Bink Bloesem

Bink Bloesem

After the blond and brown version, the brewery made a third type of beer: the 'Bloesem Bink' (Blossom Bink).

It’s a beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secundary fermentation in the bottle.

We brew this seasonal beer every year in the same period (spring-summer).

The ingredients are: five types of malt, one belgian type of hop, brewing liquor, yeast, honey from Sint-Truiden and syrup of pears from Vrolingen.

It tastes fruity with a lightly sweet character and a long fruity and bitter aftertaste.

The alcohol content of this springbeer is 7,1% vol.alc.

3.2 Poors syrupy, very dark amber, light mocha head quickly fading. Aroma faint sweetish caramel, candi sugar. Taste slightly fruity, mostly caramellish malts, not too sugary but not too tastefull either, soft hoppy finish, lively carbonation. MF somewhat sticky. Not bad, no thrills, I've had better from this brewery, just happy it's decently balanced i.e. not too sugary.
3.2 Botella 33 cl en el Kraken 04..08..2018. (r386). Color marrón oscuro turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos tostados y cereales con toques melosos, mieles, brezos y maderas. Suaves especiados. Cuerpo medio con cierta densidad, algo pastoso. Buena.
2.6 Flaska från Belgiuminabox. Brunmurken med smutsvit krona. Malt, kola, lätt brända toner, knäck, nästan choklad. Lätt blommig och jästig.
2.7 Bottle. A- Candi sugars, honey, sweet, corn syrup. A- Reddish brown color, hazy liquid, tan head. T- Sweet, boozy, sugars, honey, corn syrup. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Not much pear, but I get the syrupy side of it. Some honey, which provides a boozy sugary warmth. Really, not good. Very unimpressed with this one. A;most like a dubbel.
3.0 Fles 33cl thuis. Honing, perenstroop. Zoet, fruitig, caramel, ook ergens een bittertje. (4-2015).
3.4 Tap at moeder lambic Fontainas. Hazy amber body with a small white head. Floral, acacia honey, maple syrup. Thin mouthfeel.
4.1 hazy dark amber to mahogany colour, medium sized dense beige-ish head; aroma of linden honey, flowers, honeycomb toffee and some prunes; taste has the same notes with definite honey dominance; great one!
3.6 F: thin, beige, not long lasting. C: dark brown with dark ruby red tones against the light, almost clear. A: dark malts, chocolate, pear, banana, dark fruits. T: rich malty, chocolate, nice smooth fruitiness, bit cocoa, dark cherries, caramel, pear, bit banana, very nice, medium to full body, low to medium carbonation, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.
3.2 Bottle. Nose of prunes, dark sugar, caramel, all a little bit burnt, and some alcohol fumes. Cloudy medium brown with a small tan head. Very sweet initial, with honey and sugared prunes. Some caramel and dates. Medium body and fairly smooth. It is a bit complex, but somehow not very interesting.
2.9 Haymaker, Manhattan tap: pours pinkish amber with a whitish head. Aroma is fruity and honey. Taste is sweet and sort of juicy, but kind of more malty. Meh.
3.3 Bottle @ home. Hazy dark orangey with a light brown head. Aroma medium malty (bread, caramel, flowery, honey). Flavor medium sweet, fruity, honey spicy, light acidic and bitter. Medium to light body, soft carbonated.
3.2 33 cl bottle bought from supermarket. Pours hazy brown color with minimal beige head. Aroma of pears, honey, roasted malt, brown sugar, biscuits. Taste of roasted malt, brown sugar, pears, caramel. Medium body, soft carbonation, light bitter finish. Overall a decent Belgian beer.
3.3 Ar: Paint thinner, lots of chemical. Ap: Murky amber-brown; small light tan head with low retention, leaving a shoreline of big-bubbled foam and a very fine nebulous heaze. T: Spicy pear, lots of white pepper and cinnamon; very light sweetness; hops are mossy and zesty; medium-high bitterness; almost a chili-pepper heat; raisins; some toast malt and a hint of nougat; finish is white pepper and peach skins. P: Medium body with high carbonation; finish is dry. O: A nice-tasting beer even if it looks pretty ugly in the glass and has a bit of an off-putting nose; nice mixture of toast, fruits, and spice.
3.1 Amber color with beige head. Aroma has toasted malt, burnt sugar, brandy, raisins and some other dried fruits. Taste starts with burnt sugar, toasted malt, yeast notes, some ethanol, generic fermented fruit notes and a light earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. The aroma is quite interesting but the taste has a lot of competing flavors which don't combine well.
3.3 Draught in Moeder Lambic. Mahogany with a short head.. aroma of biscuit malt. Flavour is dark fruit malt, sweet with a hint of warm booze, tastes a bit bock like.
3.2 330 ml bottle at Wild Turkey, Castelgomberto (VI) Italy. Colour is hazy amber, with a small to medium frothy off-white head. Aroma is malts, bread, biscuit, toasted, fruits. Taste is similar to aroma, with strong honey notes. Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Finish is light fruity and bitter.
3.3 28 May 2021. At Maarten's birthday party - cheers to all! Hazy amber, thin, off-white head. Aroma of dark honey, ripe plum, red apple, pear syrup, apricot, biscuit. Taste has sweet apple, pear & plum in a honeyish, biscuity malt body, slightly spicy; Floral hoppy finish, bit herbal but nowhere ethereal, lingering sweet pear & honey. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet 'flavoured' Belgian Ale but not overdone, still quite modest. Original rating: 15/3/2017. 7/3/6/2/12=3.0.
3.1 Robe brune, fine mousse, peu persistante. Nez sur la prune, le miel, le malt, peu complexe. Bouche à l’attaque assez simple, fraîche, bulle fine, moyennement longue mais manquant de complexité. Une bière curieuse. difficile à analyser.
3.9 Tap at Delirium Cafe. Very strong fruitiness in this one. Relatively well attenuated, but still leaving a moderate body. Drinks well. Good one.
3.6 On tap at Delirium Tremens cafe, Brussels. Pours brown color, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, burnt sugar, raisins. Taste is sweet, raisins, chocolate, burnt sugar.
3.1 Tap at Delirium. Brown color with huge beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, candies, caramel. Taste the same. Too much on sweet side for me, for being really enjoyable.
3.3 Výčap Delirium Cafe. Tmavo jantárová farba. Vôňa karamelu, prezretého ovocia. Chuť sladká, jemne karamel, prezreté tropické ovocie, trošku belgické kvasnice v pozadí.

3.1 Initially strong malt / caramel aroma but elements of tart fruit (cherry) appear. Pours murky reddish with thin foam. Cherry tartness is mild, strongly balanced by the malt. Medium body, light fizz. Good hops notes in the background.
3.5 Aroma and flavour are very fruity and sweet. It’s not overpowering though. Lots of floral notes and sweet pear.
3.1 Clear dark ruby, tanned lacing foam head. Fruity aroma, but less so in taste. Amber beer like with pear nnotes. Nice. (Velp 201606)
