mousse banche à flocons moyens, puis nappage à 1 mm.
Arômes de malt clair, bois blanc, pointe de cerises douces, pain blanc, pointe de bogues de noix.
1ère bouche soyeuse, entre amer et acide !!!
Arrière-bouche plutôt longue, mais pas complexe, et amertume indéterminée.
2ème bouche peu convaincante, vague.
Arrière-bouche avec quelques épices, mais pas du tout fines.
3ème avec un peu de girofle, mais peu harmonieuse.
Arrière-bouche assez longue, avec des baies sûres.
Longueur au goût très faible, qui descend pour devenir métallique, fade.
Jambes lisses.
Levure un peu fruitée, mais ligne très faible.
Alcool fort, mais il suit l’ensemble sans même le regarder !! Alcool parfaitement inutile....
Finale nulle.
CONCLUSION. Je sais maintenant pourquoi les oreilles du corsaire sont fumantes : il vient de se
rendre compte qu’il va se trouver dans les basses cotes de chez Huyghe !!!

Hazy pale golden beer, big white head with filmy retention. Metallic and sweet nose, some sour apple and wet hay notes. Flavor is grainy sour notes with apple notes, booze with a metallic edge, vague candi sugars. Boozy and sour apple finish, more metal.

Pours hazy orange with yeast sediments and a huge white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and slight metallic. Even from the looks the carbonation is quite heavy. Fruity yeasty, sweet malty, light toasted. Vague metallic touch. Subdued bitterness mixed with rather fruity flavours into the finish.
Very sweet on the tongue. Bubbles. Has its own champagne of the pirates. Probably the right brew for a pirate who just wants to get drunk.
This is something like champagne mixed with a Pils loaded with alcohol. So from my POV, it’s not good.
Mousse qui retombe très vite. Très pétillante et trop sucré. Bière très basique. Le seul but de cette bière est le pourcentage d’alcool.
Quite blond with white head. Nose is a barrel lemonade, some summer alcoholic cocktail, wood, yeast. Taste is sweet and a bit sour. Palate is dominated by let say lemon filled by alcohol - simply like a South American beer with a great dosis of vodka or Carrabian rum. B@H

0,33L bottle (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours clear pale golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, grains, malt, metallic. Flavor is sweet, fresh fruits, citrus, malt, alcohol, metallic notes. Overall: not good, basically hobo fuel in fancy bottle...

Harsh sour smell, bit of booze there. Clear, it’s scary. Bit of yeast softens the scariness, but it’s still not good. Rough and alcoholic. Clean one tastes of apples and booze. Hazy one tastes of horrors and booze.
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy yellow color. Tiny size head, stays. Malty, sour, fizzy, faint candy in aroma. sweet, perfume, alcohol, vinegar, plastic in taste. Horrible. Never again.
light sweet alcoholic aroma,pale, hazy, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation, ling light alcoholic ice finish.
Yellow, bit bibbly with rich creamy head. atse with nice bitterness, which stays on the last part of tongue balanced with some sweetness, but a bit too much sourness (lemon like) in the taste.

À servir doucement car elle mousse vite et tien assait bien Elle est de couleur dorée et la mousse est bien blanche (comme une pils) au nez on va sortir des notes d'alcool et de grain germer
En bouche elle est assez douce et on va sentir des notes d'alcool
Ce n'est pas vraiment une bière de dégustation...
Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow with swimming yeast particles. Lasting, medium white head. Sweet aroma of honey infused oath cakes, caramel, nuts. Orange, sour lemon and spices in the background. Sweet phenolic taste with oaths, pears, toffee, caramel, oranges, pepper, yeast and vanilla. Some earth and nuts in the finish along with a low bitterness and a rather sticky alcohol note that makes the aftertaste unbalanced. All together the flavor combinations are odd, but interesting.
Il tipo di birra che mi soddisfa. Bello l’aroma, con il lievito che sale subito al naso e incontra la mela. Esteticamente la birra risulta biondo acceso, con uno splendido cappello di schiuma compatta e fine, senza risultare disomogenea o sgranata. Buona anche il sapore complessivo, anche se alla lingua sembra scialba. Non la birra migliore di questo mondo, ma sicuramente una buonissima compagna di bevute con il sapore del lievito a farla da padrone, e quel sentore amaro che pulisce tutto. In lontananza sin sente anche la banana. La bocca rimane buonissima dopo la bevuta
Een goed en lekker biertje met een rijke smaak. Niet het beste dat er is maar zeker ook geen tegenvaller
Strong ale in existence since 1991. Off-white, not too stable head, colour pure amber, misty. Aroma as well as taste orangey fruity, caramelly malty, a bit nutty, honey and pepper; yeasty middle, finish warmly alcohol, fortunately not too astringent. One of the better Huyghe products, but I’ve never been a devoted fan of this brewery.
Helder geel bier met schuim. Smaak is hoppig bitter en licht zuur, citrus, echter vrij vlak van smaak. Blijft gemiddeld lang hangen. Niet echt bijzonder.
Bleke goudskleur, mooie witte schuimkraag. Aroma van citrus, fris. Smaakt bijna als pils, niet erg lekker.
Cervesa un pel alcohòlica de gust, dolça i maltosa.
Cerveza un pelo alcohólica de sabor, dulce y maltosa.
Plutôt déçu de cette bière. L’alcool passe au-dessus de tout le reste. (Et le graphisme est vraiment très très moche...). Vous pouvez passer votre chemin.
